It doesn't always bother me. There's a time and a place for it, and sometime it keeps the atmosphere light when shit is getting down and dirty between other players.

It's when there's literally zero contribution is when I dislike it. But I'd still prefer IDGAF players over players straight up disappearing from the game and not posting at all.
That's understandable and agreeable, I think. I just tend to dislike it when I'm in super hardcore mode and it seems like too many players are in that mode, and it's like, well wtf am I even doing then? It kills town morale among other things.
Fortunately, low morale isn't something we have to worry about.

Agree. We discussed this earlier.

dunya wrote: Fri Apr 27, 2018 5:48 am I am semi caught up but stuck in meetings with managers all day. I have some thoughts I'll share before end of day I promise.

I have broken the Colin and Sloonei tie. I had day 1 concerns about Sloonei and his ColinIsCool vote. At this point, I wouldn't be surprised if it was early distancing masked as a pressure vote on day 1 after everyone questioned him about it.

I have more thoughts about Sloonei I'll share before eod. But for now, I have a bigger scum read on sloonei than Colin.

I have some questions for some Colin votes I'll ask later too.
Yikes. This D2 post looks bad in hindsight, don’t it? Dunya hadn’t mentioned Colin thus far except in context to discounting Sloonei and his “sloppy” voting. Not only that, but when the vote was tied, she had “questions” for some Colin voters. Seems like she was ready to give a big ole talking to them, but couldn’t think of any proper defense of Colin except to slander Sloonei again.
Yes. It does.

Nova, townish. Epi, sig, town. Those were my reads. Again, check ISO.
I don't like the Colin push. I think it looks more like people jabbing a frightened animal with a long stick than real baddie hunting.

Well said, that's pretty much how I feel about the Colin Situation.

Wow you are definitely bad.
Long Con wrote: Thu Apr 26, 2018 8:47 am Not really sold on Colin, I think he will end up being lynched and a Civ. A lot of that is based on my dubiousness around the broad assault on him for things I don't really see as baddie-indicative.

Lunalee, maybe. I have no real issue with her being bad.

Sloonei... Mac seems to be on fire this game, and have a really solid footing from which to judge people, so his case on Sloonei is probably really good. I could follow a Sloonei vote. He also wants people to vote for Colin, but I am not sure what his endgame is there.
Hahahahahaha that last post I highlighted: “Mac has been spot on with his reads all game, so we should probably follow his case on Sloonei...also he reads Colin bad, I’m not sure what his motive is there...”
:haha:

Oh come on, that’s blatantly hypocritical and it’s not even close.

LC looks bad. Good call, Golden
I have been asking people to look at this for a long time now. His Colin content is really really really really bad.
I feel like we discussed this. :p Maybe I just thought it annoyed.

With the strategy championed by Themistocles accepted begrudgingly by many in Athenian seats of power, word reached the Spartans of the role they were meant to play. For King Leonidas, this was perhaps a matter of little import -- the Spartans were always going to serve as the most important ground-terrain defense of Greece regardless of the location. He assembled approximately 7,000 men from various castes of Spartan society, including even the servant helots who had no rights as non-citizens. Among the force were 300 of his most experienced and skilled fighters, forming the basis of modern memory's fondest depiction of the Greco-Persian Wars: a small contingent of brave Spartan soldiers standing against thousands upon thousands of Persian invaders. He led his army north past Attica to the pass at Thermopylae, a location destined to become the grounds of arguably the war's most famous battle (and the one depicted liberally in the film "300").

At around the same time, the new Athenian navy under the direct command of Themistocles himself as well as a Spartan admiral, selected for the specific purpose of fostering trust between the two Greek powers, moved north along the northeastern coast. They were set to meet the Persian fleet in short order, and ideally at the same time as the Spartan soldiers at Thermopylae were engaged by Xerxes on the ground. The plan was a complex one, and many pieces needed to fall into place for it to be effective.

Long Con has been lynched. He was:

Ephor

Image

The Spartan ephors were a council of around five whole ruled over Sparta in conjunction with two kings. The ephors were said to work as the voices of the people, or as their chief representatives -- though that can be questioned. Spartan government was quite bizarre by both modern and ancient standards; it is difficult to find analogs elsewhere in the annals of history. During war time their influence may have been a bit less significant than that of the generals or certainly the kings.

Night 3 is underway. You have 23 hours to get your night actions to me.

I really don't have time to see exactly when it happened but if it happened during the Colin/Sloonei tie time then she could have been trying to save Colin by placing a vote on Sloonei and forgot what she had said about LC.

I'm actually more inclined to vote Luna today than LC.

(I say that because I haven't looked into LC in depth yet and I'm lazy. I wake up at 7am and have a 2 hour lunch then finished work at 5.15pm then have another meeting in an hour over dinner. fuck my life atm).
The case against LC is not dependent upon Luna being bad. What are your thoughts on the case Scotty (I think it was Scotty...) put forward for LC?

I was giving LC a lot of town points for his ignorance of trade mechanics. And then I remembered this post:
Long Con wrote: Sun Jun 11, 2017 8:21 pm This is a Last Man Standing game, right? So why give someone protection?

And that question didn't even need to be asked. The only relevant question is: what the hell good is a Public Protection? It will not stop a kill.

I will probably vote to restrict someone's BTSC. I think being competitive is a healthier attitude in an LMS game.
Long Con won this game as mafia.

That random thought, along with LC's Colin interactions, swayed me.
