I got one of those AncestryDNA kits for Christmas. The results just came in (I let the box sit around for a while before finally spitting in the tube and popping it in the mail.

I'm stunned:

58% Great Britain
18% Scandinavian
12% Southern European
5% Eastern European
3% Western European
2% Iberian Peninsula
2% European Jewish
<1% Irish/Scottish/Welsh
<1% Caucasus

I knew I had strong Scandinavian representation in my family tree but I expected anywhere from 40-50% German based on surnames.

I've got had the experience of an ancestry test thing but going off purely anecdotes/stories I'd say Irish, Spanish a little, Probably a bunch of Eastern European, probably some UK/GB

But thats what I know. Being Brazilian there is a huge possibility I have some blood of African and Native American. And who knows what else. Apparently my middle name was created by Jews who converted to catholiscism half a millenium ago, so I might be part Jew too.
