Woah. Um. Let me rescind my v read on Nook.

Spicy take: this is w/w. Or maybe it's w/v with Nook as the wolf and trying to protect one of the wagons. Like something about the wording of this pings me.
spicier take: you are a wolf with kza and are chainsawing nanook rn

like this honestly kinda looks like bs to me. there’s no way you actually have a tr on kza rn or that nanook saying that kza is scum should make you flip your read on nanook

i also don’t believe you actually think nanook trying to get a wagon on kza is w/w

i think this post is fake as hell and if kza flips wolf i’m going for you next :p
Master Radishes wrote: Wed Jul 22, 2020 6:20 pm Oh but yuck, Hally's vote on KZA.
and this is you trying to delegitimize the wagon on your teammate by saying that big bad hally is on it. nah :p
Master Radishes wrote: Wed Jul 22, 2020 6:22 pm Like LC's was wagony, but Hally's was bured in a wall post and lacked conviction.

Nook/KZA
or
Nook/Hally
are possibilities here.
again, i call bs. nanook/me is clearly not a thing. nanook/kza is clearly not a thing

this is a very bad string of posts
All I see is continued omgus. You're not even trying to evaluate me. You haven't at all this game.

Never said I TRed Kaz. But he's LHF and it's very convenient Nook started up that wagon at this time of Day after doing fuck all this game.
how does your thought process make sense?

you didn’t have a read kza

you town read nanook

you see nanook say that kza is scum and asking people to wagon him

so you immediately jump to either
1) nanook is a wolf who is trying to yeet town!kza (even though you tr nanook and not kza)
or
2) nanook is teammates with kza (even though you tr nanook and it makes no sense to bus kza here)

why is nanook suddenly a wolf for sussing kza? why do you assume kza is town in this first world? and in the w/w world, why would he be bussing kza rn? how does any of this make sense?
It's HOW he did it. It came out of nowhere and he was performative about it. Too confident, even.

I don't get why you think this thought process is a bad one. Am I not allowed to snap change my read on someone?
of course you’re allowed. i just don’t think that it makes any sense in this situation. nanook is always overly confident and performative in everything he says. theres no reason why him saying kza is >rand wolf should make you rescind your tr on nanook and immediately try to associate them together
Alison wrote: Wed Jul 22, 2020 6:52 pm Hally, in Jack Attack you espoused the notion that pre-flip assiciatives are scummy. Why are they a part of your solving process now? And why do you find it wrong that I object to them?
i never said that, as a whole, doing pre flip associatives is scummy. i said the specific pre-flip associatives you were doing in jack attack were scummy. you were pushing the narrative that lc/jay were w/w based on interactions i thought clearly dissociated them. and you were saying fg and i were wolfy because of my interactions with her even though we were both town and you were reading us both incorrectly. your associatives in jack attack felt wolfy to me because they were based on nothing imo. likewise radishes’ associatives around kza and nanook feel wolfy because i believe they're based on nothing. i don’t think my associatives are based on nothing. you don’t agree. thats fine. it doesn’t make me a wolf just like it didn’t make you a wolf in jack attack

But I’m tired too so I won’t stay long.

No one sheeping my Tim read huh. Like 10 people were in the thread after my vote and it got completely ignored. I’m pretty sure there are implications to that which may change my read on Tim but I’m too sleepy to figure them out now.
I just read it and thought it was a good thought. I have similar concerns with Tim, where it's like he's trying to pull the strings from the shadows. Or out in the open.

I'm feeling less and less inclined to elim Hally as EoD approaches. Maybe it's actually seeing her interact in real time that's helping. But I'm still waffling hard between you and her. Of course, Kaz is the likely vote anyways, but for the sake of keeping things interesting I'm not joining that now.

Nanook asking to be sheeped is kinda odd, but also seems like a Nanook thing to do.

Hally's vote... yeah, that felt uncomfortable.
"I agree with everything you're saying but am voting you anyway."

Yeah that's a pro-town mindset. Either you're confbiased to oblivion about me or you're a wolf on a plinko board. I'm not going to waste time now thinking about the latter so maybe you just need to flip me.
I can read you wolf and agree with you independently. Sheesh. It's not like wolves are saying completely false things 100% of the time anyway.

