[VOTE: Master Radishes] aubergine Yeah that isn't happening.Master Radishes wrote: ↑Wed Nov 24, 2021 6:31 pm Why can't people be hedgey? It's D1 and the wolves aren't obvious.
All this "x could be scum, but could also be town" and "I don't want to vote for anyone, they're all so towny" doesn't help town at all and makes it easy for wolves to hide.
I have 1 post left, which I'll reserve in case of something that I or my partner really need to say. See you at EoD.

Ah yes, as opposed to people overstating their confidence on their reads, which wolves simply find impossible to fake doing.leetic wrote: ↑Wed Nov 24, 2021 6:34 pm[VOTE: Master Radishes] aubergine Yeah that isn't happening.Master Radishes wrote: ↑Wed Nov 24, 2021 6:31 pm Why can't people be hedgey? i'm not crazy about MR's response to me (because the post was filled with a bit too much bravado - he didnt actually address the concern that i had about him and just posted a more generalized rebuttal of why he thought that he was being voted) even though i don't find it that difficult to imagine him being town
i'll be back in like an hour, and i'm gonna park my vote on [VOTE: DrWilgy] aubergine because i dont like how difficult it has been to build momentum against his slot

Can you pinpoint why hedging is mafia indicative or do you just not like it? You may view it as counterproductive and not efficient protown behavior but that doesn't make it not town behavior. Maybe this is why your town win rate is 0%, but in all seriousness, if I were the problem, town would be winning when I'm mafia... However, town is losing most of the time, which is probably a result of people not being very familiar with each other, and their playstyles. I get that you're upset about losing all the time, but you hardly played in that game and could have just disconnected from it (also it was bastard).
I need people who can reason with my point of view in order to be effective, bouncing ideas off of you is helpful. Also, the clout thing is just a strategy to gain and keep your attention so that I have more control over the game.JaggedJimmyJay wrote: ↑Wed Nov 24, 2021 4:47 pm My view of NAA is quite ambivalent. There are little kernels of the town game I saw in Fleabag, e.g. the partially-troll-partially-cooperative treatment of me and my C L O U T. It’s a small point. I don’t know what he thinks of the game.

Re: Philosophy Mafia 2: Electric Boogaloo
Hedging is scummy because scum are far more concerned about staying consistent. They don't want too much scum reads off the bat because they don't want to make too many enemies or be blamed when their vote goes wrong but don't want many townreads either because they might have to vote them out later. I can link you to times when I caught a wolf based on excessive hedginess or when I was hedgy as a wolf myself. Of course, it can also be indicative of inexperienced villagers, but I'd like to think that the player quality here is too good for thatnutella wrote: ↑Wed Nov 24, 2021 7:05 pmCan you pinpoint why hedging is mafia indicative or do you just not like it? you should remove me regardless of your alignment because i'm never happening and i like to vote people who sus me when im town (either scum or town who cant successfully townread me, which i tend to be biased as thinking to be reflective of questionable skill or warped instincts [im aware this can be fallacious and sometimes the people scumreading me have accurate reads outside of me, but it is what it is])NotAnAxehole wrote: ↑Wed Nov 24, 2021 7:21 pmIs it acceptable if I say you're up there on my list?

@iaafr I'm going to throw something at you that I know you're going to scoff at / think is a stupid thing to make anything out of, but I want you to reflect on it and give me the inside scoop on what runs your boat. I felt like you tried reasonably hard to post things that imply that you're town on D0, and it felt quite... Forced, talk to me about your thought process when you come into a game as "lhf" (your words). What are you trying to do as town, and as mafia.

i was half-seriously making reference to the fact that i might be a viable day 1, especially since i've been off my game recently and have not been as obvious town as town as i historically have been
it was an idle shitpost that did not have any game-forwarding intent as either alignment (i happened to be town but id say its fair to treat that thought as nai)
