Michael Keaton, or possibly Steven Segall. I met both of them in a tiny town in Montana, they both had local homes. Segall was a jerk (he walked into a local hardware store in a purple fringed coat, he's super tall, was wearing makeup, and yelled at people for staring at him, for example). Keaton was just sloppy drunk but he hugged my husband and bought us a shot.

P.S. Segalls wife, Kelly "Don't hate me because I'm beautiful" was also horrible, she was rude and condescending to restaurant wait staff and wouldn't talk to like store clerks, she talked to her assistant and the assistant talked to you.

I had a novelty t-shirt once with an illustrated picture of a buck’s head on the front with the words: “Deer head.” On the back it said “Deer tail” and had an illustrated picture of a deer’s butt. I got that shirt into my high school year book three years out of four by wearing on student activity pictures day each year.

Last year. We used to get the local newspaper for free every Wednesday at work (it's a weekly- not much to talk about around here), but they removed the vending machines for some reason. I'd always want to see if my students made the news (for good or ill).

I don't have any one particular source for news. I use websites that pull from a variety of publishers.

Nostalgia; never letting go can get either creepy or even be harmful, especially to yourself, depending on the situation. Nostalgia maybe makes people roll their eyes, butit typically doesn't hurt anyone.

Someone, not someone you know well, has made a grammatical or spelling faux pas in an online discussion. Maybe they said, "I went two the store too times". Do you let it go, or tell them so?

Probably the orange properties on the second quarter of the board. I never seem to get any of them but I always land on them and have to pay rent, which has screwed me over several times when the second half of the board isn’t favorable to my survival.

Oops- I thought that said least favorite. My favorites are either the greens or the light blues. The greens pack a punch when collecting rent and the light blues are cheap to buy, cheap to build on, and frequently visited by my opponents.

*My* existence, for me, is my effect on the world and the people around me. With my Mom having passed, and having no kids, at times I feel untethered to existence. I have never been a person who thinks of the future very much, just the present, so feeling untethered can be disconcerting at times.

As an individual, probably. I was great at school in high school and college, where learning and whatnot came easy to me. My post-college reality hasn’t lived up to what everyone seemed to suggest my potential was. But I’m a parent now, so my individual trajectory takes a back seat so I can build my kids up to hopefully realize more of their potential than I did.

The Pierce Brosnan films were my ideal spy flicks. The Daniel Craig films aren't really spy films, he's like a cerebral action hero. Brosnan had the perfect mix of camp, comedy, romance and action. GoldenEye might be my fave. I'm too young to appreciate the older films, but I will get around to it at some point, they're probably quite good.

I don't really have any physical fear. When I was a kid, I ran into traffic, I took any dare, I jumped off roofs, I walked up to barking dogs. When I was 10 I climbed up one of those electrical towers, and when I heard my Mom screaming it startled me and I fell. I spent a large chunk of that year in a body cast with a broken collarbone and a cracked vertebra. My parents said it was a miracle I lived to 12. I taught myself to be more cautious, but it isn't something that came naturally to me.

I'll say this: I don't understand how millions of people genuinely consider that entertainment.

Perhaps it's a personal bias due to being a musician, but I don't understand how ass shaking and pretending to sing or play instruments is praiseworthy. Choreography is a different thing- I get how watching dance troupes can be satisfying. But other than that, I just don't understand it. And of course I'm not a prude, but I don't think my children knew what stripper poles were. Now they do. So thanks for that I guess.

Y'know it's been a pretty good day, thank you for asking. For the last two weeks I've either been sick or working. Today I was neither of those things, and it was sunny and not bitterly cold outside. I went to the store, I went for a jog, I did some stretching, now I'm about to read for a couple hours. All of this is close to an ideal day for me.

How was your day, next person?

I felt half asleep most of the day. Like I had a hard time waking up and maybe my sleep cycle was messed up just the right amount such that I spent the first half of my work day strongly wishing I were back in bed. :suspish: Otherwise pretty average work day.

What's the most exciting thing you have received in the mail in the last week or two?

A banana and a hard boiled egg.

When was the last sporting event you attended, and what was it?

Does my daughter’s basketball game last weekend count? If not, then maybe two years ago at a minor league hockey game.

Which film will win Best Picture this upcoming weekend?
