Why did you decide to play sacrificial lamb today? I’m assuming you’re going to talk more about your GMan suspicion?

I forgot there was a chance votes could be unchangeable until the moment I submitted it. :ninja:

I have nothing to add with regards to a G-man suspicion. I liked what you were saying before the thread locked and want that conversation to stay at the forefront as we open the day.

This is llama’s final read list:
thellama73 wrote: Sat Oct 29, 2022 11:24 am Well, I have no aversion to giving reads during the night phase, and since there's a non-zero chance that I will be NKed, here's what I have to say about everybody still playing.

bea - No real reason to suspect her, but I inherently don't trust her and her cheerfulness feels a little more forced than what I'm used to. Entirely possible she is bad.

DFaraday - I will be pissed off if he is bad, because never participating and taking advantage of the town tendency not to lynch non-participants is a lame way to play.

DharmaHelper - He's either a good actor or a civilian. His response to almost being lynched yesterday felt real to me.

DrWilgy - I've been reading him as civ, but since he stopped licking people he's kind of disappeared, so I'm prepared to reevaluate.

Elohcin - I think she's good. Her day 1 posts were consistent with what I remember of her pattern of always getting suspected for things that turn out not to be baddie tells, but just the way she is.

G-Man - Again, more lucky than I like to see from him. He's on my radar.

Golden - is behaving more like a Civ than anyone else in the thread.

Kate - Genuinely angry, but that could be for a couple of reasons. I thought DH's point about her being the target of an NK was a good one, and it's possible she's mad she got caught.

thellama73 - Supatown.

Michelle - Not sure. Had her down as a civ fairly early, but it's been long enough that I need to reevaluate.

Quin - Bad, despite what Sloonei says.

Scotty - Participating like hell and being very useful. Either civilian or a very devious villain indeed.

sig - On my radar for being blend.

Sloonei - I feel good about Sloonei after the day 1 result and the nature of his contributions after that.

Vivax 2.0 - Behaving largely the same as before her substitution, which is good, and I had a town read on her predecessor.

Therefore, if I should die before I wake, look at Quin, Bea, Kate, G-Man, and Sig to be possible culprits.

I will not be very active for the rest of the night phase due to social obligations.
I have similar suspicions of Quin, GMan and possibly sig.

I like how quickly Sloonei voted GMan. I think he’s a great one to talk about today.

Here’s another [VOTE: Michelle] aubergine

It’s a great book; it changed a lot about how I think of society in general. I hope you enjoy it!

Well that there’s the question.

For one, I’ll bet mafia are getting a kick out of me suspecting you, if you’re not bad. And I’m sure before my most recent rainbow list, some of my town reads/leans might have been dogpoop

Town read? GMan. Up until his last post, I was just coasting on his adverb thing, but since then? Nah. His votes have been rather blah, and his read lists, while well formatted, have a degree of flare and verbosity that I’m not even sure he believes.

Let’s look at Wilgy- someone whose link is blue in the ISOs, meaning I have never ISO’d him this game.
DrWilgy wrote: Mon Oct 24, 2022 10:47 am Oh no.

I wasn't a spam poster back in the day.

Hmm... Young Wilgy was an odd one that I don't even know if I understand anymore.

Nonetheless,
Llama

You have been licked.
First reads. Lick = good? My dog ate a stamp today.
DrWilgy wrote: Mon Oct 24, 2022 2:08 pm Also, unrelated, but Michelle who hasn't solved yet is most likely a wolf.
ooooo a spicy call out wolf read. Can’t wait to see where that goes.

[VOTE: Sloonei] aubergine

Anyone else thinking that all the baddies are among the off wagon voters, currently ?
G-Man wrote: Tue Oct 25, 2022 5:14 pm Voting for Golden the Coward for poopooing on my attempts to sort out game mechanics to the civvies’ advantage. He’s also high post-count, which gives us lots to chew on, right or wrong. His tone is pretty level, but that (along with his posting volume) could be a ploy to place him right at radar level. He’s present, posting, and engaged. At this early stage it’s easy enough to give someone like him a pass for a few days just on those qualities alone.

[VOTE: Golden the Coward] aubergine

I have a meeting tonight that may push right up to eod. I’ll hang around up to the start of the meeting, but I can’t promise that I’ll make it back before the flip.
I don't really understand this reason to vote Golden. Rest of this post seems more to aim at expressing that Golden can do this as mafia. But G-Man comes off townie to me, at glance.
Mmmhhmmmmmmm
last post before End of day 1. An affirming moan. I don’t know what he is agreeing with- that mafia are in the offvoters or that GMan looks townie?

Onward to day 2:

I wish I were bad--I find being bad much easier, but here we are. I'm civ. I wish I were able to help the civvies win.

If I'm lynched, go after Kate and Bea next. Scotty isn't making me feel great. Llama may also be a baddie--I keep going back and forth on him. And Dr Wilgy needs to stop licking people and hiding behind his goofiness--it is making me increasingly suspect him.
Yeah, you are probably right. I've drawn absolutely no conclusions this game.
this much is clear.
DrWilgy wrote: Fri Oct 28, 2022 6:48 pm @Golden move your vote to DH. Let's make this a spicy boi

I fully intended to move it back, I just moved it away to take the heat of DH and let him get thoughts in the thread that weren't dominated by defending against me.

