This pretty much sums up what I'm feeling at the moment. Time to go pack though Votes DomFlyin' High wrote:This has been my first chance all day to get to a computer and I am wiped out from my meeting today.
One question I wanted clarified that I either missed or simply didn't understand is why He-Man is definitely not Horde because he voted for BWT? Weren't both BWT lynches pretty much sweeps with the exception of a few votes on other people? I unfortunately have had no time to go find the voting order to see when he voted, but I was just wondering if that was the only reason he was being given a pass for being a potential member of the Horde.
I see that JC seems pretty certain that He-Man in Snake Mountain, but I just can't get past his vote for Boomslang Day 1. I can't see him tying his own teammate with blindfaeth. And the reason I didn't think Snake Mountain would hex their own teammate is because unlike insanifying, they actually force someone to vote a certain way. To me it seems riskier to pull that on a teammate when they might need every vote to count in any given lynch depending on how the voting goes (i.e. to save a teammate they need every vote to count).
Anyway, people I trust have made a compelling case for suspecting Dom--I agree that civvie Dom even when busy is much more proactive a player than he's being now. And using the "I keep forgetting I'm playing" defense just reeks of WIFOM ("I can't possibly have teammates since I can't remember I'm playing thus no one can remind me I'm playing.")
I don't buy it.
I return home tomorrow and then my life should return to normal (meaning no travelling for awhile, yay!).
*vote Dom*

Well, BWT seems to be the clear choice here, for reasons everyone else has stated but I don't care to restate (because it's Friday night and I have better things to be doing), anyway I'm pretty sure he's bad and I don't really have any other suspects at this point.
AND more importantly
I'm voting for him because he used blue text and my eyes still hurt.
Votes BWT, have a good weekend everybody.

Yeah, I really don't see where this vote is coming from. If you agree MP's vote is being manipulated why vote for who he is voting for? It just doesn't make any sense. There's a chance you could get lucky and he turns out to be a baddie but I'm not willing to take that risk based 'quiet play'.thellama73 wrote:I am very worried that so many are following MP's manipulated vote. Re: [Day 3] Masters of the Universe Mafia
Is it safe to assume that Snake Mountain wants him dead? or could they just be throwing wrenches in the gears by trying to undermine MP's cred? Although, is there a point to that if everyone knows he's cursed?Russtifinko wrote:Hmmm. Well FH can't defend herself, and BWT seems out of commission as well. I may end up voting for one of them anyway.
I know this will sound really crazy since we know MP is being manipulated. It will probably even draw renewed accusations of agreeing with MP too much, but whatever. DH has actually been on my short list for baddies too. Reading through DH's posts, he hasn't offered anything useful since Day 1. His silence strikes me as a little sinister personally. Even if he's not bad, I would feel much worse about lynching a talkative civvie than a silent one, and as I've stated, our leads today aren't great. He may even earn my vote over FH or BWT, but we'll see. I would still be nervous about lynching him since it seems Snake Mountain wants him dead, and I wouldn't want to play into their hands.MovingPictures07 wrote: All this being said, you guys should all vote for DH instead. On that note, back to studying! I guess. My progress tests have been going really well lately (80-93% range consistently), so I finally feel I have the confidence for this thing. Wish me luck!
Is it just me on this one, or does anyone feel the same? As a plus, DH can defend himself, so I'd like to hear his response as well.
Good luck with your test tomorrow, MP! And a hearty welcome to The_untamed!

Re: [Day 3] Masters of the Universe Mafia
I agree that looking into these two is a good idea, I also remember being pinged slightly by Vompatti but I need to re-read to get a feel for why, I want to say it was a weird vote earlier but I'm not sure. Speaking of, does anyone have all the votes still?timmer wrote:I just did a readback through Roxy's posts. While she sort of defends a few people here and there, it was all done very carefully, so I can't see much in the way of connections with people. She voted for Kate for something during the night, was that the shield thing? That's about all I saw.
As for Snow Dog, I'd like people (who can talk) to reread his night posts with AnnaDanielle and tell me what you think. To me, it sounds like nubs trying to set something up. And there are plenty more baddies with btsc than civvies. More opinions are needed, though, I'm far from sure about it.
As far as Timmer, I was thinking he was Modulok but as Modulok attempted the night kill I really don't think he is anymore. Which I guess leaves one of the indie roles or something else that I am overlooking.

Re: [Night 2] Masters of the Universe Mafia
Yeah I agree with MP and BWT here. After the ‘you’ll regret this’ bit, followed by the failed lynch I ‘m even more convinced of Timmer’s guilt and I think we need answers. Unless he is able to provide them for us, which seems highly unlikely based on his behavior to this point, I think we lynch him again. And if there is a chance he is Modulok as some of you suggested previously, then we definitely can’t sit around and potentially let him become more powerful.birdwithteeth11 wrote:Or you could spend this time expanding a bit more on why you aren't bad. You said you didn't have a lot of time earlier when initial suspicions from myself and others were brought up. But given that it's the weekend and a night phase, I'd think you would be willing to post a bit more other than "I'm not bad."timmer wrote:or maybe I'm not bad, as ive been saying pretty insistently all along, and the baddies see me as a great way to waste another day. I can't imagine a baddie has much more than one lynch stop up its sleeve if it is tied to a secret. My opinion regarding lynches is to go with the highest confidence baddie candidate, and nothing has changed my viewpoint of timmer, so I'll be voting him tomorrow.
Unless something else develops tomorrow, Timmer will be getting my vote again.
As far as this current poll goes, I'm not going to drive myself crazy trying to figure it out. I already voted panther steak because it sounds like the best tasting, so hopefully it isn't poisoned or anything.

