What exactly is the "nuance" here?
Being able to shamelessly exist in the state where Epi's posting does not seem good but also pushing him for it does not seem good, because his alignment is unknown
Isn't everyone's alignment unknown?
BEEP. BEEP. BEEP. BEEP.

Oh! Oh my. One moment, please. The Perspective Discrepancy Module has never actually done that before.

"Because his alignment is unknown."

Interesting choice of words, Duelist. Unknown to whom, exactly? From a Town perspective, everyone's alignment is unknown. But you seem to be separating Epi into a particular category of player whose alignment you don't know.

[VOTE: duelist] aubergine
This is a good post
No, it's an absolutely ridiculous post and I kinda expect better analysis from you if you're town for sone reason
Nah, I should've been in bed an hour ago.

Why do you expect better?

I think LC highlights the issue with the post quite well. 'Because his alignment is unknown' should be the default state for T, not the highlighted reason. I think there's just enough weird stuff in what I've seen to warrant why you're being voted for.
You're making no sense, no shit does not knowing alignment be the default state for town, it's literally why I'm explaining why it's towny of Scotty to say that

So yeah, maybe. That could be a tell. Other than that it looks like she was only able to be here for about 15 minutes.

Mac 3p?
I don’t like you immediately labeling Mac as 3p in a game that may not even have 3p’s.

Surely it makes more sense to develop good reasons independent of things that could easily be blind spots?

Is this a structure issue? Something like: 'because to T Scotty, Epi's alignment is unknown' would've taken that statement way farther. I think I read it the same way LC did where it almost seemed as if YOU were reminding yourself that Epi's alignment SHOULD be unknown and thus this is a good reason to drop a tr on Scotty.

Admittedly, this post doesn't look good either. Just say you'll be unavailable, no need to LARP about how the wolves would totally be destroyed right now if you were around
Disagree, that kind of statement is +town
Its neutral but I don't feel great about leetic going after it.

I don't like that there's VERY little reasoning in the ISO. What reasoning there is is flimsy and had to be coerced by other players.

[VOTE: Nicole] aubergine

This is fine.

I'm going to sleep. Will probably regret not voting Rondo here, but at least Nicole seems to have tension with both Leetic and DM.

Now departing. Please clear the doors.

I townread Scotty for plenty of things totally unrelated to this and only elaborated on this because I was asked, and really most of my point in that post was pointing out that leetic was making a bad nitpicky argument and that's wolfy whereas Scotty was towny. I was about to complain about how opportunistic Wilgy is being, showing up at this late hour and shading me when I said not to expect me around at deadline but idk I'm just not actually feeling it, bad as this interaction is

Yes.

Again, I think it's because of how you structured your argument. It didn't seem as if you were saying 'T Scotty could see both epi having bad posts AND leetic pushing there as bad because T Scotty wouldn't know Epi's alignment.' it read as 'Scotty seeing both epi and you as bad and voting there is towny. Epi's alignment is unknown.'

Are you saying that if the post said "Being able to shamelessly exist in the state where Epi's posting does not seem good but also pushing him for it does not seem good, because his alignment is unknown to Scotty" it would read totally different to you

that's a ridiculous way to try to sort, 99% of "scumslips" are differences in grammar and I am not a stickler for perfectly formed sentences either, and I make broad confident statements all the time

It did occur to me that it was pockety because I don't recall her ever really having an opinion on me previously in other games but like, I don't particularly think there's anything off about her posting otherwise, her attitude seems sorta nonchalantly towny? She had more substance in some other games true, but she also had some OP roles where she could just casually drop helpful info from her role and be towny from that. Obviously that doesn't work this game.

honestly want to townread duelist but her multiball point + approach to me felt jumpy yesterday so I'm backing off from townreading her for now

her leetic vote seems fine tho

nutella is finding her footing still which is pair of the course for her towngame but its early and she becomes obvious later on so im holding onto that

still not really feeling nicole, i guess her leetic sus is okay but she is reminding me a bit of an old scumgame of hers

game too large and i dont have many townreads

push comes to shove im sheeping scotty and maybe nutella if i feel good abt it
DM feels super town imo.
I super get the antsiness over the anticlaim stuff and this is town!DM besides it
I would even contend this is her most content-filled post and if she flips wolf, I’m down to fully clear DM because of it (unless this is multiball)

[VOTE: Nicole] aubergine
It did occur to me that it was pockety because I don't recall her ever really having an opinion on me previously in other games but like, I don't particularly think there's anything off about her posting otherwise, her attitude seems sorta nonchalantly towny? She had more substance in some other games true, but she also had some OP roles where she could just casually drop helpful info from her role and be towny from that. Obviously that doesn't work this game.
My feeling is that her posts have no bite and in fact are probably toothless. An 88-year-old kindly geezer that secretly belonged to the Yakuza 40 years ago

When was the last time you rolled wolf? I want to look it up
I believe it's this game https://www.fortressoflies.com/t/ice-cr ... tory/12809
Damn, it’s been a year?

Also just looking at this game is…SUCH a different feel than any game I’ve seen of yours. It looks objectively wolfy in a way I can’t quite describe.

Willing to let you simmer on the pavement today. Could just be town, if I’m comparing wolf games 1:1. Which I obv shouldn’t. But there are other pedestrians in the sea

I'm not really feeling the two "counterwagons" all that much either. Rondo just has too little posts for me to care much about that slot. Mainly switching to [VOTE: Duelist Mirage] aubergine because of their vote history having an opportunistic vote on me then switching to another popular wagon (Rondo) that was unlikely to defend themselves but I'll have to dig deeper

I also think it's typically better to have an actual counterwagon regardless since if there's only one real wagon and they flip town there's not really a lot we can get from VCA

Rondo would be far less wolfy if he didn’t instantly qualify for the prize and then dip. Thats like stopping to take a picture in the middle of the intersection during AO- disgraceful.

It is now Night One. The thread is unlocked. You have ~22 hours to get in your night actions, because it's daylight savings for me overnight and I can't quite work out how that's going to screw with timezones yet.

Players who met the prize roleplay threshold are:

Long Con
nutella
Duelist Mirage
GoSpursGo
pyxxy
Jess
Scotty
tranq
rondo
Epi
DrWilgy

The player with the extra entry for the post that made me laugh most is tranq for this:

It's not merely the origami, but the proof of life shot against the post it was made to respond to.

Winner of the prize will be privately notified that they have won, and what the prize is.