See guys like I said, very easy and obvious.
Vote Quin then?
where he stays.

><><><><><><><><>

OK! What have we learned:
DAY 1
-Wilgy had some strong licks D1
-Wilgy calls out Michelle as mafia
-never mentions or suspects Michelle again in since

DAY 2
-Wilgy has come to no conclusions
-Wilgy wants to vote DH to tie up the game because it’s fun and spicy, even though he’s never mentioned DH before.
-He then in a separate thought scolds GMan for suggesting letting the vote get to a tie to let the moderator decide
-Is involved with 2 minutes to go in the vote to vote off DH onto Quin (this one I’m having a hard time visualizing. I can’t tell what the vote was before he moved from DH onto Quin and if that doomed LoRab or not.

My thoughts:
This is patented Chaos Wilgy (tm)
I actually didn’t mind his D1. I thought he had a good air of self awareness in his shtick and actually identified some town reads, I think. Everything after that tho screams “I’m just here for the lols and not really participating. Unfortunately, I’m not sure it’s scum Wilgy behavior. It’s scummy, to be sure, but his play here is oddball. I just played 2 games at once with Wilgy: one he was mafia, and one he was town (I think). Both games were vastly different than this. He’s my most null read and it’s because I can see him doing this in any alignment.

Wilgy, I would really appreciate some reads. Something. Anything. Well…maybe not anything.

Today I took the kids to a birthday party at a Putt-Putt Fun Center. They played games, drove go-karts, and played laser tag. We were there for almost FOUR hours! They had a lot of fun, and I was glad for it. But, it was so nice to come back to my quiet little home. I love my home. It's my favorite place in the entire world. After my husband and kids, it is the thing I'm most thankful for. A super cozy home on a quiet cul-de-sac, in a safe neighborhood.
Banners are cool, but a pain to scroll through so...
I've won a lot of games. I've hosted some games. The end.

I mean, like, is there something you've seen from her that makes you want her to be in the conversation?
I sorta touched on this right at end of night, but it’s not what I’ve seen from her more than what I’ve not seen from her.

I have no reason not to vote her, and that’s about as good as I’ve got right now

It's my favorite place in the entire world. After my husband and kids, it is the thing I'm most thankful for. A super cozy home on a quiet cul-de-sac, in a safe neighborhood.
that sounds so lovely! Man how I miss those little fun centers. I’m surprised they’re still around- all the ones near my childhood home all closed down. I remember one attached to the movie theater had a virtual reality coaster that all my friends and I loved to ride.

Also I totally get the cozy home feeling. It’s like a pinnacle of achievement. When I was in college, I lived in a dorm the size of a closet, when I left college I was touring for years living out of hotels, then rented a place that came fully furnished for a few years, then went back out on the road for more years before I finally was like I JUST WANT MY OWN CHAIR TO SIT IN. Now I sit in my chair and I get fat and sassy. It’s great.

@Elohcin this is an important question. I agreed to bake a bunch of caramel apple cheesecake bars for about 36 people. This is a big endeavor and I’ve never made cheesecake. I went and bought two 9x13 tins and a hand mixer.
My question is:
-are there any suggestions you would have in baking batches at the same time? I probably need to bake 3 tins worth, as it’s 12 to a tin, but the oven only fits 2 tins at a time.
-the recipe serving makes 12 bars, so is it just as simple as tripling all my ingredients in the mixing and crafting process?
-for the crust, I got a pastry knife. I’ve never seen a pastry knife, but I have one now. Any tips for that?
Thanks so much, and peace be with you

Verisimilitude is not the same as truth, but this post, after all the lengthy D2 chatter, puts Scotty over the edge for me and I have moved him into my towncore tier. The structure of this post strikes me as a legit civvie mindset from a place of pure focus. Looking back through at Scotty, his tone (for the most part) seems to be non-emotional without being emotionless. That's the lynchpin for my brain. There's logic with the desire to avoid getting sucked into the emotional side of the game. It's there, almost all the time. In this post alone, he's focused on one thing- moving the game forward. Is it a dig at DH, yes. But it's not an invitation to mud wrestle. It's a logical slap and request to rise above. If there is a baddie in the big talkers, I rule out Scotty. Golden and DH both got caught up in the emotional side of the game. That's not a putdown or a judgement on either of them. Emotion happens. And emotions are harder to cut through and interpret.

In fast-moving games (most games, really) I tend to just keep pressing forward. This amplifies when I have to catch up. Your thoughts weren't worth my time the minute they were posted. Sure, on Day 1, we have to do something to try and make some luck and find a foothold or two. You posted thoughts, not a case. I can't punch holes in thoughts, but what you wrote was indicative of the need to hire a copy editor because it was a disastrous misreading of my posts. But you're not inside my head, are you? You misinterpreted some of what I wrote. It happens. Just because I don't stop and respond to your one thoughts post or all the mopey posts bemoaning the fact that I brushed you off doesn't mean a thing. I'm trying to move forward and get my nostrils above water in this game, so when you build a case, please @ me and I'll address it. Until then,

- G-Man's LoRab vote gave the Moderator power over the lynch before Wilgy's switcheroo. Can't read alignment off this, but pretty awful reasoning.