This is so unnecessarily salty given where I'm really at right now. I feel like if you were town and thought I was town you'd be actually trying to work with me. Right now, you're kind of off on your own and this is why I'm so suspicious. I know when you're town and it's early your primary focus is on making your towncore, or your trusted players, and working with them. That isn't evident so far.
I'm on my own because my towncore isn't playing with me. You refuse to trust me and the others I TR are never around when I am. Every time I try to contribute I get called a wolf or ignored. So yeah, I'm playing on my own.

As for saltiness that wasn't my intention, but it's nearly midnight here and I'm tired and so maybe I'm coming across more abrupt than usual.
That's not entirely true. I've discussed most of your recent points and expressed where I agree or disagree. I've been giving you the time of day all game. At least up until recently. There are only two votes on you (sneaky rabbit just switched) and you're not even under that much general suspicion tbh.
Master Radishes wrote: Wed Jul 22, 2020 6:47 pm I'm quite happy to yeet Scirrusally into the sun still.

@Benson you say you think there's a wolf between us two, right? Do you want to join my in chopping her then?
We'll see. It's honestly hard to ignore Kaz.

Hally wrote: Wed Jul 22, 2020 6:47 pm how does your thought process make sense?

Now this feels overly nitpicky and unrepresentative at MR's rationale.

It is also reasonable to think a wolf (wolves) may be bussing Kaz because of his thread status.
nah, nanook is not gonna try to get a wagon in kza if he’s wolfing with kza. nobody was paying attention to kza. kza was not under any heat. nanook has absolutely no reason to offer his teammate up in this situation. i think it’s silly to think he would do that. he’s not that kind of player imo

Hally I mean Kaz was definitely under *some* heat. I took my vote off of him earlier because he hadn't been around in so long, but as soon as he came I (and others) were inevitably going to pressure there. Especially after two full days of blatant lurking. I see your point about Nanook not being like that so I won't push that further for now.

The thread is significantly less fun without tutuu and rabbit. I think I''ll break until the last hour. All the re-reads and big analyses I wanted to do are probably not going to happen because I've been neglecting other shit that needs getting done. And I guess we can do stuff during the night phase anyways.

MR, I don't know what to say. I thought you'd still want to work with my despite my qualms.
The AtE won't change my mind. I really really want to believe that there's precisely one wolf between you and Hally. I just have to figure out which. If not, then I've been really fucking off.

If the meta to push exists to discourage this slanking behaviour, I am all for this push. If it's just a pure push for being scummy, I like it less. I want there to be more posts townread as scummy before pushing as scum.

Would you lean town or does it mean a neutral read?
How do I read KZA? Scummy gth, but there's almost nothing there read them on, which is why I prefer a vote elsewhere.

My post above got mauled by auto correct and my own laziness. It should say " I want there to be more posts to read, in order to make any read at all with any degree of confidence, before I make an option that they are scum".

If you think KZA >rand scum radishes also >rand scum for their reaction yeah? Idk how radishes specifically normally reacts to a partner being pushed but that was broadly a pretty scummy reaction.

i mean, okay? this is irrelevant to the point i’m making wrt to radishes though

i’m saying that for radishes specifically, given his stated reads of nanook town and kza null/scum, there’s no reason he should see nanooks post saying to vote kza and immediately jump to, as his first thought, nanook is a wolf who is either bussing w!kza or trying to kill v!kza. that conclusion doesn’t organically flow from radishes stated reads on those two slots. flip flopping his reads based just off that one nanook post feels fake and agenda-y

do you disagree with that?
Benson wrote: Wed Jul 22, 2020 7:20 pm Interesting wagons tbh

[VOTE: Hally ] aubergine
i don’t want you to take this the wrong way because you seem very nice and like a very good player, but if i’m being honest i don’t feel you’ve actually tried to evaluate me once since i’ve been in this game. you seem to have decided that you should actively be trying to find something wrong with everything i say or do because “what if i’m a wolf whos trying to fool you.” you think that, in the world where i’m a wolf, it would be bad for you to let me get away so as a result you aren’t truly listening to anything i say or trying to read me in good faith. but what you fail to adequately consider is that, in the world we actually live in, i’m a villager. and in this world, the real world, your insistence on actively looking for reasons to hold on to your wolf read of my slot is pretty poor play and kind of irritating to deal with

again, i don’t believe you’re scum or that you’re a bad player or that you’re doing this with any mal intent whatsoever. i’m only speaking about how it appears to me as the subject of your push. you can choose whether you care about my perspective on this or not

On the other hand, there is KZA which just seems like an easy push for low postcount, and I dont HATE it, BUT some of my higher scum equity players are voting on this so that makes me dislike it as well.

