leetic’s tone in our conversations last night struck me as somebody who is confident he’s caught the last bad guy. I find it unlikely that he is bad.

I do not agree with the criteria he used to eliminate reywas from his POE, but I’m also trying to to default onto reywas as my top suspect going into tomorrow. I hope to do some interactive reads at some point later.

At the moment, I am just trying to stay awake. I have worked full days, 6 days this week and I am so tired physically and emotionally. That being said, let's first talk about Rey and leetic.

I am thankful for people like leetic who have the time and effort to do ISOs. I see leetic as a trustworthy civ, however this IS my first game with him.

Rey is a hard one to read. His playstyle is silly and unfocused. He is right when he says he doesn't take time to do ISOs. I would bet he has never even clicked the "isolate posts" button for an individual player. He just has fun and goes with the flow. This makes it difficult to either trust him, or see him as bad. So, as he could be bad, I am unsure.

Next is Sabie. (I am just talking about the people's names I see as I catch up in the thread.) I can never read Sabie. She(?) is always very neutral to me. She seems a little go-along, get-along to me this game which could be scummy. Oh wait....she has been sick, I forgot.

Nova is the next name I see....I haven't liked him this game, but then again, I want to say that the luna lynch made him look good if I remember correctly. I could be misremembering.

Chuck...not a clue. @leetic what do you mean by saying chuck is "sheeping" nova?

Bob - seems to be a helpful civ, but mafia can seem that way if they care to put in the effort. He mentions putting on a Jay suit. Maybe he thinks that with Jay gone, he can fill those shoes and get civ cred for it. Or, perhaps he is actually good and just trying to keep the game moving and the baddies killed. (This little paragraph says I basically have no idea about Bob's allignment. It is the kind of post MP would always make. "He could be good, he could be bad, I don't know.")

Nutella....I actually think is good despite some suspicious posts on Day 1. So, this means she is probably bad.

Audrey. I think this may be her first game. She is 8 years old. She very well could be bad, but I say this not because of any posts she has made. Her posts have seemed fine. She is probably civ. Jack, you are concerned with her posting times. I think she is in Australia.

Revealing the entire rest of the mafia team, even as a joke, just seems like something the mafia wouldn't do. speedchuck's targeting of him looks in his favor too. Plus, there were a few towny moments of him in my ISO. Overall, it's very unlikely he's scum.

I wouldn't be surprised if scum was on the speedchuck wagon. Sabie and Sloonei, especially the latter who suddenly jumped from the rey wagon to the speed wagon at the end of the phase, are top suspects.

I think with the four most vocal players (Jack, Leet, Nutella, Bob) suspecting Speed this was a done deal but it would also be tempting to try to switch wagons. Speed only had 3 votes for most of the day and there were 11 players. After everything D1 and D2, there were players claiming to have no read on him.

Scum can get away with bussing, voting off wagon or not voting at all in this scenario. I don't think Sabie's "I'll vote Speedchuck I guess" vote is any worse than Eloh's "I don't know what Speedchuck's alignment is. No wait, he's a civ for some reason" vote.

I actually had been suspecting speed right along. I voted him in the previous poll too. On day 2 I wanted to see if he would respond to accusations against him or have any kind of defense but he didn't so I figured my suspicions must have been right about him. Sloonei came in more last minute because he wanted to do his speed wagon joke haha. I guess his last minute vote could be last ditch effort to appear town

We return to leetic for a moment. The only reason this post would exist if they're partners would be to put on a display of unfamiliarity in the thread. I don't think scum leetic and speedchuck feel it would be necessary to do that. I think speedchuck wanted to get his footing early in the game by drawing an introduction out of the newcomer. I'd put a townie point in leetic's basket.

Been townreading Sloonei since "Whacke". He's been great under some amount of pressure early on. That townread solidified when he defended Sabie, referencing the delicious MYLO from last game. I KNOW that's genuine. I was there. He hasn't been sucking up to the powers that be, hasn't been "trying too hard" (in nutella's words) to seem consistent or give thoughts on everyone. He just steps in where he sees a need and keeps his D0/D1 chill. I like it.

