I think it is. How else to explain his behavior. But there is no need to be ashamed.

I mean, I could have just shut up and let things play out.

And

Well, I would have been lynched when Ted switched to me instead. :shrug2: Fair enough.

We still have a chance - there should be no question who to lynch tomorrow I don't think.

I mean, the mafia could try to kill the wrong person? Technically.

Or 3P shenannigans.

But I hope you are correct!

Long Con's story posts hint at King Dedede still being alive.
If he dies tonight, however, i think the game ends. Not much we can do about that at this point.

So I kinda forgot the game was happening, but I've played this setup a couple times in sitechat before, (and modded them, too) and usually it doesn't matter who gets lynched first, just because if you get town, you get a confirmed townie, and most of the time by the first couple minutes based on who's working with who and so on and so forth. I saw the votecount and it looked like it was him or you. I knew if I voted you I'd either get scum and p much win, or I'd get town and you'd shoot him (killing scum). That's how it goes pretty much every time. So I flipped a coin that would only land heads up.

I get this setup mixed up a lot, though, with SS3 (and also every time I skim this I think townies are perma one-shot lynchproof) which is why I posted like I did at beginning of day 2. I know you know I'm town, cuz if you didn't think I was, you'd have shot me yesterday. Let's lynch juliets and win this thing for the homies?

Hey, he posted the same thing in a game that's already finished. Scroll down to the "Hope keeps on..." game. You'll see that he's the last poster. Game ended ages ago but he just posted that today, this afternoon.

Champions 2019 - Crisis on The Syndicate [ENDGAME]

Post by Long Con »

Don't Call It A Crisis...

speedchuck stood, hammer in hand, still dripping blood from the brutal execution of TonyStarkPrime. He realized, too late, that Tony had been a true hero, a real ally. Now his allies were far too few.

He bowed his head, and chuckled. "Were you plotting against us the whole time, Epignosis? Or did he get to you, did he DO something-"

Epi cut him short with a sharp laugh. "Oh, don't worry. I'm not under anyone's control... I'm in charge now, actually." speedchuck didn't have to turn to hear the low hum of the plasma blaster Epignosis had pointed at his back.

Tranq nodded slowly, with a slight smile. "I never really trusted you... but you never moved against me. That was a wise decision."

"We don't need your kind of trouble, Akechi," said Epignosis. "In fact, we could use someone with your skills, if you're willing. One-time-only offer."

Tranq shook his head. "As long as the multiverse isn't in direct danger, then I'm going back to my universe."

"We'll take good care of it, don't worry, Now that we're in charge."

"The Monitor will stop you!" cried speedchuck. "She's more powerful than... wait, why do you keep saying 'we'?" He turned around, only to see tedxtr, standing behind the Monitor. The Monitor was frozen in stasis, wrapped in thick yellow bands of energy, an expression of terrible regret on her face. Clearly, juliets had realized the duplicity far too late.

tedxtr waved a hand mockingly. "Hey, speedchuck, I don't think I'll be making the poker game this Thursday. Or rather, you're not going to make it!"

speedchuck roared, and whipped his hammer around to crush Epignosis, but Epi's trigger finger was much faster, and he blew speedchuck into composite atoms.

He turned to Tranq. "I guess you should be on your way then."

Tranq motioned to juliets. "What will happen to her? She was... a friend."

"I'll be holding on to her," said tedxtr. "We'll be siphoning off her tremendous power to add to our own - it's practically limitless! We will RULE THE MULTIVERSE!!" And he bellowed evil laughter.

Epi looked embarrassed. "ted, we talked about that, we're not doing that." He turned to Tranq. "I mean, we are going to rule it, but we don't need to fall into that kind of clichéd behaviour, right?"

"Oh, I don't know," said Tranq. "You guys have been through a lot, and now you've won. It could be cathartic... a release of stress."

"Come on, man," cajoled tedxtr. "Let's do just one, together. Tranq can laugh too, I promise it'll be awesome!"

Epi sighed. "Fine. All right. Let's do this." And he let forth a mighty and maniacal laugh, and the other two joined in, and it was infectious. And cathartic. They laughed.

And laughed.

And laughed.

The game has ended! The Master's Team (Sloonei, Macdougall, Epignosis, and tedxtr), and Akechi (Tranq) have won the game! Congratulations, winners!

Thank you for playing Champions 2019 - Crisis On The Syndicate!

Excellent game, everybody. Especially LC and BR. I think this was my first significant experience with one of their games and it lived up to the hype. I loved it.

And my teammates all kicked ass. :feb:

Okay, well I’m glad to see that I was right about Sloonei and his garbage attempt to throw shade at me. That’s another top-notch name that I can say that I’ve busted thanks to my that internal BS detector.

I had fun up until the day people said some rough things about my choice to let you lynch me. It’s been hard to even lurk for long around here since then, but now that the game is over, I can ignore most of the words that were written about me. I didn’t give up or throw the game. I made a choice that was designed to wake people up, and it did, at least for a little while.

Always a pleasure, LC and BR. ‘Tis a pity that I won’t get to play one of these masterpieces again.

How good was the team though. When I saw Epi, Sloonei, Ted, Mac I antoniobanderasbitingfist.giffed pretty hard. Sucked to get knocked out so early but you guys played it very clean from then on. Hell they didn't even lynch you.

Tried. A little.

But MYLO was so damned frustrating for me I assumed we were shitting in our own corn flakes. So I switched and fulfilled that prophecy myself. Well played Ted, Epi.

My suspicion of you was genuine early on, for the record. The lynch vote was complete bullshit though. :nicenod:

:cloud9: Thanks man... but I always need a break after a game. Actually, this was not nearly as much work as my usual games.

:noble: :noble: :noble: The hype is usually more justified in elevation for our games; this one was a lot more "by-the-books" than our usual fare. Hope to see you in A World Ascended when the time rolls around.

Oh, I’m not going anywhere. I’m just not compatible with larger games anymore. Heists are my limit. Unfortunately, that means I won’t be able to participate in future Long-Rock productions. Despite all that, you can’t get rid of me that easily! :p

Besides, I have to complete my long-run gimmick and I also have about two dozen game ideas cooking in my spreadsheet of insanity. :srsnod: :feb:
