EZ Fantasy Baseball 2017

I've come up with a different way to run a competitive game while still feeling mostly like what we did last year. Here are the details:

1) Before opening day of the MLB season (aka, Sunday, April 2) either PM me or post here in the thread a ranked preference of MLB teams (1 being most desirable, 30 being least desirable). So you have it handy, here is the list of teams:

2) On opening day, I will randomize a draft order of all participants. The participant who gets the #1 draft pick gets their top choice team on their list for the first two weeks of the MLB season. No one else gets that team for the first two weeks, and that participant cannot use that team again for the rest of the season. The participant with the #2 draft pick gets their highest choice remaining (i.e., if they had the same #1 preference as the participant who picked first in the draft, they get their #2 choice instead). It goes on from there- each successive player gets the highest available team from their list. Since we're going by two-week increments to make keeping score easier on me, everyone will draft two teams per round of EZ baseball. That way we all end up using most of the teams like last year.

3) Sit back and relax for two weeks. After the first two weeks of play, I'll post the Round 1 scores and do a new draft for the next two weeks of play. There are 26 full weeks of play in the MLB season and one final Sunday. At two weeks per round, that means there will be 13 rounds of EZ Baseball plus the final closing day frenzy, where we'll each use two or three of our remaining teams and save one or two for tiebreakers.

4) Beginning with the second draft (Round 2), the participant currently in last place will draft his or her team first. The goal of this is to hopefully add some parity to the season and keep it competitive.

5) You can choose to submit new team preference lists for each draft or you can just ride out the season on your initial team preference list. It's entirely up to you. You do not have to commit to one or the other. You could ride out the first three round before getting strategic and submitting new preference lists. How involved you get into the process is entirely your choice.

Please let me know definitively if you want to play or not! If you say you will play but do not submit a preference list, one will be randomized for you.

Your initial team preference lists are due by 12:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 2nd!

Hardy har. Since you know I appreciate and strive for grammatical correctness, I never take offense when you point out my errors.

And yes, submitting your list that way is just fine. I'm probably just going to randomize a list for myself tomorrow and move a few teams around, so I can randomize the rest of your list at the same time.

Remember that whoever has the lowest score after Round 1 gets to choose. If there are any ties, whoever picked later in the first draft will get the earlier pick this time.

Alright, so I done goofed. I found a scoring error in my spreadsheet, so I went back through to see if the error altered our draft orders. It did. So I followed the correct scores through, re-did the drafts from Draft #4 onward, and came up with the true, correct scores. The only two participants impacted by these changes were myself and Epignosis. The end result gave Epi a slight boost and dropped me back a little. Here are the correct overall scores after Round 5:
