Wedding mafia - sign-ups

#1

Post by Golden »

This Saturday, we are going to have a very special event. As I'm sure many of you are aware, it is the day on which our esteemed sock and the lovely daisy get married. What better occasion could there be for a game of WEDDING MAFIA! This will take place during MP and daisy's wedding, from the approximate hour of 1.30PM New Zealand time (or 9.30PM Eastern time).

The set up of this game is as follows:

The guests are arriving at Alex and Annie's wedding. But as anyone who has planned their own wedding knows, there are always the guests you wish you just didn't have to invite. Well, it's their last chance, and the happy couple are going to take it! Time to make some last minute changes and strike some people from the guest list... by way of murder!
13 players. Closed set up. All roles and role cards will be revealed upon death (both lynch and nightkill).
Days will last 20 minutes, nights will last 10 minutes.

This thread is to sign up for STAND BY to play in this game. Our hope is that the game will be a great opportunity for wedding guests not familiar to mafia and to our site to play the game along with some people from the site who aren't guests at the wedding. Overall, we are hoping for a balance between players from the wedding and players from the site.

So, please sign up here if:

1) You can commit to being awake and present for about 3-4 hours at the time above.
2) You are not a guest at the wedding (those of you regulars who are going to the wedding can also sign up, but just note you are going to be a guest there).
3) You won't be too disappointed if someone who is actually at the wedding steals your spot.

I have some fun things planned for this, so sign up!

Also, I don't know how things run over there, but if I were to be at my own wedding and suddenly announce "hey who wants to play on the Internet for four hours", I'd probably get sliced up by my parents, my newly wed wife and her parents altogether.

LOL, this sounds like a freaking great idea and a fun game! Sadly, I think it's 3:30 am for me. I can't do it, not even for MP and SD, though I contemplated it...I swear. But I have to be up early in the morning :(

But have fun all of you, both at the wedding and in the game :D :hugs:

I've thought about it and the game will probably take place too late for me to stay up. I barely managed to stay awake past midnight the past week, because of the RL work I've done. Have fun, everybody! I sent my intrinsic field subtractor as a wedding present, in case you need to dispose of actual bodies quickly.

There is a large group here definitely. I believe the list includes: MovingPictures07, Spacedaisy, Metalmarsh89, thellama73, Mongoose, Elohcin, Epignosis, Simon, nijuukyugou, Bullzeye, birdwithteeth11, Devin the Omniscient, Russtifinko, and possibly more whose names escape me.

Really?

Also, you forgot Boomslang, Leamiteo, Captain Bunny Killer, and Tink, the life of the party. :workit:

Hershey is fine and all but the amusement park is a bit pricey (not as bad some major amusement parks but you gotta make a day out of it to get your money's worth). If you're ever up this way, definitely check out the Chocolate World ride. It's free and shows you how they make the chocolate (sadly , they don't do real factory tours anymore). Another great family spot in these parts is Knoebels Amusement Resort. Free admission and free parking. You can buy wristbands or tickets to pay for the rides you want to ride. Lots of good rides for the little kids and several roller coasters for us big kids.

I tried a Hershey once and didn't like it. Maybe the bad ones are sent over here. :(

American chocolate a la Hershey is uniquely inferior to chocolate like, say, Cadbury, or Freia uses some sort of magic to craft their batches. Hershey tastes like plastic in comparison.

Also no one here has a signal except me because Ohio is in the middle of nowhere and I am supatown.

No one means Mongoose and Metalmarsh.
