I don't understand this either. Eli5.
Kill Radishes so that we know if scum won or lost the final 3.

If we lynch sprityo and they flip town, I then know we lynched scum, but nobody else fricking does, and I still have to gladiate Radishes, which I might well lose after Sprit flipped town

if you lynch me, then Sprityo and Radishes will have to gladiate tomorrow and the thread still doesn't know if scum won or lost the F3

If we lynch the turnip then their flip tells us whether scum have won a prize or not immediately, not at the end of tomorrow. And if they flip town then I guess I have to gladiate Sprityo.

Um why not Radishes? I thought Eva got cleared and Sprityo seems real town to me.
What do you mean Eva got cleared? O.o
We accidentally saw Spiny's flip. The wording made her seem Masonic. Rabbit and Eva remembered a post Spiny made that called Eva town, thus we thought that might have cleared her.

(Eva had saved the post, convenientally.)

We had no thread access so couldn't doublecheck anything. I backed off Eva at that point until our Limbo dance because of it. But I'm just so tunneled into this now I won't let go.
there's an obvious reason why I would have that post saved if I'm spiny's mason, ya dingus

go trawl through the thread for it, I didn't make it up or whatever it is you're accusing me of

Yeah, so far as I know; it was a final 3, it was stressful, we debated who the scum was. Radishes tunneled the fuck out of me, and inevitably voted against me; Sprityo voted Radishes with like 1 minute on the clock. I was forced to make a snap decision, and went for the player voting me over the three-way tie. No flip, so I have no idea if I got it right or not.

Also, the dayend flavour prominently featured the mark hitting someone in the nutsack with a baguette. Macdougall, why are you haunting my dreams?

Uh do you guys know for a fact that one of you three is scum? I mean I guess the f3 thing would be fucked up if not but like.... it also kinda is if so bc that narrows stuff down
I respect JJJ more than that. Forcing us through an F3 with no actual scum in it would serve no purpose other than blatant sadism.

always fun to join new communities

I'm also super amused that the wagon on me is composed of:
- Texas, who has a bee in her bonnet because apparently I ought to be expecting her to throw her vote aroubd more
- four people who have never played with me before

also I have no clue what's up with this gimmick thing but on general principle I'm not gonna participate. Trying to read the entire game from six people is a bad plan.

i need to reread drago

not gonna tonight though

I was going to back off my read here on the basis that the Epignosis thing was NAI if he's town, but it still must be said that his case on Spiny was utter bullshit. That kind of prank doesn't strike me as Town!Hyena. But his tone has been good otherwise, and he's doing the prodding thing he does when he's town.

Hyena: Can you explain what you were doing WRT Spiny?
So, the first time I mentioned Spiny, I was comparing her way of just mentioning me in her post to Dragomir's way of asking me about it directly. I liked the way Dragomir approached me about, and plus, I figured it might get Spiny's attention if I spoke up about it. However, I think I got sidetracked with something or someone else because I forgot I had prodded her until she spoke up again while I was around.

It was at that point I just figured I'd return to that earlier point to see what she'd say. However, I didn't realize she had said that she wanted to catch up first before commenting (yes, I didn't read the entire post, lol). I still wanted to prod her, though, so I just started being troll-y. That's where the "over explanation" and "fence sitting" stuff came from. As for saying she was townreading Pawn, I wasn't completely paying attention to her posts, but it felt like a good thing to say. :3

I already posted what I thought about the interaction earlier. Just to repeat, I did find it odd how eager she was to make me understand what was going on with her and what she was doing. I don't even know if she was scumreading me or not. If she was, I don't know why she didn't just tell me to shut up, lol.
Aight, cool, Hyena is town. Scum!Hyena would be having too much fun to explain the joke like this.

This is a very unusually large amount of shade towards me, disproportionate to anything I've actually done

Given I only started reading the thread today and idt I've expressed any scum reads both of Eva's criticisms fall very flat

Not really prepared to vote right now since I don't have a handle on the game state but unofficially voting Eva
This also isn't true at all, which now that I think about it Eva would know that I use my vote liberally given I voted her multiple times on WC1

why does pawn have to be right in this instance? and more importantly, why is pawn towny to you? and if pawn is a wolf, what does that mean for iaafr and mac's alignments?
... I guess a Pawn/Nutella/[Mac or Iaafr] scumteam could exist, but my gut is saying that's just straight-up not the case here. If only Pawn is scum... mmmmrrrrhhhh. Then Iaafr is the partner and they're pushing me to lynch Nutella? Nah, that's a conspiracy theory, I don't buy that Pawn could control me that well. Maybe Nutella's been pocketed? Sure doesn't feel like it. Mac/Pawn might be doing that and then TRing Iaafr because he's pushing a ML on nutella? Nah, that makes no sense, why push a mislynch on the person you've pocketed?

