bad, but with two scum teams. So, appropriate.
i can't compare her to that game because she's barely made any posts here. also, it's not as recent as her baddie performances in Mountain and MK. MK had 2 3ps too, so it could have been a sincere hunt for the second team.

No, but I would like to lynch a bad-dunya on day one without giving her a chance. I don’t tend to regret my decisions, right or wrong. I’m not swayed by the emotive. If I decide not to vote for you it’s because someone else looks worse to me than you do, not because of the suckiness of removing a helpful townie.

The biggest thing I look at when reading Eloh is arrogance. Confidence I have no problem with, but an arrogant Eloh is bad.

Golden, you won't regret it but i'll just feel bad cos i think it's a civ's duty to do their best to not get lynched. i can't defend myself from your accusations where you're calling me bad because i'm controlling the narrative (this is how i hunt scum: see Mountain Mafia, Mortal Kombat or vocaroo), and i can't defend myself for your accusation of me "projecting".

so i'll say observe me playing as a whole and not just what i've posted directed towards you and see how you feel.

The idea of voting for kenway for not being engaged or kites for wanting to die are very basic moves something that i could see mafia trying to do day 1 to avoid suspicion and have an easily justifiable vote.
My feelings about voting out people who have been completely inactive are well documented. A total non participant (not to be confused with a low poster or low/sporadic participant) who is civilian is one less vote the civilians have going for them. The mafia won't kill them (at least most won't) and the longer we let them go on being a wasted vote the worse it is. So yes, on Day 1, if I don't feel like I have a clear suspicion of someone, I will definitely vote for an inactive player.

I do not agree with lynching Kenway. he's not on the syndicate often, only when he's playing a game, and I hope maybe MacDougall can reach out to him on RYM. Kenway is a great addition to a town game, and someone I can read well (think Glorf), so I really hope he has a chance to realize this game started early before he's lynched.

Hate the cop check argument, you could have a role that checks green regardless/teammates role or any amount of other night actions could mess with the cops ability.

I'm curious though there doesn't seem to be a movement to lynch you and you've only got one vote, why are you dealing in this type of what if scenario?
first of all: i have 2 votes on me. second of all: maybe you haven't read the thread to get a feel of the "dunya vs golden vs jay" argument. third of all: is your name golden? :meany: this discussion is only meant for golden, k? me and him have a thing going on. i'm going to get to the bottom of it if it's the last thing i do.
I may be golden you don't know my role card ;)

Also i have it strikes me as more high poster dick slinging nothing more. Also i feel with all discussion if people have thoughts they should weight in regardless if the people involved want them to.
that's gross and sexist; I don't have a dick.

Also, you are saying you can't see at all why it concerns me that kites requested a NK?? First off, most civ roles that need to die, need to do so during a lynch, not a NK. Second of all, if you are civ how does it benefit you to tell the mafia that they will be making your role more powerful by killing you? It concerns me because this could be a way of both protecting oneself from a kill from the other team and any civ vigs, as well as giving you a reason to explain why you haven't been NKed by your own team. yeah I find it weird. If he (right? I have not played with kites much  ) wanted to get killed, it seems like the least civ minded way to do it imo.

i think spacedaisy is scum and here's why: she's defending every post she makes with really wordy and thought-out explanations. it just feels like someone trying to justify every move and show people why she is doing what she's doing and why she's civ, like she has to. i do that sometimes when i'm scum (justifying my actions before i have to or immediately when someone asks me something about it). i don't do it as a civ because my thoughts don't need justification.
 Because I am wordy discussing my opinions I'm scum? I have not once defended myself being civ except for laughing at the post regarding a wording I used. Every other post has been my opinions and discussions of them or else light hearted banter. I call bullshit. I haven't been justifying every move or word I say.

True very true, i like these last two posts by you. And i do see the civ approach to your logic but it could also be an easy strategy for mafia members to adopt.

Personally i do agree it's odd, But i also can't see mafia asking to ve killed. I'd assume 3p.

read my post again: i didn't say you defended yourself being civ, i said your posts are so wordy and thought-out, it feels like someone trying to explain how she came to that conclusion as a civ. i feel like you're taking into account how to cover all angles without throwing ideas out there and being more spontaneous. just a trigger feeling i get.

dunya don't try to bullshit semantics with me, that is what you were saying. You can couch it as if you were just saying I'm defending my posts, but you went right on to say that I was doing it like I had to have thought out reasons to defend what I was saying like I was trying show why I was civ. Same ducking thing and still bullsuit. Anyone can look at my ISO and see there isn't truth to it.

bad, but with two scum teams. So, appropriate.
i can't compare her to that game because she's barely made any posts here. also, it's not as recent as her baddie performances in Mountain and MK. MK had 2 3ps too, so it could have been a sincere hunt for the second team.
The biggest thing I look at when reading Eloh is arrogance. Confidence I have no problem with, but an arrogant Eloh is bad.
do you think Eloh was arrogant in either MK or Mountain? I didn't see it...
No, ASOUE again.
I'm not sure what you're getting at. you just said an arrogant eloh is bad, but she wasn't arrogant in Mountain or MK and she was bad there. so sometimes a non-arrogant Eloh is also bad?

has eloh shown you any signs of confidence or arrogance so far here?
I don't care about Mountain or MK Eloh in this conversation. I'm just pointing out an experience I've had with her. (and at this point I'm sure that I'm gonna get kicked in the shins for being insulting, so I apologise for putting it this way, Eloh).

