Wilgy hit the thread way late and got to work pushing MR for awful reasons and then later on dropped that read in favour of pushing C4 for awful reasons. Meanwhile he spent most of the time voting me without talking about me.

No, nothing he has posted or conveyed is town to me. I think others’ treatment of him may indicate it though. Hally references a portion through opaque reads like Nanook’s. I will probably discard this notion, but I also am not sure he’s the best option today from an evidence-based standpoint. I will have to think about it.

The interaction in full doesn't really strike me as the stuff of mafia teammates. Indeed, I think some of it looks bad (I highlighted a particularly troublesome MR post in orange). The impression I get overall is Wilgy trying to use immediately available data (the state of the poll, at L-2, or L-1 as he seemed to believe) to get reads instead of going back through the whole thread. MR treated that like it was too absurd to be taken seriously; his later posts in this string are almost making fun of Wilgy for the take.

Whether they fit together is worth discussion. It's not super obvious to me. I think this stuff is probably MR's worst overall look though.

I don't think it was ridiculous necessarily if viewed through the lens that Wilgy believed the hammer to be 5 votes instead of 6. For someone to sit around at L-1 for hours would genuinely be important to discuss.

More importantly to me though, if MR is going to treat it as ridiculous while also not advocating for Wilgy's elimination, then that makes no sense to me.

yeah, i picked up on the stuff above the line just now when i reread the post. it’s kinda constructed in a wolfy way with what you said + the “i don’t think i’ve ever seen scum wilgy though.” it feels like radishes is talking out of both sides of his mouth by trying to imply it’s suspicious while not really saying that.

To be clearer, if town MR believes that Wilgy is being innocently ridiculous, then I have my doubts that he'd see it as appropriate to take multiple craps in his Corn Flakes right in the game thread. That serves no purpose and can be damaging to someone viewed as town (or at least not as a chop option).

If MR believes it's ridiculous AND suspicious, then he's gonna carry on more like what we saw (while also being amenable to a Wilgy chop).
