I just reread the townslip, and I don't think it's a townslip at all. There's been a bevvy of players who seemed to have glossed over the rules of this game. It can go either way. Turnip didn't read the rules and commented not knowing, or he is using it to try to get people to think he townslipped, or he is just making a joke about his deceased mafia.

Because I think there's a higher chance that he's scum than K-ness. I'm also way more curious to see what Dharma will flip, and believe I'll get more out of this flip. I wonder how Epi plays his magnets. In my games, the magnet chooses a player, and that player must target the magnet (whether that player submitted an action or not). It reads in a way that I could see that. If it's the opposite (Magnet Man only gets the power if it's being used), then Cut Man would have had to use his power the same time that Magnet Man targeted him.

It seems a little to convoluted to try to save Magnet Man from a lynch, especially when factoring in that Gemini Man was also used to try to save Marmot at the same time. There is also the simple thought that Magnet Man got lucky, targeted Cut Man the night before, and gained the benefit of the power.

It's based on the way you behaved when you subbed in. Is that how you normally play? I don't know, and I don't care. It wasn't helpful in any way that I perceive, and the fact you keep asking me my reasons is just making my feeling all the more right.

To reiterate, I am voting for you because when you started playing, all you did was bad mouth the plays (which I agree Day 1 was a cluster because of the Elohcin lynch) that had occurred and then mouthed about the player base. You offered nothing constructive. Adding in the stupid focus on the "Meow" debacle, a non-issue you somehow still haven't gotten over, combined with the questioning on Marmot, I don't think you have the town's best interest at heart.

Slight scum read still, but not nearly as strong as I was in the early phases. It may be his playstyle that's giving me pings on Dharma, but I definitely have strong pings (hence my vote).

If you had to sum up your case against Dharma, as you see it, how would it be?

Dharma logged into the game and went off on the players for playing poorly. He's done little more than make jokes and complain about the "meow" remark. He hasn't really contributed anything constructive, and when approached about that, he just went on another joking spree. He comes across disingenuous at best and annoying at worst. If he were playing in a Realms game, I would assume he was a jester. Here, it seems he's more just trying to annoy people into submission.

Also, the annoying behavior from Dharma is just Dharma being Dharma and not stupid anti-town antics? Everyone's been telling me to give my reads (re: "feels") on players. I finally have someone I feel is off and have been vocal about it for a while now. Dharma hasn't contributed anything to the game since becoming a replacement and has just been an annoying player trying to get everyone's goat.

I wanted to make sure that I voted since I haven't really been participating that much. So I caught up on the thread but saw that Bullz was too high up for my vote to make a difference.

Not at all. I was trying to figure out why Dharma wasn't sure about Marmot given the previous day phase's antics. It felt more like looking for a reason to help Marmot wiggle out of a tough spot instead of an earnest attempt to gather information. If he had doubts on Marmot being mafia (therefore asking why we were lynching him), it would cement him as town, but I just don't buy that he working towards a greater good in his line of questioning.

He's also responding in a really annoying way, answering questions with questions.

You just replaced Alien, which I knew because I read the opening of the day phase. Forgive me for forgetting Dyslexicon was also a replacement, since it was a rather long while ago.

Thanks for the feedback. I'll do some deeper ISOs later. When I did the GTH, I only checked the players I had no feel for (to discover they had maybe 2 posts total, which explained the feeling).

Please help a guy new to this site out. What exactly should I be able to do? I'm trying to get a feel for everyone here. I come from a place where claiming and powers are used to help figure things out, but here we can't claim, and powers don't seem to be as helpful in determining who is mafia (partly because we can't claim). I want to be helpful. I want us to win, but I don't know what I'm supposed to do other than read other peoples' posts to get a "feel" for them and then apparently post a lot of back and forth banter (which honestly seems like it just ends up being a tool used against players later on for lynches that either make so no sense or are just an angry mob looking to lash out).

You seem to have a pretty good feel for the site.

I came from a site like that too. It took me a few games to get used to the new playstyle. More than once I messed up and semi-claimed or got myself lynched. My winrate (especially as scum) has gone up since then, and I'm getting to like the new playstyle more. It has to do more with analyzing motivations, player interactions, playstyles, and other such things instead of 'solving' the game with roles.

Less logic, more reads. Which are hard to do when you're new.

Just give us as many thoughts as possible regarding the posts made by other players. Don't worry if they don't make full sense or if you aren't confident. Act like you are. We'll use your contributions, keeping in mind that you're new, and try to figure out the rest.

As an aside, Marmot was on the chopping block and spoke very little to try to save himself. The only reason he wasn't lynched was because of Gemini Man tying up the lynch vote. On one hand, I think "It's mafia trying to save him." On the other, I think "That was a really risky gamble, as ties are likely determined at random." Also, this reveals what Gemini Man can do in a way, which doesn't seem like it would be smart for the mafia to reveal on a chance saving.

Also, if this place's mafia players are anything like on the realms, Mafia tend to beg moderators to replace low post/inactive players. We've only one replacement, and it wasn't the one I would have expected.

There should be exactly four scum left by my calculation: Wily plus three other robot masters. There are others that ping me, but these are the four mains. So if I believe they're the four remaining mafia, the others have to be Town/Neutral/Other.