Elohcin hasn't done too much. She came in, made a catch-up post, and then left. But most of it reeked of sincerity, to me. It's partly a vibe I'm getting, but I'll try to explain it. When she was making the catch up post, she commented and gave her take on 4-5 things. Some of it had been said before, some of it she took a small step further. It didn't seem like she was trying to fake any thoughts, nor like she was straining for original content.

I guess both of these just seem too chill under the 'Jay Spray' for me to think them scum.

He starts by lathering me up in butter. It would be cool if others could comment on that. His town read on elohcin is more vague and seems to have been based on her tone in a few early posts. He does not touch his two scum reads (Jack & nova) at this time.
His treatment of Eloh here does not give me any strong leanings one way or the other on her.

Continued confusion toward reywas here. There's still not much to be made of this, but I will note that the tone is pretty casual and not very substantive. I tend to be skeptical of those types of exchanges when one of the participants is confirmed scum. I don't know how often it turns out to be a teammate interaction though.

If Jack is bad, he and speedchuck went for the hard distancing tactic early, but not immediately. I could see it. I don't think it's the case though.
I also give a townie point to nova here. This looks like speedchuck is trying to get the ball rolling. Counterargument would be that nova was safe from harm on Day 1, so it could be a good opportunity for casual distancing. Again, I don't think that's the case. But I'll keep it in mind.

What is nova’s “normal play”?

About half the time, Nova is very reactive. Every post he makes matters, but he doesn't make a ton of them, especially early.

The other half of the time, Nova is very involved, but not quite a top poster. He's never the type to ride anyone else's coattails, and I've never seen him push for the thread to be more active.

This is all going off my memory, though, because I'm lazy.

Yeah nova's town. I should also note that I remember a specific instance during the end of Day 1 when luna said or did something which made me feel extremely confident that nova was town. I forget what it was, but it was one of the most distinct reads I formed that day. I'll look into it once I'm done with this post.

Why do you read nutella as a civilian?

she's about the only person in this game i have experience playing mafia with. I'm not suspicious of her and felt comfortable putting her as a town read. I took the list 2 and 2 thing to be more like who would you feel most and least comfortable voting for in the opening lynch rather than being confident about whether or not said people are civ or mafia.

My initial reaction was that rey's forgetfulness of speedchuck could be indicative of them not being teammates, but on closer inspection that's not really what's going on here. It's more the case that speedchuck was messing with reywas a little, and the tone of this exchange again comes off as light banter.

90% of Sabie's posts are her complaining about silly accusations, making her own, then walking them back. Specifically regarding Nova and JJJ.

I'm used to her first post in the game being lost, but still full of basic reads and stuff. She's posted more D1 than I'm used to, but somehow less.

I got that just now after looking back. It's not that strong, but hey, GTH.

First, this is another good look for nova.
Second, I could see this as speedchuck bussing sabie. He's made no mention of her prior, and I don't recall him making any sort of push against her afterwards. If that is indeed the case, then this is a lone accusation which actually appears to have some meat on it, but which was never followed up on at all. I am wary of pushing too hard against sabie after having just lost our last game played by doing exactly that when she was town, but I can't really be successful if I ignore evidence that is in front of me.

Ah. Speedchuck apparently forgot about his initial town read on Elohcin. I remember this, and looking back at it I think this is a good look for Eloh. A mafia member does not simply forget their behavior toward a teammate on Day 1. This seems way too nuanced to be a (very minor) Day 1 ploy.

i feel pretty good about Triple J now, so i'll remove him from my mafia read list. His posts are all very thoughtful and insightful....and they all seem to be a legit effort at finding the evil among us.

Speedchuck is passively on board to vote either Jack or leetic Day 1. I believe he was also on board with lynching luna, to be fair. Self-preservation was his primary motive here. I read the "maybe" as speedchuck walking back his eagerness so as to not appear too reckless with his vote. He needs to appear to be giving thought to things while also trying to survive. I don't know if this tells me much about either jack or leetic, but I've come to read each of them as town elsewhere in this exercise.

This looks like a list of reads descending from TOWN to SCUM. sabie and I are at the bottom, reywas is near the middle but on the favorable side. Noted. He explains his reywas read in the vaguest terms possible in his next post. Noted.

Speedchuck's activity fizzled as the day ended. His last three posts were a declaration of his townread on reywas (the competing wagon) and a resigned "vote for him anyway" then some puppy dog eyes when reywas also voted for him with an apology. There is a part of me that thinks the whole exchange is too playful for them to be partners. Each of them are going out of their way to stress that they don't want to vote for the other. I don't know if I've ever seen a scenario like that. I think it merits wider scrutiny. I'll post this now and reflect on it some more.

Setting that final exchange aside, I'd say reywas and sabie have the most evidence in support of a partnership. nova and eloh have the most working in their favor. nutella, audrey, jack, and leetic also had specific points in their favor. Obviously I ignored most of speedchuck's interactions with me. If someone else wants to look at those, that'd be cool.

Rey is a hard one to read. His playstyle is silly and unfocused. He is right when he says he doesn't take time to do ISOs. I would bet he has never even clicked the "isolate posts" button for an individual player. He just has fun and goes with the flow. This makes it difficult to either trust him, or see him as bad. So, as he could be bad, I am unsure.

You would lose that bet. I am quite familiar with the iso post link, but i just use it as a refresher or to go back to a specific post i have in mind. I do tend to play more in the moment though...which is way you'll never see me to ISO "reads". I dont forget or ignore early game stuff, but i tend to only use recent stuff in my quotables.

This is the post that really solidifed nova as a town read for me. Luna still had a fighting change of surviving the Day 1 lynch, and she seemed intent on specifically smearing nova. Her and speedchuck both seemed to be throwing shade at him throughout Day 1. I don't think this point matters much since it seems no one suspects nova at all, but... there's my reasoning, I guess, if we ever want to go back and look at things.

For my own sake, I'm taking a look at luna's interactions with sabie and reywas next. I've not definitively knocked my POE down to these two, but they seem like the strongest candidates to me at the moment:

sabie. From my (limited) experience with sabie, this looks like prime town-sabie content.

She scum reads nova based on his treatment of sabie AND town reads sabie based on an apparent consistency with her previous town games, but doesn't go into much detail about that read. It could be a fairly bold strategy to offer such strong support to a teammate unprompted on Day 1. I'm not sure I see it, but I wouldn't rule it out.

There's very little here, but everything is unflinchingly supportive of sabie. My immediate reaction is to call this a good look for sabie. I don't know if luna would go so far out of her way to support a teammate when there was no need to. By contrast, she was a bit wishy-washy on speedchuck, at times supporting him softly, at other times throwing vague shade, and still other times giving him a big shrug. Speedchuck is the player luna is always going to be most strongly tied to in games, but she had relatively little to say about him until they were both on the chopping block. sabie was one of luna's primary targets for support all day.

What does this "power show" indicate to you about rey and I?

I didn't mention rey. It just makes you and Nova look like you're excited for the game, and don't mind punching reads out of people's check-in posts. I like the enthusiasm, but your methods look a bit harsh.

She makes no direct mention of reywas until she puts a "Bad" GTH read on him mid-day... she makes no further comment on him.

If we're going for consistency between her treatment of teammates, reywas looks worse. She had relatively little to say about speedchuck considering his stature in this game and their relationship outside of it. Similarly, she had practically zilch to say about reywas.
If we think luna mixed it up a bit, then sabie looks worse. I also think speedchuck's treatment of sabie (highly substantiated scum read on Day 1 which was never followed up on) is a meatier piece of evidence than anything here. But if I'm looking only at luna's interactions with these two, I'd say that reywas looks worse than sabie.
