What makes you think I'm trying to find reasons to townread proto? We clearly have history with each other and proto said I pocketed him super deep in a previous game, which implies that I understand him quite well. Is it a surprise that I have my theory about what proto would or wouldn't do here as scum?

proto himself said that he's not doing it because the setup doesn't support it.
so either:
a) he's town and being genuine, in which case your reason for town reading him is incorrect.
b) he's scum, in which case your reason for town reading him is definitely incorrect.
c) he's town and you somehow know him better than he knows himself.
Judging by what you've said you seem to think that c is the case, which isn't something that I had considered before. And it's fine that you think that, but I don't think it really tells me anything about you other than that you think you know proto super well.
I wanted to drop this before I began to reveal myself as a pedantic ass, since this is such a small point that in the grand scheme of things really has no bearing on the game or anyone's alignment, but here we are.

I'm saying that proto, as scum, can easily find something to make up to talk about. Proto, as town, doesn't need to make up anything, so he just doesn't talk about mechanics and explains that he can't find anything he wants to talk about. It is as simple as that; and that is why I am townreading him for it.

possibly. I did a level 7 tunnel onto someone in my last game. Took me until like day 2, and then we just hard townread eachother.

I don't think I disagree with you, but what about if wolf!cobbler is doing this as a way to integrate into the game without having to fabricate content (i.e., busywork)?

Nah, all scum proto has to do is come in here and post 5000 words theorizing about game mechanics that everyone skims over, and then collect his free towncred. Everything he's done here just reeks of purity, and the "do you think I am scum? What about if I told you X? Shouldn't you scumread me if I told you Y?" thing is a quirk I've noticed he has in his gamesolving style as town. It's also a quirk that I haven't told him I noticed, so I don't think he's intentionally replicating it to pocket me.

Not much. I've played a voice game but I really haven't gleemed much about what he's like from that. I looked at a few of his posts in Space Invaders but they were all mechanics and I'm not sure how they would apply here. He just seems like a confident player who isn't afraid to push what he wants.

I'm not sure why, but my gut mildly thinks this sounds w/w. Huh.

I think it's mostly due to the extreme hedging in tutuu's post when otherwise she's been less like that with other reads, perhaps indicating she has TMI about other players and is trying to have it both ways with a wolfmate here.

i feel 0 paranoia about MP7 being town

Hey MP7. A lot of the players in the game are hard townreading you. What are your thoughts on this? Do you suspect there might be some TMIers or scum trying to pocket you in that bunch, or do you think that it's just town finding each other early?

Things are still in flux... but right now I like you, Dizzy, and Urist as my top 3 town. I think cobbler also looks pretty good. I probably wouldn't want to yeet proto today either.

After that it gets tougher. I have mixed feelings on tutuu. I'll have to try to devote more headspace to the other players.

jeraldooo - now u may or may not know this but jeraldoo and i have a psychic connection where we can pretty much always townread each other when we are both town. on the other hand we also townread each when one of us is mafia and one of us is town. or at least when i'm mafia and he's town. i don't actually know if this holds true if we are both mafia. but anyway i'm gonna bus him if he doesn't show up soon

M Plus 7: apparently universally townread. into transparency. has lots of interaction with dyslexicon. so...doubt they are both scum
proto - in mafia.gg and daily mafia my scumtells for proto are scumreading someone quickly d1 and then backing off. so i'm watching to see if he backs off urist. on the other hand he put a lot of effort into his reads. but i guess that's the point of forum. also proto and i aren't both scum cuz would we really use the same format of posting notes, hell no we wouldn't, like i actually copy pasted it, come on now

tutuuu - town, i like their style. this is probably going to be my gut tr that causes me to lose the game for town in f3, which will be an excellent opportunity for me to become the forum player i was born to be, next game of course

I had this thought at first but yeah I dunno about Proto. I could see scum!alison trying to whiteknight proto. I'm having more trouble fitting Proto in a scum mindset then Alison here.

I'm pretty torn. I really like some of their stuff. I thought the treatment of Alison specifically was sketch though, especially since the approach clashes hard with other reads given... which may reek of TMI.

I'm not sure, but... I wanted to get some thoughts there. Maybe I'm crazy.