I guess I vote for KZA here, but in principle I dont like how a wagon formed on KZA. It just seems like easy ML pushed by mafia.

Voting under protest

[VOTE: KZA] aubergine
I agree with everything in this post.

I will also likely vote Kza.

I am taking some comfort in the fact that he is playing a whole lot like "I randed wolf and I don't want to play but I want to help my team" buss bait. His entire lurkey, just in case you don't know I'm lurking here's a post..." schtick just screams not town. To not kill that condemns day two.

But I want it to be crystal clear that this is a buss wagon. Kza didn't play that way all day without his team knowing he would be chopped early and being ready to buss. They have been planning on it just as long as Kza has. Banking on it. Playing free and easy almost TWTBAW knowing the big busload of town cred was in their future.

I think Nanook is far too good a player to believe that "look I have finally delivered my scum read, it's the lowest hanging fruit" merited that drama level AT ALL. I think Kza is likely to flip wolf here, but when Nanook tries to pass that off as him "forcing out Radishes partner" I don't know if I will vote him first or vomit. The idea that Radishes response to "partner Kza, lowest of low hanging fruit, gets wagoned" would be some sort of revelation is absurd.

i mean, okay? this is irrelevant to the point i’m making wrt to radishes though

i’m saying that for radishes specifically, given his stated reads of nanook town and kza null/scum, there’s no reason he should see nanooks post saying to vote kza and immediately jump to, as his first thought, nanook is a wolf who is either bussing w!kza or trying to kill v!kza. that conclusion doesn’t organically flow from radishes stated reads on those two slots. flip flopping his reads based just off that one nanook post feels fake and agenda-y

do you disagree with that?

i don’t want you to take this the wrong way because you seem very nice and like a very good player, but if i’m being honest i don’t feel you’ve actually tried to evaluate me once since i’ve been in this game. you seem to have decided that you should actively be trying to find something wrong with everything i say or do because “what if i’m a wolf whos trying to fool you.” you think that, in the world where i’m a wolf, it would be bad for you to let me get away so as a result you aren’t truly listening to anything i say or trying to read me in good faith. but what you fail to adequately consider is that, in the world we actually live in, i’m a villager. and in this world, the real world, your insistence on actively looking for reasons to hold on to your wolf read of my slot is pretty poor play and kind of irritating to deal with

again, i don’t believe you’re scum or that you’re a bad player or that you’re doing this with any mal intent whatsoever. i’m only speaking about how it appears to me as the subject of your push. you can choose whether you care about my perspective on this or not

1) I honestly see MR's hot take on Nanook as a genuine thought that a villager could have. Why is it so wolfy for a player to make reads that are inconsistent with their reads? Especially when we're talking about tenuous D1 reads. I do that all the time. I guess an agenda could be there still; I won't argue that.

2) Certain things I'm doing on the surface don't explain where my psyche is actually at. I'm trying very hard to evaluate you fairly; trust me on that. I am reading what you say and considering it as if you were town, even if it doesn't look like it. Your perspective does matter.

That said, I'm slightly pinged that you're pleading to me as if I'm certainly town.
But maybe I really am just that towny this game. lol

i still find nanook towny overall but could be pocketed (im saying that a lot this game, i have the same feeling with hally sometimes, but have generally had nanook as townier than hally in their interactions yesterday)

though i did find radishes' thought about the nanook/kza w/w world weird and pingy, it might be twtbaw idk.

but yeah idk i had a similar reaction to nutella and hally in the moment there. kind of almost want to cfd radishes at times.

The votes are really still 6-6? It feels like the Kaz wagon has way more support.