Re: [Night 2] Masters of the Universe Mafia
Ok, yeah. I was kind of trying to gauge if it was something in this game that I just didn't see. But if it's on playing experience I haven't had then that makes more sense to me.MovingPictures07 wrote:What gives? Why didn't timmer die? I agree with reywaS that I very, very highly doubt it was for civvie reasons. And welcome back, llama! I blame the fact that I didn't notice on studying, lol.
Russ, you had a good point about Daisy that she could have voted BF instead of Boomslang. In a way, you would think that would have made more sense than the timmer vote; it depends on your perspective there, I guess. I hadn't thought of that though.
Thanks for the defense, and it's good to see you posting more.Spacedaisy wrote:Seriously? First of all, it was no distancing tactic. In the instance of you and me in AHS, I went after you HARD all game long! How does this even compare? I voted for Timmer not because it was a throwaway but because I felt completebuts sure on the leading candidates, but Timmer had pinged me because it felt like he was accusing anyone discussing the non-stridor voters of squashing discussion. It made no sense to me, especially from Timmer. No one even commented on my suspicion of Timmer, but how that everyone suspects him too I am apparently suspicious for possibly being right... Ok.
What I don't understand is your qualifying it, "if he flips Snake Mountain." Why do you think this?
Regarding my response to you earlier it was because you called me a no-show, including me with people who had drive by voted or not eve done anything yet, which was blatantly false and surprised and frustrated me. Ifi am being completely honest with you here, I think you are coming off playing a game as my Baddie BTSC partner and it is coloring your opinion of me in this game.
I am guilty of being lazy, not of being bad.
Additionally, I have no qualms voting Timmer again, my feelings regarding him have not changed.
*votes Timmer*
Linki with Russ gives me a chance to respond to eloh, lol: Indi is a she, and people tend to get a feel for each others' play styles, it's hard not to read into each other too much. Plus, mafia is a paranoid game, you end up reading into everything, lol.
Russ, I frequently vote my own way when I don't feel confident in otherpeople's cases. I would rather go with my own gut than follow someone else's. This is not unusual for me. The truth is, I was going to vote He-man, but I had a linki with him when he posted his defense, and it changed my kind at the last second. I felt that unsure about it. So I went with my gut response to Timmer instead.
Alright I have stuff to do, I can't stick around now. Later all.
To answer people's questions about my Daisy suspicion: It's nothing more than a theory. I do think she has been laid back so far, and that alone is no indication as she has been laid back as civvie and baddie before. This defense made me feel a bit better about her tbh. I think there's still a definite possibility I may be right, but I'm far from crusading with it.
Also, LT's observation was interesting -- I hadn't thought of that. Definitely will have to keep that in mind.
See above. I wouldn't even say I'm REALLY pinged by her, I just had that thought. It just scares me because I could see her definitely doing something like that if Timmer is on Snake Mountain and she is on that team as well. It's unfair to hold her to a higher standard than other players, however, and her defense does make me wonder more so than previously.AllAlongTheBoardwalk wrote:Ok, so I agree with the movement against Timmer. Timmer's defense was really weird and indirect with most of it being based on out of game excuses and nothing really substantial. VOTES TIMMER
Some other things:
MP could you explain why you're so pinged by Daisy? I just see her as being laid back so far. Are you basing it all on previous game experiences? Let me now your thoughts.
And is it weird to anyone else the level of agreement between Russ and MP? Russ has made some well reasoned points but It seems like he could be riding the MP bandwagon for the sake of being perceived as a civvie. Then again, I see no direct actions to back this up, I just find it a bit odd. Thoughts?
Linki w/ Russtifinko- I agree that no one is acting weirder than Timmer
Also, I think Russ is consistently contributing and has made some good points. I wouldn't say I agree with him on everything he's brought up, but he and I seem to be on a similar page. I don't think he is particularly worthy of suspicion at this point.

I was suspect about were these votes were coming from at first, but I did go back and read them and that changed my vote from MP to LT. You have been really consistent throughout whereas MP seemed pretty aggressive (towards you) from about page 4-8 and then seemed to just change his tone (towards you). I'm just not sure where it came from, you didn't say or do anything suspect to me. Anyway, It was enough to errode my faith in MP a little bit and to push the scales in your favor.LittleTiger wrote:blended in? I agree, forget whether it's politically correct or not, It's just being civil. Saying it with friends is one thing but sometimes it's more important to be sensitive of the situation of others.
Also, I was just wondering why there are so many references to previous games and peoples playing style? Doesn't this sort of shatter the je ne sais quoi of the game?
(this is french, and while literally translated as "I don't know what" it means a certain feeling or quality that is hard to describe)

Looking at who has posted, there are still quite a lot of names I want to hear more from as well. Any thoughts, Aces, AATB, Anna, DH, Snow Dog, SD, Vomps, etc.? Doesn't even have to be a suspicion, but at least something regarding what has happened so far?
Well I'm new to this. This is my first game. I hadn't even heard of this mafia thing until a few days ago. Interesting to read peoples theories so far but got nothing to add at the moment.
It's my first time playing as well and I feel like I'm still taking things in like Snow Dog.
But to answer your question- I could see a baddie having the forethought to see this argument coming, or a goodie wanting to go for the prize. It seems to be agreed upon, if I’m reading this right, that the odds aren’t great either way so I don’t think anyone deserves a pass. Thus, I really don’t feel comfortable singling anyone out at this point but I'm open to suggestion.

Re: [Prologue] Masters of the Universe Mafia
Well, numbers never lie...and if the "special information" comes with every stridor Im not sure how special it will actually be. Wind Raider here I come!
