I always thought the point of a vig is to kill baddies, not sort out possible town. We've had two baddies vigged this game; this is like an extra chop round. I know this makes me look hopelessly old fashioned and I don't care

And I am gonna put in my vote for @Dyslexicon to vig Marmot.

They are the person I most find bad, they keep wiggling their way out of it. I think being a fruit vendor is a good, innocuous role to hide behind. I think their interactions with Sabi were super sketch, and I think they slipped up when comparing Neons game here to her bad game in Holes, which led me to compare Marmot here to Holes, and yeah, not the same Marmot.

Is this a soft protect against HK?

@MacDougall - iirc it was because Alison was posting all big-and-tough but lacked a lot of substance to her messages. mostly she seems to be carrying a sort of bravado congruous with a possible wolf roll. i only read a few posts though; i have little access to comps right now. someone smashed the ones present on my psych ward. sucks.

There's vote with backing on Alison early on, which is good. It didn't stick, so that's not so good. To be fair, she voted off at EoD to a main wagon, when Alison wasn't an option. And it's not like he needed to do that as mafia. So point still stands that bringing negative attention to Alison early on is probably good.

Kind of gut read this as just town, but I'm also weak to posts like these.

There's so little content here. I feel like 112 could easily go both ways. I don't think the MR wifom about giving 112 more time to play is very meaningful at all. Overall tone is hard to read. It's like not wolfy, but they could probably still be wolf. Clearly they don't have much time to play and doesn't care a lot.

The thing that sticks the most out is the Alison interaction, which I lean more good on and bad. But truly no idea.

I'd guess that Creature accepted the "PR" cover, although in hindsight he wasn't a PR.

This post. I read it as towny, especially considering it's the beginning of the game. It shouldn't be that way, but I think it's easier for town to get to the point of fuck off. Realistically, it's probably something that shouldn't be read into.

Yes I saw that, but I didn't know what his role was, and I didn't trust what Scotty was saying in that moment.

I had paranoid thoughts that Mac could blow up his entire wagon or do something more sinister. I know that w!Mac doesn't go deep into games do to other players' perception of his meta, and that was something I expected would happen.

Things from my chat with Alison that I don’t think are present in the thread (a chunk of it is stuff that’s in the thread)

1) I asked her to explain why people were TRing Urist and she deferred on the basis that she can’t read Urist well as any alignment and I shouldn’t trust her TR.

2) she was theorising that ‘mafia should have more kills given a game of this size’. Lol at that now they might have been outed as having three. There’s a lol moment in here where I told her that I suspected thr Seanzie illario kill could be sus in part because it landed without any real fuss. Guess that didn’t last lol.

3) Mac has a PoE of 6. Alison talks about the fact that she’s trusting mac on taking Sean out, but she doesn’t really see it. She is happy for the other 5 in the PoE to die. It turns out the 5 are 6… 112, svs, hk, mr, dizzy, marmot. I’m not sure how dizzy gets in there, we’re they actually part of the PoE discussion?

4) Alison town-defends sig, out of the blue without my prompting

5) upon learning the name of my role, Alison thought that it makes could be alignment-indicative then maybe that’s indicating soup mafia do have a soup role.

6) we have multiple combos about guillo amd creature in which Alison is a stringent defender of both.

7) Alison actively steered me away from neighbouring scotty

That's curious...it would be a superb way to distance a teammate, and also get a smidge of town cred if Urist did flip red. It's also a neat way to sew doubt in your mind over his alignment if he's town

Scotty shouldn’t be in the PoE I’m not sure why it’s so hard to pull him out.

I mean, define that though. Because sometimes townies just don’t find themselves correct… we all have games where our reads are balls or they’re not but people don’t listen.

But associative reads with Alison are a good look, tone is a good look, actions are for me primarily a good look although I can see the debate there. And unlike many others, he just literally never has anyone but me trying to give him a pass.

Him having no one in his court is a good point.

I have noticed that, despite your point that no one is defending him, building a wagon on him has never seemed that viable. This could be that he's generally mid-POE for most players and has never existed as a primary suspect.

I remember really not liking Marmot's EoD 2. I have just played a game with Marmot where they were mafia and they succeeded their expectations for me for D1, but they had some really awkward EoDs and eventually dropped off. Them dropping off on D2 was a big red flag for me. But they actually have kept up their posting better this day.

I've been considering the world where all of the wagons at EoD 2 are mafia. So Sean, Marmot and Rondo all mafia. Today that doesn't feel exactly right though, as Marmot was still pushing for Rondo at first.

This was more of a mixed bag than I expected it to be. There's some good interactions with Sean, I think. But some bad interactions with Sabi. How Marmot has given me a pass at first, not really tried to solve me imo, and now gradually sliding me into PoE is what bothers me the most. It actually bothers me a great deal. I went into the ISO thinking Marmot is mafia, but now I'm not sure at all. But my GTH read would still be mafia actually.

Essentially Guillo freaked out and hard counterclaimed me for having his role. When he realised that there were two flipped town with the same role he immediately dropped it and pretended that he was testing me lol. I believe he wasn't testing me, and that he really does have my role. Especially because my/our role is very similar to the role that Cape and Pyxxy both had, in both name (it's a nationality of townie much like theirs is kiwi] and it's function being that 2 or more people need to vote me for me to activate a vigilante shot. I can also tell you that because of my role I can see a joke in the Pyxxy and Cape roles that you guys probably can't see lol.