- llama votes Quin and is the anti-Sloonei. Sloonei says I'm good regardless of what llama says. llama says I'm bad regardless of what Sloonei says. Definitely not temmies, unless the point is to keep me in the forefront as a failsafe if a different teammate gets too much heat.

Valid observation in pink. I'd also say off the way D2 went down that I have a hard time seeing DH and Golden being w/w. That stuff got too deep and awkward to be contrived.

I still suspect DH, but I’m gonna give that a rest today. That’s not to say I will not vote that way, just that I think there’s little to be gained by tunnelling and not doing other things.

I’m also going to step away for tonight and be back tomorrow. I’ve been enjoying the Sunday afternoon with my kids and plan to focus on that.

Putting DH aside let me just tell you how I’m feeling about people before I head off.

Bea - im inclined to always read bea as civ. I can’t say that I can call to kind a time she was bad. That said… I’m reading bea as civ. I liked her prodding of me to get a gut read, felt like a genuine attempt to get feet in the game, I liked what she managed to communicate while cursed too, I’m not sure whether mafia bea goes to that effort.

DF - a proper scum read at this point. DF is always quiet and I defended him on day 1 but it’s day 3 now…. And perpetual catch up mode. I don’t think civ DF is *this* quiet.

Wilgy - wilgys licks followed by flavours read as reads to me. Am I reading too much in to them? I had an early townread because I found method in his madness, but it also feels like he’s gone quiet, and I don’t know what’s up with his day two voting. Certainly it’s notable to me that he asked me to jump on DH with him but jumped off. I’ve downgraded him to ‘time to watch more closely’.

Elo - in my mind, likely townslipped. I don’t like the case she had on LoRab, but I’m also not quite sure how much they actually played together (elo, how much *have* you played with lorab?). Pretty high on my green list.

G-Man - I see he’s posting a bit now, I confess I haven’t read much of today yet. I’m glad for it though, because it means I can get a better read. For now, G-Man is someone I’d vote for with no qualms. His vote for me on day one felt like a no u and I still don’t know why he did it, and his vote on day 2 felt like a DH save. A DH/G-Man team makes sense to me, in that DH has scum read and voted for G and put a little pressure on him but not with massive substance. In a DH!civ world, G-Man’s vote for LoRab still didn’t look great.

Kate - looking forward to a Kate on topic day. Feels like town Kate, have not been pinged yet, but cautious with myself that I might have warm feelings in part because we see eye to eye on DH. It can be hard to separate how I feel about someone in game from my read sometimes. So Kate’s on topic posting today will help.

Michelle - I have literally zero feelings about Michelle, she has made nearly no impression on me. I don’t love that. Of the three people I’m not familiar with who played this game, she is the only one I’ve had no impression of. I’ll iso her today to see if it’s just me or if there’s not a lot of substance.

Quin - my thoughts on Quin have been fairly well canvassed at this point. I currently have Quin in the higher tier.

Scotty - I am enjoying playing with Scotty, but I definitely don’t trust him. DH suspected him big time, but Scotty had spent a lot of time trying to repatriate DHs image. A DH/Scotty w/w feels quite viable, or even likely, to me. Inside my head, I’ve flip flopped more on Scotty than on anyone else in this game. Whether mafia or civ, I think he’s playing a very smart game, and I wouldn’t be keen to vote here without more evidence (eg a DH mafia flip), because if he’s town he’s contributing a lot.

Sig - a top town read on day one, seems to have vanished in day two, and that’s convenient, actually. In the first half of day two I had the sense mafia were under zero pressure… quiet thread, not much of much happening. Sig resting on his day one laurels fits that pattern. Would vote this way as things stand right now.

Sloonei - I think he’s town, no notes.

Vivax - sharp, I like what they’re contributing. Right now I have a decent town lean on them and I don’t feel the need to spend my time casing them. I agree with their goal of creating a town core although I agree with the wisdom of not doing it so overtly in a role madness game… you’re not only giving mafia a roadmap on who to kill, but also who to green and use other abilities on.

All that being said, there’s four players I feel I could vote right now.

DF, G-Man, Michelle, sig.

I don’t know that DF or G-Man really respond to vote pressure by posts (and I haven’t read G-Mans new posts yet). Michelle has one vote, so I’ll vote [VOTE: sig] aubergine, I want to see you in here.

I've never played with Kate. Hi Kate!

Kate has been generating reads, but the vast majority of them are developed in reaction to other's posts. Very little proactive scum hunting is happening. I'm seeing this as a scum doing the rounds to respond to lots of prompts, but not generating anything new of her own accord.

Can you comment on this, @Kate ?

Kate has been generating reads, but the vast majority of them are developed in reaction to other's posts. Very little proactive scum hunting is happening. I'm seeing this as a scum doing the rounds to respond to lots of prompts, but not generating anything new of her own accord.

if i cared to i would ask what reads you're talking abut.
