I’ll go back to the vote I made when I wasn’t so nervous and was actively rereading. That’s worked for me in the past and I know I get caught up in recency bias sometimes. By that I mean I like to townread the person who’s been posting more or more recently.

Do I have to? I feel like my votes are like explained in the post I make them or the prior post like 95% of the time. Seems like busywork that is gonna do nothing for your read on me or maybe make you think I'm more wolfy so why bother? Let me know if there's something that isn't clear and I'll clear it up.

There’s this thing called the endgame question I was taught where I ask people to explain the thoughts behind their reads and votes all game. Could both of you please explain your thoughts behind every vote you made (more importantly on days 1-3)?

If this were an MU game with their criteria for what is towny and scummy Syn would be a runaway wagon. I also got fooled for a bit by an ill advised double busser in another game because “it would make no sense to bus that much you just lose to mech”

I was considering changing my vote when I woke up because Jack would be showing a really impressive wolf range in his play. Syn would have a good wolf range too, but it’s really hard to make that many convincing solving posts and fake town entitlement like Jack did.

I don’t really buy the slip as a slip.

Nothing that moved the needle a lot for me, he bussed a partner (Abigail) but was reluctant to and defended her a bit too. He townread his other partner Michelle.

Like usual this game I'm not confident Jack is mafia just because I'm voting there. This choice was even more of a knife edge choice than the last couple and it mostly came down to which bus and plan seemed more plausible for a scum team trying to win the game. I've definitely seen people make suboptimal or head scratching plays as mafia though and it's not that far fetched to think Syn might have.

I'll hear any case on why Syn bussing dunya isn't that weird.

I kind of got what I needed, which is that Dunya doesn't have an aversion to distancing from her teammates and that's unlikely to have changed. She did some exaggerated distancing with nutella.

(also, cool setup. I like draft setups and fantasy theme)

I'm glad I at least got some of my solving enjoyment back tonight. I've kind of been in a slump after I let both Dunya and Wisdom go after having both as wolf reads at different times, so I've had trouble with having any confidence in any of my reads.

I have to go so far back trying to search for a Dunya scum game that I'm not sure it's worthwhile. Does anyone know of one off the top of their head? I just want to get a general idea of how Dunya treats partners.

I kind of thought these posts together looked good for Syn. There was really nothing to apologize to Daisy for and it felt like dunya was trying to keep Daisy's suspicion on Syn.

I don't think Jack's push on Lime d3 is really wolfy though. It makes sense that anyone, town or wolf, would want to push someone who is saying to kill them without really caring about their alignment.

Hmm yes and I'm a better wolf player than Syn.

I don't think I follow. Your dunya vote felt more like a noncommittal vote while she was already a wagon so to me it's not the same as Syn starting the wagon.

I read a Syn scum game and he did put a vote on his teammate Abigail Sophia on day 6, but Abigail was already a wagon when he did and Syn had chainsaw defended her earlier. He townread his other teammate Michelle.

I don't think Syn is as averse to bussing as some people are, but he was hesitant to bus his teammate and waited until other people voted her.

I'm leaning towards voting Jack partly because of the difference between how Syn treats Roxy and how Jack treats Roxy. Both Syn or Jack, if wolf, would be fighting an uphill battle. Roxy would be a required miskill for both.

Jack is keeping Roxy as a possible if unlikely wolf throughout his ISO work. Syn is completely shutting down wolfreads on Roxy to the point of wanting to push a clear over her if it's LYLO.

I guess I'll just vote now as a lean even though I'm not done with my work. Maybe putting the votes at a tie will help inspire discussion.

This is weird. Dunya calling Jack possible 3p is good for Jack but her reasoning being that Jack hasn't pushed her yet makes it a bit less good.

I just looked at Sims Mafia where Roxy and Long Con were mafia together and Roxy's distancing with him pretty much consisted of her making a show of the fact that they disagreed on reads.

It's possible wolf Roxy felt genuine frustration with how dunya treated her but reading their interactions there's stuff on both sides that makes me really think Roxy is town.

At the time dunya said this, it doesn't look like there was any indication Jack would be the accepted flash wagon out of those three. LPP was townreading Jack and Daisy had all three in her PoE. Other than Lime I don't think anyone badly wanted Jack killed and he was kind of floating in the consensus PoE. It's plausible dunya just didn't know Jack would be the name out of those to catch on and when Long Con voted Jack it would be weird for dunya not to follow.

Bussing your last partner in a role madness game with a tracker and jailkeeper still alive is a pretty bad idea regardless of whether it's Syn bussing dunya or dunya bussing Jack. With dunya bussing Jack I could at least see it as a desperate last-ditch play to try to save a losing team. With Syn bussing dunya... idk what he was doing if he's a wolf. Here’s what I see:
He starts D3 by voting for dunya, has a flurry of posts that are condemning her.
After she’s gone? Back to his lackadaisical voting patterns voting with trite or unexplained reasoning.

He knew she was bad…because he *knew* she was bad.

