1) Yeah, this post and the general progression leading up to it, I discussed it back then.

2) I wasn't, I skipped a bunch of pages when I fell behind, which is why I didn't try to get involved in the last half hour of the Day. If I had been present and playing I would have put my vote on one of them simply to take a stand, and I would have done whatever reading I could in whatever time I had in order to inform my decision.

3) I am aiming for deciding who I think is scummy, voting for them, and hoping I'm right.

can you give an example or two of where he's trying to make something out of nothing? I'm seeing a lot of stream of consciousness stuff, not really seeing manufacturing stuff

hollowkatt is engaging heavily with the gavial suspicion. Could be a good sign for Gavial. There's an outside chance this is cooperative theater with Bo, but I don't think so. I think it looks like a mafiakatt trying to get a civilian Bo to do the legwork on a civilian chop.

I would have voted for hollowkatt based off of this post. If any post ever gave off the vibes of talking at one's feet and shrugging one's shoulders, it's this one. Bo is town off of this, and I'll take that to the bank. hollowkatt appears to have no idea how to respond to this case naturally.
I am less sure what it says about Gavial now. The awkwardness of the response could be indicative of a Gavial/hollowkatt partnership, wherein HK regrets pushing so hard and getting an actual substantive case on their partner and now needs to find a way out of it. Or it could be that hollowkatt is trying to position themself in such a way that they can vote for Gavial if needed, but does not want to appear overly-eager in doing so. Gun to my head, I'm saying it's the latter.

My analysis of that series of posts is that hk was actually looking for something substantial that he could agree with, so that he could use it to bootstrap a scumread on gavial. But instead bk gave something rather meh ("look at these 3 posts!").
In other words, I think what you've said in your first quote is correct and that it isn't scum-indicative of Gavial at all.

Obvs I think seanzie. I'm leery of the LC offer from Samu b/c I don't have a particularly strong read on either of them in either direction. You're off the table. I still like Marmot as town even though I think his push on me is bad and based in bad reads/information

I think you're reading too much into this. It could easily be "there's 20 minutes left to deadline and we don't have support for an LC wagon, please suggest someone else". Or "there's 20 minutes left to deadline and I'm getting lynched anyway, please don't switch off my wagon". I think that it does indicate that one of Samu or LC are mafia (why wouldn't hk take him up on the offer if they're both town?), but I don't see why hk would so blatantly defend his partner so close to deadline when he's already a leading wagon and has a good chance of dying.
