I think what makes the most sense is this:

Kyle is the other 3p counter to Ted's role. His ding ding is for when he finds Ted's role, not for mafia/town. He claims that it's for mafia/town in order to get Ted yeeted and complete his wincon.

I think this cause Kyle's role seems stacked for being a town role.
And I don't think Ted is lying about being 3p, cause I don't think that would benefit him as mafia in the end anyway.

I think I want to yeet Sloonei anyway. And then Ted could target Kyle with the strongman, confirming this. And if Kyle is not 3p, then Ted is scum.

Something like that? Not sure if the last part is the best actions to take, but Kyle being 3p here makes sense.

and i was starting to make a point about her meta yesterday...and her potentially being a wolf. maybe it's that.

it's not unfeasible that they actually went for me, especially if i got rolecopped. and the pool for role cops was also small (since almost everyone claimed), and i'm usually a good villager, and rolecops help with kill priorities.

I'm not too excited by theories that rely on inventing roles for the wolf team and blasting off from that assumption. There's no indication that the wolf team has a roleblock or a rolecop, is there?

they dont know what kind of stuff is there, they might accidently enter a cc with someone else by flavor, its really risky and unpleasant, especially if they dont have anything to back up any kind of claim. i think a better practice as a host is to give scum a tiny bit of a breathing room and prepare claims for them that would be safe

It's upsetting to me to read repeated bashing of the Syndicate and the hosts because you don't like/understand how a role works. If you think there's a problem, why not help solve it instead of bashing the site in every post you make? Be the change you want to see in the world. Start drafting standards if you need them so fucking badly.

Champs games and Epignosis games have traditionally been mech-heavy and include some new twists on old roles, or just brand new roles. This isn't a secret. I think it's fun and awesome. If you don't like it, don't fucking sign up for games that you aren't sure you have 100% grasp and control over. Go play somewhere that does only mountainous games if that's what you enjoy, don't come into my home and start shitting al over everything.

For what it's worth, I absolutely do support creating a growing body of Standards for the Syndicate. Not to force hosts to design a certain way, but to make them think about their roles and make conscious and public decisions about how their game compares to the standards. For instance, if a host throws in a Jailkeeper, it would default to whatever is in the Standards, or the Host could say "this is how MY Jailkeepers work", but the important thing would be the elimination of assumptions.

Yeah. I have the dumbest theory about this that could work if both Ted and Kyle are telling the truth. And it involves Tutu being exactly mafia godfather (or protected from investigations that night) and the ding ding coming in late for the reveal. But this is quite ...elaborate and dumb at this point. =p
