I would also love to know this. Like INH and Tranq my role card said that I was supposed to get lynched Day 3 to achieve the awesome potential of my role. Would have been fun to be around for that chaos.

BoomLong Con wrote: ↑Wed Jan 16, 2019 9:27 am If the Civs had lynched Mac on any number of days, including several where he was outed as the tentacle-slapping Kraken, then they likely would have won.
If the Corrupt Remnant had chosen to kill Mac with the many chances they had, then the Civs could have won.
When Epi was the Champion for a couple of days (you know - the part of his role he didn't tell you about that was the Civ vigilante whose kills failed on Civs!) he chose to keep hiding away at the top edge of the map instead of finding a baddie (maybe one who is hard to lynch?) and killing them.
In the first game in the series, Mafia: A World Apart, the Civs would have won if they hadn't allowed themselves to be fooled by a cheap illusion and a fast-talking baddie who convinced them he was unlynchable with only the power of his words.
In Mafia: A World Reborn, the Civs had a fine chance to win. They were just outplayed by the baddies.
The mistakes in this game weren't balance issues. They were: 1. Outting DH early, 2. Allowing the Jagged Blade to choose to out their whole team (I should have host-interfered with that), and 3. Flight rules provided too much valuable info to the fliers.
I look forward to analyzing GOC 2018, which is clearly a paragon of balance.

Re: Mafia: A World Asunder - Day 6 Lynch
This is a masterpieceLong Con wrote: ↑Tue Dec 25, 2018 1:10 amA Realm Story'Twas the night before Christmas, and all through the Realm
A lynch was beginning, Long Con at the helm
Sakana Sashimi carolled with his gills
The Frost Knight made snowflakes, while feeling no chills
The Kraken wrapped presents, eight tentacles taping
The Pixie hung garland, with thoughts of escaping
Chevuschade Voidwing helped light up the sky
While Thaddeus Mechaspark made toys on the fly
D'Abrutsi worked double, and pulled an all-nighter
The Seer lit a candle, rememb'ring Lamplighter
When all of a sudden, there arose such a clatter
And Civvies and baddies alike went to scatter
He burst through the clouds, hooves pounding the air
Santa Claus in his sleigh, drawn by reindeer in pair
He leapt out as he landed, boots cracking the ice
And he brought out a list, which he checked over twice
Cleared his throat, "Now, don't see me as overly haughty,
But it seems DDL is especially naughty!"
"I'd normally leave him a handful of coal,
But the crimes he's committed - he forfeits his soul!
Pour me a hot chocolate, cinnamon, just a pinch,
And let's go about finalizing this lynch!"
DDL squirmed and sweat, his mortality waning
The votes piled up, and no one was complaining!
"Time to leave!" he decided, and he opened a door
From the square he was in, to some place from before
Toxic Frog ribbited, "He's gone through a Portal!"
But the kindly old elf, with a wink and a chortle
Said "The magic of Christmas will prevail yet
I hope DDL doesn't mind getting wet!"
A magical sparkle, and a twitch of his nose,
And the portal's egress became one that he chose
Coming out on A10, with no ground to land on
He sputtered and drowned, and then he was gone.
Santa laughed, and a sparkle did dance in his eye
as he said, "Now it's time for ol' Santa to fly
I hope that you Civvies can just get things right
Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night!"
Dragon D Luffy has been lynched! He was Portalman, a member of the Corrupt Remnant.
It's now a Christmas-extended Night 6. Merry Christmas!

I think Sloon's info is helpful, but I think this isn't a very good way to use it. These are team kills, not individual kills. I'd rather look at the Sloonei Five and lynch based on merit instead of NK analysis, especially in a setup like this.MacDougall wrote: ↑Tue Dec 11, 2018 10:19 pm If you named those five cats and said "who of these are most likely to kill nutella" I would say Lunalee.
I got linki'd and apparently this has already been said. I'll shut up until I finish the thread.
But if sloonei is sure of this, I agree we need to judge on thread evidence, not who someone may be chummy with and like to kill.

Wolbre was lynched for really silly reasons. That's on him as much as on the people that were after him. The counter wagons were... wilgy and Sloonei I think? One is a mislynch waiting to happen (or a lucky mafia lynch, IDK with lurker wilgy) and the other is Sloonei. Which no. Bad lynch.
Pulling something out of that rapid-fire linki-filled mess in which the guy who got lynched was daring the thread to lynch him doesn't seem like the best use of my time.

Also I re-read your juliets iso and don't actually see anything that convinces me to scumread her. Most of the posts you quote are neutral and her usual style of questioning/getting her head in the game and I see those posts as NAI for her. Your biggest "red flag" point is asking her to qualify a vague suspicion which she literally qualifies in the remainder of the post after the sentence you highlighted but I guess you elected to ignore that detail.
I do agree that her Wilgy vote was weak though, and you and mac both made a decent point about wilgy being a frequent scapegoat for lazy bandwagoners (she wasn't the first to vote wilgy was she? idk maybe she was but still kind of an easy/low-risk option)

That's essentially what Mac is suggesting right now. It's obnoxious and idiotic and if I get lynched I'm gonna be annoyed and sign up for Colin's heist.
G-Man arbitrarily decides to case a group of people when he is one vote from being lynched.
G-Man decides that juliets is Mafia.
Captain Sloonei chooses G-Man of all people to follow the case of when he is also one vote from being lynched.
Captain Sloonei agrees with G-Man and tries to build a case on juliets.

Re: Mafia: A World Asunder - GAME THREAD [Day 1]
Yeah tbh I think this is often a problem with D1/early game in general. Higher posters tend to get lynched but they actually tend to be town because the mafia are hanging back and letting others do the work and since there are so many players the lower-posting half just get forgotten and aren't on the table.Sloonei wrote: ↑Mon Dec 10, 2018 12:05 am It reminds me of that time when MP and I were literally the only two people in the thread in Search for Quin and he insisted that I must be scum because I was the only person in the game actively pushing any theories. Because I was the only other person bothering to do anything at all. I got lynched because nobody else was playing.
That's essentially what Mac is suggesting right now. It's obnoxious and idiotic and if I get lynched I'm gonna be annoyed and sign up for Colin's heist.
