Scotty doesn’t the first portion of the game distancing from Colin, ultimately voting Sloonei to leave open a “counterwagon” while insisting Colin was his top suspect.

That’s ping number 1.

He then spends quite some time going after people who aren’t mafia for supposedly being Colin’s teammates: Luna, Choutas, Daisy, LC and Dunya. He also talks a lot of crap about Nova but doesn’t vote for him until someone calls him out for distancing. He immediately votes Nova in response but moves his vote later.

Nova has about 5 posts saying Speed is suspicious and agrees with me Speed is probably bad.

Then comes yesterday. Speed and Scotty both decide to lynch team idgaf. I decide to get serious and Scotty keeps after me anyway, saying I’m only doing anything cause of his pressure.

You see, his arguement for voting for me is that he’d never know if I was bad so he has to get rid of me now. So if I was only posting due to his pressure....what’s the problem? I’m posting. Now Scotty can figure Jack out. But like Speedchuck, Scotty wasn’t looking for a baddie. He was looking for low hanging 3P fruit and got a nasty surprise when the only thing he found was supatown Jack.

Then comes ping number 3.

Scotty has expressed mild suspicion of Speedchuck all game but when push came to shove, he wasn’t interested. He went after Nova instead. Totally ignored my case and Daisy’s. Like with the Colin train, Scotty eventually comes around to the idea that Speed is bad once his lynch is all but inevitable but chooses to leave his vote on the counterwagon he was pushing.




Not sure if he’s distancing from Nova or setting him up. I lean towards the later. We’ll see. Either way, Scotty needs to go.

You'll see a trend from me often in games where I don't feel like just adding to the prevailing wagon unless I've got no other options. What's wrong with a counterwagon? You never know if there are lynch switching abilities out there, so why operate in a linear fashion? What good is my vote on a 13 (or however many) person wagon?

Anyway, yes, I looked at some people I had doubts about and looked through their ISOs in relation to Colin, a confirmed scum. And nova's looked glaringly bad out of all them, but cbob brought up that Colin could have voted to save nova on D1, but didn't, so I backed off based on that good point. Then Golden brought up a counterpoint that Colin could have just as easily done it so that later on, he wouldn't be linked. Which is a take that I was having trouble connecting to unless you take into account some teammates would be bussing. So I don't find it all that positive for nova in the long run anymore.

Wasn't interested? That's a misrepresentation. I was interested, I just couldn't build a case of my own to place why I felt that way. His relationship to Colin when I did my initial perusal of people came back with me scratching my head. He looked good to me on paper, but in reality he was distancing himself.

All I see here is that I initially viewed speed as bad and still had suspicion. Other people made cases better than mine. Then I put some together as well today and was satisfied with the lynches. That I didn't vote for someone I [almost] equally suspected makes me suspicious is a load of crockpot.

Scotty is a possible scum player. As MP said, he’s going after low hanging fruit. Nova and Speedchuck are juicy targets if you want to lynch scum. Team idgaf is actually full of townies if you pay them half an ounce of attention. Scotty faulters sometimes as town but this is a particularly weak method of solving and I don’t buy his panic at all or his complaints about the Luna lynch.

If you didn't buy my panic, you don't know my game at all. I tend to panic when I feel town is losing.

OK big player, if you (and daisy) wanna take credit for the heavy lifting, that's fine. I tend to post cases on people, sometimes people skim them, sometimes they read them, often no one responds and I'm sitting there twiddling my thumbs. I brought up that speedchuck looked sus as fuck when he did GTH reads way back when, but had 2 people coming to his defense and no one really backing me up. So, yeah, I sat on my hands. Sometimes my cases aren't easily accessible or succinct enough for your average joe bloe to go, "hey, I can relate to that!"

And I'm not going to continue a conversation about getting speed lynched. I jsut linked you some examples. I would find it far less defensible on my part if I was defending against the speedchuck lynch. But I wasn't doing that, was I?

I wanted nova lynched before speed. I already alluded to that. And then once I linked nova interactions to speed, I didn't give a shit. Both had good trains going. And switching from you to nova saved a few votes from you just in case there were vote/lynch shenanigans. You're welcome.

