Re: U-Pick Mafia Vol 1 - Game Over

Thanks for hosting this game - it was very fun. :p
It was a shame that more people didn't join the sex cave and meet King Kong/the sex cryptid, but oh well.

Can I ask why you all decided to vote for me? If it's because I didn't vote Eloh, that's pretty weak to me. I've never been one to blindly hop on bandwagons, I always vote who I think is scum and, in yesterday's case, it was Colin - and it still is.
Well... I can definitely tell you that that is NOT my reason, cuz I defo didn't vote Elo either :derp:
So, what is the reason then?
Personally I don't like how upon being explained the case on Eloh, your first reaction was to throw shit on Jay for his claim.

JaggedJimmyJay redirected any actions Elochin performed last night onto speedchuck (his 2 biggest scum reads at the time). Today, we learned that speedchuck is in a coma (I was in a coma for the duration of Day 2 and Night 2). speedchuck was a highly surprising choice, considering people were already suspicious of him and he wasn't really stepping on anyone's toes (except Scotty's maybe). Now, Elohcin denies that she is the person putting people in comas, and that her only role is to be unlynchable. It would make sense for Eloh to want to silence me after day 1/night 1, and with the evidence that JJJ has revealed, it also makes most sense she was caught silencing someone else who got redirected onto speedchuck.

What do you think of that?
I'm assuming this is off the videos (which I haven't been able to watch). Do we know who he redirected on night one and onto who?
If this is true, it is certainly odd and a bit scummy to me. Denying evidence like that is definitely scummy.
JaggedJimmyJay does not have a regular redirect role; he had to do something to earn that power. He got it for Night 2 and used it on Elohcin --> speedchuck.
What did he have to do? I'd find his claim easier to believe if I knew that.
I'm from the UK, yes. :p

Could you come up with some better reasons next time though? I don't think me being a calculated speaker and tiptoeing around is proof of me being scum - and you've not really provided any evidence of this stuff. I've accepted my fate now, friendo - it's for the greater good in the end.

Zephyrus wrote: Fri May 25, 2018 2:50 pm Okay. So this Eloh situation. Generally, when someone claims, I think that believing them is preferable to straight up lynching them so that you can give them a chance to prove their role, and, in this case, lynching Eloh is the only way to prove it. I personally buy the tardigrade story, but I don't understand the defeatist attitude. The whole point of defending, of convincing people not to lynch you, is stupid if you supposedly don't die. Yes, other people could be lynched instead, but we still get information from you not dying, so it's not completely useless. Overall, a scummy look to me.

Character development at its finest.
1) "Scum can easily bandwagon Eloh, so try not to do it."
2) "She looks scum to me, but I'm not going to lynch her just yet."
3) "It appears this lynch is going to happen, better get on while I still can."
The use of stuff like "We can do more" and "That's as much a wasted day as any" to try and suggest that we aren't trying hard enough and that the lynch will not help us at all is really scummy to me, so I'm sticking with lynching Colin.
The point is that, either Zephyrus is Eloh's teammate (supporting her lynch while still not voting for her), or he could be on to something with Colin. I guess they could all be teammates, but that seems really self-destructive at that point... is a double-bus where they were at on Day 3? That would be grim.

And geez, looking at the polls now, Zeph stayed parked on Colin while the whole Eloh-nutella tie built up. That really looks like avoidance, and that is not a good look.
It wasn't avoidance. I made a case about Colin and I stuck with it.

Do you have reason to believe not all town roles in this game have "significant" abilities?
Perhaps. I don't know what roles are out there. But maybe, if he got a role that couldn't do much and he's busy, he'd be less likely to devote as much time as he might've if he'd got a role with abilities that can be helpful to town winning.

Honestly, I can't get a read on you. I just don't like the DDL lynch - it seems shady. You are on it, therefore I think you are slightly suspicious. I'll happily reassess you if me thinking you are suspicious is making you uncomfortable.
I’m comfortable being suspected, but I dislike no rationale, and I dislike that rationale. I made a case against DDL before he claimed, and voted accordingly, so the way you’re portraying my vote as reactive, if I’m reading you right, isn’t correct.
Okay. So, if you made the case against beforehand, surely it might be prudent to start considering another option for your lynch, especially considering the claim he's made.

