I’m entirely unsurprised the lynch was switched but glad it was to a good target. Vivax being Indy makes a tonne of sense in hindsight.

*Secrets*
You choose one word each Night. If a Night action word is chosen, you will steal that ability and the next night you can use it. If any other word is chosen, nothing happens. In either case, the word becomes orange on the first page. You win alone when a complete sentence of five orange words is created.

If any group is eliminated but you are still going, you flunk and hence lose.

Before anyone accuses me for not picking Jerusalem, first—so not ready for that flight during Covid. Second, it sounded like a super Christian tour, and that just isn’t the trip for me. (Although I would absolutely love an interfaith Israel/Palestine trip. And would run one if I had the right partners. Atheists welcomed, because I appreciate LC and honor his atheism.

Any old schoolers who may not have time to play mafia all the time these days should join us for a walrus or two! They are essentially a larger scale version of the Prog Archives event. Lots of fun, great way to discover new tunes, learn about everyone else's musical tastes, etc.

Vivax lynch switch from a tied poll that results in a D1 3p flip? Yep! That’s some old-school eod juju right there. Always a shame to lose 3p roles too soon, but it simplifies things for us a little bit this way.

Don‘t recall you getting heavily defended against Eloh.
Seems like an odd representation of two players TRing you
I’d argue the fact she was pressed over it for a good portion of the day and have been defending herself/accused of being mafia due to her actions surrounding me ties into me being defended. I guess you could phrase it more of them just being suspicious of her BUT, said suspicions wouldn’t have happened if she didn’t make a comment about me.

Llama is just having some old school thoughts on this. He came from the days of 1 vote no switching so that makes sense.
I understand he's not mafia for it, he's holding up a billboard that reads "I am town, please night kill".

This is plain nonsense. I’ve solved whole games based on day one voting records. It’s the most likely day for mafia to trip up, when they don’t quite know what direction the game will go or what will stick.

When the town has more info, day one will be good fodder.
I old skool gut agree with this. Golden did do that more than once back in the day. I hope it shakes out similarly.

Some of these rouge votes aren’t great especially not liking Scotty vote on Lorab given that she said she’d be less around.

I also don’t like the two votes on Eloh I definitely think she’s a civ right now and was the easiest band wagon vote
I agree with this statement 100%
Same.

sig wrote: Tue Oct 25, 2022 6:59 pm I also think Llama (?) was right you maybe have one active pushing mafia member and the rest are laying low. So the question is who’s around but laying low?

Also did we ever get an answer on DF being more or less active as mafia?
He is always quiet but i can't remeber if it is more so as mafia or not. Idk for sure, but maybe he too has been away for a few years. Like guys, the adapting to the time stuff has been rough on me. So maybe him too?

That's not a forever pass on my end, but it does buy him a bit of time. I hope to hear more during D2.

Axe is actively harmful to the town. That’s different from being mafia. I suspect a role hint exists here as well. Frustrating, makes me want to throw a vote to eliminate the chaos but my better instincts say, let’s see what happens today and re-evaluate.

I’ve gone back and forth on Vivax today and I’m back to feeling not great, but when I do feel good it’s because of solvey behaviour that I’m not keen to eliminate.

No one else has pinged me beyond a stray eye.

Yea Axe usually harms the town as town. I can’t recall his mafia game play though.

I’m also back and forth on Vivax he seems both trying to solve and also just trying to just find what will stick.
I mean, we have different definitions on what is harmful to town and I would prefer if you didn't play into a narrative that has been primarily held by people who actively berate me in game in a very problematic way.
This stuck out to me. I don't want to dwell more, but I would love to talk to you more post game about theory.

[VOTE: Bea] aubergine

I don’t suspect her much, but I don’t have a read on her yet. And I want her to come out and play more.
Regardless as to what anyone else might think of this vote, it doesn't bother me. Like I see where lorab is coming from and a random vote from her to "come out and play" feels very old skool lorab.

Speaking of old skool - for the record - last time I posted before vote close, I seriously concidered a VERY old skool D1 self vote, but didn't as I was unsure of how our newer players would read it. Just sayin.

I lost stuff there I knew I wrote. Ok from memory it was mostly lorab centric:

I am least concerned about her vote on me. It feels very on brand for old skool lorab missing a friend. Speeking of old skool, I almost thought about doing a rev style Bea self vote just in case I missed the vote when I postes off topic. Moveable votes stopped me from pulling that trigger. Take that for what you will

Also, I really wanna go on lorab's intrafaith tour of the holy land. I LOVE that everyone is included. All faiths, nonfaiths and my doubting thomas ass!

Also, kate is not old enough to have a child that hosts games either! And nutella and dom are barely 21! I SHALL DIE ON THIS HILL!

I am torn between voting Canada or Nether.

I like when life is simple. But I like canada and benevolence too.

Also, not gonna lie, the map part confuses me. I think I only played one game with an Elsie map (maybe Monopoly) and it confused the heck out of me.

I had a tonne of fun getting to know Vivax in this game. I never felt like I got a solid read and I think that’s fundamentally good Indy play. Would love to see more of you in the future if there is more of a future for me (there is in hosting, in any event).

RIP Vivax, although still better than a civ dying. I apologize for missing Day 1, I will catch up on the missed posts tonight. From what I did read I don't think Eloh's behavior was any different from how she normally used to play. I can relate because I think Eloh plays a lot like I do, not making super in-depth cases or stringent analysis.

I'll vote for Jerusalem for it's historical and religious significance.

I'm not sure if the poll choices will bring us something, but I was deciding between Jerusalem and Nether. Looked like good fortune or information. I chose good fortune, Jerusalem.
Banners are cool, but a pain to scroll through so...
I've won a lot of games. I've hosted some games. The end.