I think I'm cooling on Nova. Feel more confident that Speedchuck's early treatment of him was more likely a case of TMI. So now I'm revising my opinion of him from Wrong and bad to just wrong.

I may ISO him tomorrow though to be sure about it. Him and cbob are on my ISO list.

dunya's interactions with/about colin:

Sloonei - I've heard the word sloppy being thrown around, and tbh, I think it applies to Sloonei most. The Colin vote reasoning was bad. He voted for him because he offered no thoughts? Yeah, Colin and about 10 other people at least. Apart from a nod to MP as town, and voting for Colin, I have no idea where Sloonei's head is at and that worries me. I get he's 5 pages behind, but even so, I'd say he has a good 7 pages of content and I would expect more. I do feel like he went back on the right track of Sloonei-like prodding right before he had to leave for work again, but I'd like to see more.

Strong defence for Colin here. That's it's own thing, I care more about Sloonei here. There's nothing abnormal with the vote Sloonei put on Colin Day 1. It was a pressure vote justified by Colin's presence in the thread with no contribution. It's different to the 10 other people for that very reason. dunya isn't so simple-minded as to ignore that. Hate this.

I am semi caught up but stuck in meetings with managers all day. I have some thoughts I'll share before end of day I promise.

I have broken the Colin and Sloonei tie. I had day 1 concerns about Sloonei and his ColinIsCool vote. At this point, I wouldn't be surprised if it was early distancing masked as a pressure vote on day 1 after everyone questioned him about it.

I have more thoughts about Sloonei I'll share before eod. But for now, I have a bigger scum read on sloonei than Colin.

I have some questions for some Colin votes I'll ask later too.

Tried to save Colin by putting Sloonei in the lead when it was tied. Have Marmot check his technicolour thingy - there was a lot of votes on these two names at the time. Not a lot of wiggle room left there. Friendly reminder that I restored equilibrium.

@ColinIsCool - moving my vote to Colin. Sorry I couldn't have been here when the drama was happening, but I'm comfortable with Colin being lynched today.

Would be interesting to know whether the Colin lynch was already set in stone at this point. This vote means nothing if so.

dunyas interactions with/about speedchuck:

speedchuck - I'd like to see more activity from speed, I'm wary of him in every game as a general rule. Heck, in FE I suggested we kill off rabbit8 an inactive just so speedchuck didn't replace him because I didn't want to face him. I know he's slick, but I also know people never give him much of a chance when he's town. I didn't like how he hadn't provided any reads or comments until his Town and Remainder list, but at least he was one of the first to offer that, so that's something. I hope I see more directed attention from speed on anyone (some people).

I like those three, they actually indicate to me TH is paying more attention to the thread than I thought initially. I'm not acquainted with this loose playstyle, and the unknown is always a challenge to read.

I feel like you want to read TH as town, either because he's your teammate or because his playstyle doesn't make sense to you as scum. That's why you keep excusing your unaquaintance with the playstyle.

But granting TH points for "paying attention to the thread" stood out to me.

I'm going to ISO him, but I don't recall him being the first to call out Colin (I believe that was Golden and Mac).

I would say that analyzing day 1 votes with someone like Colin is most helpful if we had a confirmed scum, but what do I know.

Colin is bad. He’s not bothering to defend against it. He gettin lynched and then we’ll have some juicy interactions to analyze. I’m aleave my vote on Sloonei as a sensible counterwagon but ready for Colin to be lynched.

Timing is important here. If he was among the first votes on Sloonei I can interpret it as Scotty wanting to encourage multiple wagons (not a bad look). If it was later on he's just contradicting himself.

Which names surprised you or gave you the most pause on this list?

Nova. I was considering moving my vote to him from Epi, but no. I hold firm. I'm not certain on Epi, but I suspect him more than Nova. I don't have a reason to vote Nova.

Spacedaisy. I hadn't realized she was in the game. I POE'd it to her.

Kylemii. Gave me a lot of pause, but that good feeling I got from his first few posts is gone. He's skating.

Speedchuck was outright protecting nova D1. They are teammates

Interactive ISO when we didn't even have a flip between speed and nova. Doesn't come across as a typical exploratory ISO for teammate compatibility.
