MovingPictures07 grimaced as the psychopath in front of him flipped the coin. His young life flashed before his eyes as the coin flipped end over end as if in slow motion. In his mind, he tried to account for every scenario and probability based on the circumstances.

Which side was the coin on when it was flipped? What's the angular rotation of the coin? Is there a cross breeze and what direction is it coming from?

The coin was all but in the grinning man's hand when he blurted out "TAILS!"

The Fatal 5 sat in the alley, bewildered. Everything was planned so perfectly, so who had this gone wrong?

A noise down the alley shattered his focus and brought him back to reality. Had someone seen him in the act? He couldn't stay out in the open. It was too dangerous.

Juliets was asleep in her bed when the sound of glass shattering woke her. It was the kitchen window. She heard glass crunching under feet. The intruder didn't seem to care about being quiet.

Juliets locked her bedroom door and tried to move her dresser in front of it. It was too heavy.

She heard the intruder's plodding footsteps rising her staircase and something else clunking along with him. The floorboards out side her bedroom creaked, as if to warn her of her impending doom. Then, silence.

Juliets stood shaking silently for several minutes. After what felt like an eternity to her, she approached the door, trying to get a better listen to her hallway.

Closer she crept. Closer. Closer.

At last, when she was three feet from the door, she heard the floorboards creak again. Then her door shattered from the blow of an axe. You can imagine the rest. It wasn't pretty.