Maybe Iaafr/Pawn going after Elephant as the ML? The gimmick does make him hatable, I can see Pawn going for that. He wouldn't push Elephant directly, scum pawn tends to work through intermediaries... But Iaafr's push on Elephant is super halfassed. Did some other scum make an opportunity? Who started the wagon? 112. 112/Iaafr/Pawn? I guess I could see it, but I don't like that everybody in it is someone closer to null than scum. Plus that many associatives this early is probably just wrong.

I don't see whatever sinister plot you're trying to get me to consider here, Vanity.

Re: Inception [Subconscious Phase 1]

aight so

I was in the middle of doing a re-eval when the nutella thing happened

so let's actually finish the re-eval and see if that affects my reads any

Juliets, Michelle: Both have two pages of posting but haven't voted. Major scumpoints for both.

Texas: Has a bad habit of not voting until the last minute, so their lack of a vote so far is probably NAI. Still gonna start side-eyeing them if they continue to not put their vote where their mouth is.

Trustworthy Liberal: Had a super wolfy pop in earlier that I forgot to factor into my read. Lurking, but that's pretty par for the course. Think I have him on the wrong side of null anyway.

Spiny Creature: Lack of a vote so far is NAGL, but doesn't wipe out my townread. Does reduce it a bit though.

Macdougall, Iaafr: Both Pawn and Nutella are townreading both of these people. Therefore they're both probably actually town, based on the principle that if two people agree on little else but X, X is probably true. I was already feeling uneasy about these reads, so this just confirms I'm wrong.

Elephant: By the same token, both of them are scumreading elephant and I'm not, so I'm probably wrong about him too. Which tallies given that I mostly don't want to engage with his taxingly verbose posting style.

Hyena: ...

So then does this make me agree more with Nutella or not

well, obviously it does because I moved three of my reads towards hers deliberately

but the activity information implicates TL, Juliets and Spiny, which moves them all towards Nutella's reads

I'm also very torn about Hyena, she could well be right about him being town

Ugh.

MacDougall I'm assuming you're town for the moment. Give me your feels about Nutella and Hyena.

iaafr: I recall you had a case against Nutella earlier for being "limp" and having bad tone. Did you have any more concrete accusations or was it just a toneread? While you're at it, what's your impression of Hyena?

Let me just reflect some of your phrasing back at you, Nutella.

"such garbage lol"
"Give me a goddamn break."
"this is so egotistical"
"absurd charts"

Is this or is this not AtE?

Secondly:

"you are just reposting our read lists and coming to some conclusions without any explanation"

This is post #2063.

I had already added a legend in #2049.

Why did you panic so quickly?

In fact, why did you immediately leap to the conclusion that I was going to scumread you when you had apparently only seen my first chart at that point? I could well have shifted my reads towards yours based on this analysis. Again, why the sudden panic?

I doublechecked my read list against pawn's because I know he's good at reading games, and usually does so fairly truthfully regardless of alignment. His reads agree with mine, and disagree with yours. That says I'm not just playing badly; you're scum.
let me get this straight

pawn's reads make me scum

???????

*confused math lady*
The fact that my reads agree with Pawn's but not yours say that I'm reading the game correctly and you're reading the game incorrectly. Scum have strong reason to read the game incorrectly. Therefore you are either scum or incompetent, and I don't think of you as an incompetent player. Nor have you twigged me as playing unusually badly this game.
This is such garbage lol. Why are pawn's reads "correct" this is so egotistical. And sure maybe my reads are wrong, like I said I'm not feeling very strongly about a lot of them. Give me a goddamn break.
Pawn's reads are correct because he's good at mafia. The fact they largely-but-not-entirely agree with mine also helps.

dark green: town
green: townlean

grey: null

as you can see, my reads and nutella's reads disagree a lot.
oh.

so because we disagree I have to be scum?

no
no, because I and Pawn agree, and you disagree with both of us, you're scum. Your perspective of the game is not a town perspective. That or Pawn's pocketed me extremely hard, but I've barely interacted with him this game so I seriously doubt that.