Contrary to what I was initially worried about, Lilefer is less suspicious to me now. If he was an important role, like scum or a town role, he would've been active, even if he was busy. But I still want to see more if he can.
Jackofhearts2005 isn't really at the top of my list, although him trying to get a rise out of people is a bit scummy to me.
Kylemii is probably my favourite for town. He seems very towny and I can't find anything that really screams scum to me.
No fucking clue for Spirityo - he's a bop it!, I guess, which aren't really open books.
JaggedJimmyJay seems fine to me - nothing glaringly obvious to me as I looked over. Perhaps I'll do a more in depth look later on.

Dragon D. Luffy's lynch seems silly to me. He's claimed a role, which, if he is telling the truth, can be proved if he rescues the people he says he can. If they aren't rescued, then we know who to kill. If they are rescued, whoever pushed for this lynch is dirty scum. As such, Lunalee and ColinIsCool are the people I'm most suspicous of (who can be lynched) - plus maybe Jackofhearts2005 for contributing to this doubt on DDL. I personally think Lunalee is more suspicous than ColinIsCool so....

Re: U-Pick Mafia Vol 1 - Night 1

If I may offer my opinion on all this polling discussion, I think that either option 1 or 6 are the best choice. Option 1 seems the safest option and probably best for scum not getting an advantage. Option 6, however, would offer lots of information about who was good and who was bad, which could be quite important. For the time being, I'll go with option 6, just because gaining that information is more important, especially with how many people are in the game.

I'm not really feeling a scum lochlan based on how I have seen him play in games with me and hosting games that he's played in it. I think that he's just really busy. Him coming at me early in hindsight is a good sign for me, there hasn't been a game where both of us are Town and try to chew the other to pieces only to realize we are both Town and Daisy chain it to the end
While I agree that Lochlan being busy might've made him play differently, I'm not seeing anything from him that really screams to me that he is town, or not suspicious - at least if we're going on how he plays on GTF. He's not been as perceptive as I would've expected by now, and, while I imagine its partly due to not knowing everyone's playstyle, he's who I've got the read on that I'm most confident with.

That being said, there's been talk about the boobquest, and, while it seems too complicated to be made up, I've seen the shit that Brennan's come up with in the past, so I'm taking everything with a pinch of salt. We've had no indication from anyone that they possess Steven Tyler's missing boob, so it either doesn't exist, or there is some reason that they don't want to reveal who they are. I do want some more information about it from Brennan though.

@wolbre04, if you can reveal this information, what specifically happens when you guess who has the boob? Does the person die if they have it/are that role? Does it get stolen?
I don't know what happens exactly, I just know that it is part of a group of tasks I have to complete to unlock further ones. I have no idea what happens if I pick correctly. It just talks about finding the "right" manboob and doesn't say if I kill them, steal it, etc @Zephyrus
Okay. Not exactly as helpful as I would have liked, but eh. Are you scum, btw?

I've played eight games. 5 as town. One as mafia (which we won). One as 3P with Lochlan. One as a strange role that Brennan and Lochlan created. The last game I played, I was town (Jeremy Corbyn).
what website are you from? who in this game do you already know?

what are your strongest first impressions?
GTF - I know Brennan, Lochlan, and Sig from there.
I don't really know how you all play and stuff like that, so I've not got very strong impressions about you as of yet (but I expect I'll get some ideas a bit later on). I'm always a bit suspicious of Lochlan at the start, but I may think differently when he starts posting some reads.
I can't remember how Brennan plays because he's mostly hosted horribly bastardised games, so I can't offer any insight on that front.

Sorry I'm late. I've got exams so I may not be extremely active but I'll try.

I'm a spooky sex cryptid, just to let you all know.

Lilefer Hi Lochlan. I got GIFs a-plenty, don't worry. I'm still struggling to post them sometimes.
