Ricochet sat in the Cradle of Ia, marveling at its acoustic qualities. Every sound was crystal clear, including the footsteps approaching from the jungle outside behind him. A smile formed on his face.

"I was beginning to think no one had the guts to take the risk," he said as his assailant crept into the cavern.

"So you've been expecting me," the Evil Even replied, no unconcerned with keeping quiet.

"Yes," Ricochet said. "And no. I've enjoyed my time as an untouchable but I will enjoy your upcoming struggle all the more, I think."

"Oh really," the Even said as he examined a glorious sword sitting almost as if on display upon the dais. "Well I hate to disappoint you."

"How could you possibly disappoint me? You either chicken out and I live on or you kill me and suffer the consequences."

"See that's just it," the Even said, approaching Ricochet. "I'm not worried about suffering consequences."

"And why is that?" Ricochet asked.

The Evil Even grabbed Richochet by the throat and pulled him in close, the sword cutting through his abdomen with ease. Ricochet's eyes widened with the pain and coldness of the blade.

"Because I make my own luck."

"I've been expecting you," Jack called out.