Tim, I agree that it's likely a bussed wagon if Kaz is howling. And I can't explain why he'd play this way as town. Idk why this happens if he's a wolf but I can find some reasons at least.

Yes I think Nanook is bussing Kza. Yes I think that has been the plan for a substantial part of the day.

I think Radishes read that absolutely correctly and that Nanook acting like Radishes response is somehow wolfy is ridiculous. That doesn't mean I am clearing Radishes particularly, but I think it looks absolutely terrible on Nanook.

On the surface, the last few proto posts feel super wolfy. But I think they're still probably town. Like, I don't think he goes "this is trending towards a mislynch. Voting here out of protest". Idk. Someone with proto meta talk to me about this.

^^Fair enough, Hally.

Benson wrote: Wed Jul 22, 2020 7:18 pm @Hally I mean Kaz was definitely under *some* heat. I took my vote off of him earlier because he hadn't been around in so long, but as soon as he came I (and others) were inevitably going to pressure there. Especially after two full days of blatant lurking. I see your point about Nanook not being like that so I won't push that further for now.
i mean, okay? this is irrelevant to the point i’m making wrt to radishes though

i’m saying that for radishes specifically, given his stated reads of nanook town and kza null/scum, there’s no reason he should see nanooks post saying to vote kza and immediately jump to, as his first thought, nanook is a wolf who is either bussing w!kza or trying to kill v!kza. that conclusion doesn’t organically flow from radishes stated reads on those two slots. flip flopping his reads based just off that one nanook post feels fake and agenda-y

do you disagree with that?

i don’t want you to take this the wrong way because you seem very nice and like a very good player, but if i’m being honest i don’t feel you’ve actually tried to evaluate me once since i’ve been in this game. you seem to have decided that you should actively be trying to find something wrong with everything i say or do because “what if i’m a wolf whos trying to fool you.” you think that, in the world where i’m a wolf, it would be bad for you to let me get away so as a result you aren’t truly listening to anything i say or trying to read me in good faith. but what you fail to adequately consider is that, in the world we actually live in, i’m a villager. and in this world, the real world, your insistence on actively looking for reasons to hold on to your wolf read of my slot is pretty poor play and kind of irritating to deal with

again, i don’t believe you’re scum or that you’re a bad player or that you’re doing this with any mal intent whatsoever. i’m only speaking about how it appears to me as the subject of your push. you can choose whether you care about my perspective on this or not

But maybe I really am just that towny this game. lol
FWIW, yeah, you are pretty much.

@Hally I understand what you are saying about "Radishes' hot take," but you should know that I had the exact same reaction. I've been sussing Nanook right along and had basically no opinion on Kza, and I'm not gonna say agreeing with Radishes makes him town here...but locked to the letter his read there makes sense.
yeah but it makes sense to you because you were wolf reading nanook. radishes was town reading nanook. so from his pov i don’t think it should make sense to have that reaction. from your pov it’s fine because it’s consistent with your stated read on nanook. for you it flows, for radishes it didn’t
If anything, I expect the wolves to have more consistent progression. Or to always be doing things that align to their stated reads. Villagers are just irrationally erratic a lot of the time with their thoughts.

honestly proto's presence in general doesnt feel as forceful as what little i saw in space invaders...

linki: i think tim is town believing what he's writing though, and not w/w powerwolf with protocultures if protocultures w (and i might just be wrong in the first place)
What do you think of Nanook and the grand drama Kza read?
why are you characterizing it as a grand drama? i don’t find how nanook states his read to be dramatic at all. its just nanook being nanook

to clarify, do you think nanook is bussing kza? and do you think radishes could be aligned with kza? it wasn’t clear to me from your post just now
Yes I think Nanook is bussing Kza. Yes I think that has been the plan for a substantial part of the day.

I think Radishes read that absolutely correctly and that Nanook acting like Radishes response is somehow wolfy is ridiculous. That doesn't mean I am clearing Radishes particularly, but I think it looks absolutely terrible on Nanook.
okay. i think the chances nanook is actually bussing kza here are extremely low. i think any combination is possible except w/w

nanook simply doesn’t strike me as the kind of player to kill his teammates for no reason. maybe i’m wrong about that, idk. but i see no reason to assume it’s a bus at all
