I mean, come on. The people insisting that it HAS to be someone who played both games are more than a little suspicious to me right now.

Think of it like this: Rico's curse on D2 attracted a crazy amount of heat for people involved with Blue Velvet. By intentionally choosing to do the same thing with Dom and Rot3k, they're essentially designing a Venn Diagram of people they want us to look at.

Odds are seeming higher and higher to me that the Faceless Old Woman was involved with one at most of these games, and researched gimmicks players used in games she wasn't in to mislead the town and cause mislynches.

There are two possible motives FOW has for cursing people with old-game-specific posting restrictions: Sheer fuckery, or to mislead the town.

I believe it to be the latter.

It seems unlikely, to me, that someone following a game and not playing would know that 2 different self-imposed posts were a thing in 2 different games. I get what you're saying, but I think that it's likely that there are people on that team who were in both games. It's not just that they were both posting restrictions from old games--they were both self imposed restrictions.

Yes, I missed epi because I was following INH's list. So he is now added to the list I wrote earlier: Epi, INH, timmer, and Wilgy. The reaction INH is having here to lorab is off-putting. Isn't it the point of the game to try and find the baddies, make a good case for them, and then try to get others to follow you in lynching who you think is bad? That's all I think lorab is doing here. And she is right that you are trying to steer us clear of the people I just mentioned. I really think out of the four, timmer ia probably not the curser. He's barely been here. I also don't think it's likely that epi is. I don't think he would incriminate himself like that. Wilgy...maybe. You...maybe. I can see either of you doing something like this, but wilgy's reaction to all this talk compared to your reaction screams at you being it.

I think you and your team cursed Ricochet. I know people want to write off the Poppy business, but I came in here at one point to say exactly what Ricochet had already said regarding the curse. I was going to say the same. But then I thought, what if this poll affects the game? And isn't lynching essentially murder too? Its not like its a trail and we finding someone guilty and sentencing a punishment. I don't what to lose a lynch tomorrow.

Two things:
1. I'm glad we got LC. Several of you, including Jack as we now see it, thought the case on him was really strong. I know this doesn't help anyone else, but if someone just wants to be nice and share with me what was so strong about his case, that would be awesome. I just don't get the theory on his baddiness. I've been trying to learn to read LC for years and if someone could give me a quick overview of why he was voted for, that would be great.
2. Rico, please stop smiling and start helping. If you are civ, for the love of Mafia, help us out. You sitting there acting nutty is doing nothing for us.

Wow... awesome result! I always see LC as bad, in like every game. This game, I barely notice him and he's actually bad. I'm keeping this in mind for the future.

Dom. I don't like this back and forth you're having with golden. I think golden is civ, and even though this may be civ on civ, I don't think it is. You seem to be tunneling. Yes, you recently started engaging with others, but I think it's only to try to save yourself/make yourself look better. The interactions don't seem very genuine. Golden, on the other hand, has not only been taking part in the back and forth with you, but has also been playing what looks like a genuine and meaningful game, engaging in other conversations. It seems as though you may feel stuck in hole and you're only focused on climbing out of that hole. I've been in that position before as a baddie and know what it's like. I just cannot decide if I ought to vote you or take a chance that Tony may be marcus. It would be great to get any baddie today, but awesome to get the +2 vote guy.

With that in mind... what's the general thoughts on tony being marcus? It was mentioned and talked about a little bit earlier today but I haven't heard a general consensus. I don't stay up late like many of you and I need to vote soon. I'd love some feedback on my thoughts.

Okay, that was a lot to read. First, LC because I was reading about him most recently. I don't see how anyone can think him as bad quite yet. His posts have been either half-hearted and sober or nonsense and drunken. I don't understand why dom suspects golden. Its seems we all see a civ golden here. I'm not sure if going after dom for a noU reaction is smart, but perhaps for his squirmy disposition. Then there's the bad guy with +2 votes....... Marcus. This may be the most sensible option. Epi noticed Tony may be a good candidate for that role. My vote will either go to him or Dom today unless something changes.

On a side note, someone else mentioned that I voted early yesterday. Y'all are just a bunch or procrastinators is what it is.

Oh yeah, and I wanted to mention that I don't think Rico was cursed by anything Day 1. He was just being silly all on his own. But I do think he is cursed today. And someone mentioned that Poppy is from another game (can't remember who). Whoever cirsed rico was probably in that game as well if you care to narrow down the insanifier.

I may be being picky in this but I have to vote and it has to go on someone. I don't like the whole smiley chart that chuck laid out for us. Above you see his explanation to Lorab about her specific smiley. But why not just say that in the post. It's day 1. Why not get real. Day 0 is behind us and we are supposed to get a little more serious now. If he were civ, I think he would have given a small description as well so we knew exactly how he felt. It might help for searching the thread to check vote patterns. It just might be good to come up with a way to do that.

The hedging language here (might, just might) tells me he isn't really invested in his own idea. If TonyStarkPrime were serious about finding a useful way to track votes in the thread, he wouldn't suggest one idea, get thwarted by Eloh, and then just say "It just might be good to come up with a way to do that." He is talking about how to track something that doesn't matter, since even when votes can be changed, it isn't like we can see who voted for whom when.

Ooh. Forgot about how the polls worked. (In case my language gets misconstrued again, forgot here means "I neglected to consider") Back on my home site we do the whole "vote in bold in-post" thing, so I typically play with a pretty trackable record and that influences how I play. Even here it would be easier to check in on the thread, look at votes, and have an idea where we stand, and if I recall correctly from Mass Effect, we would mark votes with orange so we would have that record. I assume that is more or less a standard thing.

I don't quite understand the whole hedging thing. I had an idea, someone said "I don't like that idea" and then I said "well maybe there is another way". Which to me would suggest that I'm still invested in the general idea. The word "might" is more of a "I'm not going to force an idea through if people don't want it" than a "well, I don't really care about what I'm saying".

I actually like this response to Epi. I think if someone grasps onto this "reason" for why Tony may be mafia, they should be looked at more closely as maybe being mafia themselves.
@jack - do you really believe epi believes his theory or donyou think he made it up to see who would latch onto it? I'm thinking the latter.
