Sure. I'm about to go to bed, but here's where I'm at.

I think some of the players who are steering the thread and maintaining a cohesive, team-oriented approach are town. This includes JJJ and Sloonei. There are probably other such active players that I haven't had the chance to interact with, but these two are standouts.

Tutuu has been high activity, but low commitment to her reads, I don't think there's much sincerity behind it. I can dig into it tomorrow to see if I still feel that way.

Nanook is in a slightly similar boat, one post that I didn't care for, but overall has been fine. I expressed suspicion of him earlier, but when I think about it, I'd expect more slanking from him as mafia.

TSP and Bo I think are town due to volume and content. Bo in particular seems extremely comfortable and fluid here to an extent that I've never seen from himn, and he's been the Day 1 yeet in multiple recent games.


These are the players that have stood out to me thus far. Thanks for asking, this was a useful exercise for me too

The nook read is the lie.

The TSP read is interesting. I think he really did find TSP townie. That means that TSP didn't fit into his team's worldview of who the other mafia are. Which means that TSP was probably pushing against people that aren't on Marmot's team but that Marmot's team found scummy.

then i remembered how obviously aligned he looked with lc in seventh saga and have decided i don’t care and he needs to die

i think he’s someone that generally tries to powerwolf when he’s a wolf and especially with marmot’s role being very good, i expect ted would try to protect him

ted’s progression on marmot doesn’t make any sense to me. he villa reads marmot for ??? reasons and constantly pushes back on the suspicion there. then at EoD he votes marmot. i cannot find where in his iso he shifted from not wanting to kill marmot to wanting him dead. his looks like a naked attempt to grab cred once marmot was clearly dying. again, it almost feels too wolfy to be a wolf but i think he absolutely has to die

This is a bunch of nothing. Marmot acknowledged, sort of, one minor tutuu gripe about ted and otherwise called him town for _______ reasons. Perhaps the most surprising thing is that Marmot said nearly nothing about ted around EOD when ted spent some time as a viable counterwagon (particularly when it was 5-5-4 AL-Marmot-ted).

Numerous micro-interactions between various pairs and trios of players that could not be effectively summarized without writing a novel. You might be well advised to try catching up with ISOs instead of forcing yourself through the thread. If you want to do that though, you do you.

My tactic in large games has been to largely ignore everything that happens until halfway through Day 1 for my own sanity. That said, town has lost every such game. I'll start with SPF and KZA isos.

"I would vote A, B, or C" is close to the prototype for the player salad tell. It's suggestive of keeping one's options wide open when not comfortable committing to suspicions. What's holding you back from placing one of those votes right now?

that makes sense - i would say that i am thinking in salad terms right now because of the particular gamestate we're in

i'm not at a point where i can confidently point to one player and say "this person is a wolf", but i am at a point where i can point to a pool of people and say "this pool probably has wolves", and vice versa for town. the more specific wolfreads tend to come later in the game when i've had more time to interrogate people and feel things out

there's nothing particularly holding me back from making a vote right now, either. i just don't feel particularly inspired to do it at the moment. it'll happen

i no longer felt comfortable with my vote on fingersplints, and the concerns that i had about marmot yesterday have not been alleviated in the slightest by his posting today.. i got the impression that he may have been trying to play up the dichotomy of tutuu/myself

I used the equals signs again to cordon off a big ISO review ted did of Marmot. The degree of focus is on its own a remarkable thing, as ted did not give anyone else such attention. I'm not sure why Marmot was the one he felt warranted it. I'll also note that the ISO is filled largely with null or even negative remarks with only some soft positives -- it's odd that the conclusion is then "Marmot is a villager". After that it's a consistent theme as the day phase winds down: looking for someone to explain why Marmot is getting votes. ted is dismissive of the Marmot suspicion in a way that's at least unfair. If he's read anything in Marmot-related dialogues, I'm not sure why he reduces the case to "Marmot hasn't done much". That's not encouraging. I highlighted one post in orange where I think ted is engaging in some mental gymnastics to stave off my own suspicions of Marmot, to an extent that it's somewhat hard to view as a real thought.

Sure, they can be teammates. It's not hard at all to make the case. Perhaps I am not overwhelmingly convinced as some seem to be, but whatever. I am not about to resist that consensus with this analysis.

I was ISOing KZA and I noticed instances of stating a townread of Sloonei but not explanation for it.

I think it drew my attention a little more because the three of us had a lot of interactions in Fallout Mafia, and in particular, Sloonei voiced strong scumreads of each of us at one point in the game, and I was concerned that KZA was attempting to pocket him early in this game after that happened there.

I can understand this, seeing as how I tried to advocate for him at the end there. I assure you that isn't the case, though. His fakeclaim seemed believable, probably because he claimed an less-common kind of role power, as opposed to cop or doctor claiming. That, and his general vibe near the end—all the 'GG town, you can do it'—right up until the EOD, it just felt like a genuine moment of a mis-chopped townie accepting their fate.

The takeaway from KZA is that he shifted quite abruptly from essentially a non-read on Marmot to a tunnel on Marmot. I'd like to have a better idea of why than I do. @KZA please talk about what lead you to your "die thundercat" perspective. He'd been in your blue "no idea" pile an hour prior to that.

I don't know what to do with that. It's an event regardless and it connects the two of them. I'd say it's at least a mildly compatible relationship. I would benefit from hearing more of KZA's progression.

I had a spazz and my gut said "yeah that's wolf marmot". I think if you snapshot my posts around that time you can see I was a little off the handle with my treatment of SPF.

I can understand this, seeing as how I tried to advocate for him at the end there. I assure you that isn't the case, though. His fakeclaim seemed believable, probably because he claimed an less-common kind of role power, as opposed to cop or doctor claiming. That, and his general vibe near the end—all the 'GG town, you can do it'—right up until the EOD, it just felt like a genuine moment of a mis-chopped townie accepting their fate.

Alison's PR claim early really reminds me of her Champs game recently, and Odds comes to play after NF? You damn well know what I think of that.

He is referring to GOC which was a very large game (the longest in Syndicate history) where I won as a hostile 3P by claiming benign 3P at the start of D1 and lolcatting until my win condition got fulfilled.

@falcon45ca how is that remotely similar to anything alison has done this game? the only parallel is “alison claimed something.” but claiming 3P is not the same as claiming a provable pr with a green check on someone. iirc you said you have other reasons to suspect alison? what are they?

You started hot and lost considerable steam. Sometimes it's difficult to maintain appearances more than 48 hours in a game where nobody ever shuts the hell up. And without a clearer expression of your overall view of the game I'm foggier on Sloonei than I usually am.

I am sheeping Mac on associatives reads since he has read up and I haven't.

My own theories of and experience with multiball leads me to basically agree with Mac's theory. With the caveat that I am usually on the lookout for people who lean really hard into trying to clear themselves by solving a shit ton when they normally can't as scum because they are happy they can finally surpass their regular scum range of effort. ie. BoKnows.