AND

He wasn’t even around for the eod where dunya went down. Dunya BARELY got yeeted. We don’t know what syn would have done in the waning moments if he were around.

There was a definite difference here and Syn did push dunya harder than anyone else in the game. I'm just not sure if that's wolfy for him.

For anyone with meta: Does Syn bus like that? I guess same question for dunya, would she bus like that at EoD? If one of dunya or Syn is known to be averse to bussing that may change my vote.

I'm kind of seeing dunya's vote on Jack being a bus as a little more likely than Syn's vote on dunya being a bus.

Syn opened d3 with a vote on dunya, saw the wagon on dunya build up, and stayed on it. He did float voting DDL and voting me which makes me feel a little worse about him but he had no real reason to bus dunya at SoD when there was no indication she was in danger.

Dunya may have voted Jack on antispew and was actually resigned to her fate of dying. In a vacuum I'd probably take an antispew EoD bus as more likely than an unprompted SoD bus.

I'll make my choice between Syn and Jack later, but I don't think Lime is 3p for social reasons. All the stuff I townread him on like his performance anxiety and worrying about his votes is very town specific to him. I tinfoiled Lime 3p because of LPP's statement but I don't think he is.

You know, we could be off on the Lime Coke clearing game, if we put the pieces together.

Because even if Lime Coke was jailed/blocked on N2, dunya could very easily have put in the kill, and probably did.
Lime was both tracked and jailkept on n3. Look at LPP’s ISO start of d3. He said he was tunneling Lime at night but then as the sun rose it clicked Lime was town. That’s a pretty obvious track.

I think it’s likely wolves just did some ill-advised bussing and the wolf is one of Syn or Jack.
Thunal, if I'm jailkept I can't do actions or be on the receiving end of actions...so if DDL jailkept me then LPP wouldn't have even gotten a result from me.

Jailkept means blocked and protected, it says in the jailkeeper description. You could still be tracked while jailkept, the tracker would just get a no visit result.

Yeah I picked up on Roxy always coming in with those lists a couple game days ago which is why I asked her if it was normal yesterday.

She also didn't have to change her mind since both dunya and Nanook had vote manipulating roles. Someone's vote could have counted for 2 or 0 so it could have broke the tie for dunya and not even needed Roxy's input.

FWIW Scotty was cleared by LPP’s n4 track. He said he was exactly as confident Scotty was town as he was that Lime was town.

You know, we could be off on the Lime Coke clearing game, if we put the pieces together.

Because even if Lime Coke was jailed/blocked on N2, dunya could very easily have put in the kill, and probably did.

Lime was both tracked and jailkept on n3. Look at LPP’s ISO start of d3. He said he was tunneling Lime at night but then as the sun rose it clicked Lime was town. That’s a pretty obvious track.

I think it’s likely wolves just did some ill-advised bussing and the wolf is one of Syn or Jack.

Anyway I want to actually dig in and put in effort to try to make the right choice tomorrow.

Mostly saying this because saying it might motivate me to do it.

Actually it isn't, I just realized. :P

LPP was afk until d2 and said he completely forgot about the game. He very likely didn't have an action n1 so it was impossible for him to have tracked Lime before n3.

The SVS kill maybe indicates the last mafia isn’t paying attention to mech. If it’s not NANOOK, we could get some intel by who gets killed tonight.

Any wolf who’s paying attention to mech will kill Scotty. If the game goes on and wolves don’t kill Scotty tonight, we’ll know the last wolf isn’t paying attention.

If the wolves don’t kill Scotty we’ll have another clear so barring 3p we’d be in a really good position.

Jack pushing me might be towny since dunya knew I wasn’t pushable. It’s possible she didn’t communicate that in wolf chat but I still think it’s a point in Jack’s favor.

Nook is not Nooking. While he usually can find me town v easily it's like he has not even tried this game. I do not remember anything he has posted so it my mind he is laying far too low.

Jibay is a nub. Called me town until dunya died but now thinks I could be bad. They are new but their reads feel coached.

Total honesty one of my top town reads is probs 3P.

I will only post reads and a vote for this game bc it is no longer fun for me but I have way too much respect for Epi to just quit.

Tbh, I don’t really care about people’s theories on why I’m bad anymore because I’m cleared town.

I don’t think the dispute with Dunya was distancing in light of this post. Roxy may end up being my townread in the PoE.

Also do you normally make lists of most to least suspicious when you come back and give reads? Iirc that’s different from your usual play.

We should be focusing on finding one town clear in the PoE to bet the game on.

What happens if there’s 1 town 1 3P and 1 wolf left? The game is not actually locked because of that situation. I’d guess a 3p victory, but it could be played out with the 3p as kingmaker. Or the 3p might leave the game once they achieve their wincon.

I have entertained both Syn and Jack because 1 tinfoil 2 I just disliked how they seemed to be willing to keep the POE wide open by not trying to figure out what was happening behind the scene (but sometimes u just miss things or have less time I dunno)

Tbf I think dunya thought she had less chance of survival when she was voting Nanook than when she was voting Jack. She sat on Nanook to remind everyone he exists.
