At the point where I wrote lacktown, I had just read your questioning of Ender and how you didn't believe the "game state is creepy and I'm tugging my clothes" from the beginning of your questioning. It just reads like real thoughts to me. "I didn't believe it from the beginning of, that's why I'm questioning you, you goose."

I think I read you quite well. When I do, you say "Why?" and demand reasons.

You read me fairly well too, I believe. So I'd prefer it if you town read me and we can be friends and fight crime together.

Turbulent. The vibe is good, but the solving is turbulent. I still feel mostly okay about this POE group, perhaps with Wilgy added:

I lean Finger town and whilst I am nervous to call Marmot (I saw that little pocket attempt), I currently wouldn't want to meet him.

And the wagons as a whole:
Finger, Marmot, Creature, Lucy, Dizzy, Ender (tho idr if they are a wagon rn) - all match the "weird player not vibing with the thread atmosphere" archetype. In champs this year, this is the archetype that usually got yeeted and most of them were town that couldn't really get into town. I am not saying that all of these players are town, there were scum in champs that also qualified in this archetype.

But it makes me stop and think.
However, looking at the list I wrote, I would add at least Nate and Rondo too (only that I am currently trying to shield both). This is almost the whole player list so wtf yo?

It felt strange because this was the very first time in the thread that Alison got shaded (aside from Mac early D1). And no one cared. Like no "wtf" or "omg". I thought it would generate that. Because. I went against the thread and sussed a top towncore player instead of the bottom.

I'm used to players angrily telling me to stop when I do that.

They were mostly null for me yesterday, though they did fit the profile of "middle Falcon voter" (and they now also fit the profile of "middle Wilgy voter"). But I noticed something that made me wonder if I should be paying closer attention to them so I figured I'd see if there are strong feelings either way in the thread. I know you voted for them at one point.

(The thing I noticed really isn't anything to get excited about it just made me "hmm", and I'll be sharing what it is, it's not like a cryptic "tell" that I'll never explain)

Probably. I want to reassess the game entirely. There are some predispositions there that remain, e.g. Ender is a major suspect. I will refrain from shouting though until I am able to get fresh eyes on the thread.

I kinda think that there is a necessary auto period here.

Like there is a line and those below it have to all die before those above it because if the mafia are all above it the game is already over and we are wasting our time and that's very unlikely.

For some reason I don't want to put Fingersplints below the line. I think Dyslexicon has the most chance of being town but I can't reasonably put him above it.

Mac’s POE is 0 for 2 so far. I think this makes Dizzy and Creature among the most important slots to sort this phase. Whatever their alignments, if we can develop clearer impressions that might provide us with good insight into the mafia mindset in this game. My initial gut points to a town Creature, and I don’t think Dizzy has to be mafia. If this POE had 0-1 mafia in it, then I think we can start to build worlds surrounding “the maintenance of the status quo” as a premier mafia agenda.

I’m just thinking aloud here. I will develop this further when I can.

I agree with Boq that JJJ/Boq were the two most likely shot targets for mafia to make last night. (As he says, I don't think I'd be shot because I had some sus on me, and those two had none.) There are two main possibilities in my mind:

1) JJJ/Boq has a mafia in it.
2) Seanzie was tunnelling a mafia and was killed for his reads.

If it is 1), I'd say it's more likely to be JJJ. If it's 2), it's probably Ender.

I have limited time today and will likely be focusing on those two + fingersplints as my priority investigations.

Things I noticed when rereading Alison's Day 2.


I feel that Alison has had a less than significant impact on this game, which is why I wanted to review her. There are a couple players in this game who know my meta well enough that I think it would be basically a scum claim for them to scumread me. Alison is one of them, and she has offered defenses of me throughout the game thus far, which I think is a good sign that she is town.

I reread some of her ISO from Rave Master Mafia (where she was mafia recently), and she made a BS case on sean in that game (it was an omgus case, and also a bad case on sincerity). I haven't seen anything like that here, nor have I seen some other patterns from that game, such as bringing up players to talk about without mentioning why she wants to talk about them. Alison is talking about players here with much more specificity. Alison does have a very different position in the thread. She was under heavy duress in that game from the getgo, and on a two-person mafia team with an afk teammate. She is fairly unanimous town in this game.

I do disagree with Alison's case on the fingersplints case. My confidence is starting to wane on that read as the game goes on and we keep missing wolves, but I still believe in it. Per the case in P#2293, I think that point number 4 is massive town ndicator, and I put more stock into that than the other points against her. But I do like that Alison brought up that point.

My Dizzy D1 read will have to be re-evalled. I can't hold that one just because I think I have meta. I will not lie that I am pre-disposed to thinking town. Will appreciate other reads.

Creature is not a slot I think we should care about today. If he is scum then he's on the back of several other good scum but I honestly think EOD1 is just kinda clearing for him.

Boq is my blind spot and the fact that he was the first one to bring up the JJJ/Him/Alison probable wolf is just browny points and I love it.

Alison I'm more paranoid of because I very easily townread her solving style even when she's wolf. That being said usually there's a little discordance I'm not seeing here. So either I'm jiving with a wolf or she's actually town with me.

Rondo is playing into his town style. I actually think he has to be town here. There's the paranoia that I know he could have faked this level of progression irl, but the reason I'm almost ready to give him the 100%?
He hasn't played wolf in forum before and I honestly think the headstate is not there in forum mafia to pull this level out just yet. Sorry for the disrespectish read. =P

Lucy I keep going back and forth on. Her D3 start has made me feel good but I'd be lying if I said it was certainly town. I want at least some reads from her, though, as I think I will have a better grasp of her slot once I see content.

Marmot/Nate/FS is my general POE by nature of the fact I don't townread them right now. I can't say I have super fos on any of them other than a lingering fos on Marmot (Although they get to be the top of this little list because their late D2 actually felt really good to my jellicles).

Nate I ... honestly don't have a read on. They feel out of sync with thread in a way that isn't towny like I normally make that read. They had an explanation for it when brought up earlier, which is good, but I don't know if I believe they couldn't fake that explanation as wolf.

Fingersplints just doesn't feel invested in solving. Their takes feel like a wolf not willing to make hard aggressive moves.

Jay? Jay. I wanted you to be town so badly. I really did. I blinded myself when on D1 I sat uncomfortably certain that there was someone very deep into the "mucho town" basket.

But the more I read their ISO the more I just don't think they're trying to cohesively town solve like I've seen them do in the past. I'll try and put a more cohesive case together tomorrow after work, but I just want you all to know my stance before I get to that.

I find it unlikely, already, that I will be unvoting Jay today.
