I think best bet is to go logic as same alignment as nanook and that can tell us something here. however, there can be alignment view modification so thats not set

Yeah, that is a good argument that Logic is town. The idea being that ephemeral would not send a red check on his own partner, nor would he send it to his teammate. Unless that's the point... wait, Logic is town because he received the message?

i deduced that ephemeral's role was the likely culprit behind the message

that made me suspect both logic and sheep were not on the scumteam because why would they use a role that can send a mod message to anybody to one of their own to fake guilty sheep?

1 reasons why i have doubts about this and you.

a player in my community who is sooo good we jking/serious gave him a church, a mafia church. this player in a game fake claimed medium and posted a screen shot of a chatzy that was supposed to show him and the dead players talking. it was all fake. he was mafia. iirc i was town cop. town ultimately won. it was my first time ranking cop. I didn't even know Godfather was a thing. we had a gf in game. guess who I checked? the gf. guess who I hard core defended the gf. lucky for town things hot sorted.

I'm still very naive but I do my best to not be. I have trudt issues when players or player say they can have communications with other players who are dead or cannot speak in some way.