She's shown confidence here. I pulled that post already.

my iso of spacedaisy game related posts only and not the joke-posts:

the green implies the first part of the thought, and the red will imply the part where i feel an added justification is at place.
Spacedaisy wrote: Fri May 18, 2018 8:00 pm I am troubled by kites asking to be NKed. If Kites were civ, this seems less likely to be a civ power. Most civs who need to die are a village idiot type role where they need to get lynched to activate some ability or win con or whatever.

If I were civ, I would town it up if I were Kites and try to draw the baddie kill that way, instead of asking for it. Asking for it makes the baddies less likely to kill them, because why make a civ (or even a possible opposing mafia team member) more powerful?

@Kites can you tell me why you went about it this way please?

colonialbob wrote: Fri May 18, 2018 10:41 pm Guys I think dunya is smarter than that?

The TMI case is better than this one (and it's... okish)
Thus the reason I'm not actually considering voting her at this point. I feel like she would play better than that, but it really threw me reading it. My response to Golden is more about the fact once again we think alike.

Linki: Apparently I have more reservations about dunya though, which isn't surprising the way Golden and dunya have gone at each other.
what more reservations do you have about me? you haven't shared them beyond the nip slip :p

when i try to "town it up" jack rips off my left testicle.
Look as dunya was talking about Golden and Jay and assigning purpose and emotions to their posts, I was thinking, I don't play that way as mafia. I doubt many of us actually do. When I am mafia, I play to emulate my town meta as much as possible. If I see something suspect, I won't ignore it. I killed it in Lost Again: Season 2, and in that game Sorsha's early play was super baddie looking imo, and I coudln't ignore it. I was one of the few that called her on it early. Not because I was trying to bus a teammate but because, when my gut says something about someone's play I say what I'm thinking. It's what killed me in Fiddler, I came in hard playing my gut, without realizing the team I came onto set Jay up to look bad. I wasnt even told until late in the day. So here I was playing like my town self and it got me killed later. I don't phrase things with the purpose of framing someone's intent in a certain light, or with a certain emotion attached or to get a certain emotional response. So when I say town tit up, I mean that I would post like crazy and scum hunt hard for better or worse. Call out shit that I see. That is how I play, regardless of alignment. And I would turn that up a notch even if I was looking to get NKed to activate a power on N1. I would be shaking every tree I could think of and generating as much discussion as I could. Maybe it is a light switch, I don't know. I feel like I rarely get lynched as a abddie for any real baddie tell, usually it's something people interpret badly that I would have said either as a civ or as a baddie. Or else it's PoE.
this post was all a pretty big defence...

I'm curious though, since you mentioned it: do you think I am assigning purpose and emotions to Golden's posts?

also, I don't see the case of Jay agreeing with Golden that I am assigning emotions to Golden's posts. Where was that? Jay suspected me of having TMI when I dismissed Golden's theory of Mac would possibly self-assign characters chosen in alignments that make most sense for them to be in because I have some BTSC with my scummates and I knew that was bullshit because one or more of them have obviously "good" roles, so I was able to come in with my knowledge and debunk his theory.

my question is: why would I have done that? wouldn't I prefer people to theorize and believe that townie town roles are very very good good, since my scummates have those roles if i were scum and that scenario actually existed?
Spacedaisy wrote: Sat May 19, 2018 5:24 am
sig wrote: Sat May 19, 2018 3:41 am Daidy looks pretty good except for the one post where she's talking about who to vote for.

So yes, on Day 1, if I don't feel like I have a clear suspicion of someone, I will definitely vote for an inactive player.
it's day 1 of a game that was supposed to start in a couple of weeks. Kenway isn't someone who logs into the syndicate regularly. do you think given the circumstances, he should be allowed an extra day as a courtesy to know that the game has started early?
Spacedaisy wrote: Sat May 19, 2018 5:28 am Also, you are saying you can't see at all why it concerns me that kites requested a NK?? First off, most civ roles that need to die, need to do so during a lynch, not a NK. Second of all, if you are civ how does it benefit you to tell the mafia that they will be making your role more powerful by killing you? It concerns me because this could be a way of both protecting oneself from a kill from the other team and any civ vigs, as well as giving you a reason to explain why you haven't been NKed by your own team. yeah I find it weird. If he (right? I have not played with kites much  ) wanted to get killed, it seems like the least civ minded way to do it imo.
first of all: this isn't a typical game and mac came up with the roles spontaneously based on characters we submitted. have you ever seen a guy looking for a lost boob who gains unlynchable status after he finds it? :p

second of all: it's genius. the mafia won't target him. maybe he wants a civ to target him for a reason, like i mentioned earlier. if he's targeted by mafia he won't learn their identities for example, but being targeted by a civ vig gives him mason status with that person.
Kites wrote: Sat May 19, 2018 12:45 am and yeah i gain sort of an ability, it’s not a win con cos im a civ. It doesn’t harm my attacker either because i would keep this whole thing a secret then
in fact, reading what he posted, I'm almost sure of it. if I had a vig shot, I would have hit him.

the last time i super town read JJJ as a civ, he was 3p in MK. woe is me. i put GTH next to some people's names where I hesitated before I put them in a category, but went with guy over content and will look into those most. admittedly, I'm feeling better about Quin and how he didn't OMGUS me, so basically that just makes me feel wary too. in MK, he had a wholly different reaction to me suspecting him when we were both civs.

but here's my fake rainbow everyone! bask in it.
