This is interesting.Epignosis wrote:Good gawd.nutella wrote:As Scotty is suggesting, either honestly or backpedalingly, he might have intentionally posted an ambiguously slip-like joke to see who jumped on it opportunistically, but I think Zebra's reaction is totally reasonable as an interpretation/assumption that it was a slip.

Scotty banters with his team a lot in BTSC. If he were to slip, it could have been any post with any manner of content, like responding to a teammate's question about what he had for supper the night before. That his very first post is on topic, about whom to kill (before Day 1 has even started, no less), and indirectly related to S~V~S is far too coincidental for me to believe it was any kind of mistake.G-Man wrote:Does anyone think Scotty slipped? There's some hard reasoning going on by a few players that makes it look likely.
Could it also be a manufactured slip by a baddie to provide some cover for his teammates? Bussing a teammate Day 1 has happened before.
This is going to be an entertaining Day 1.
I think it was an intentional joke, but I don't think it speaks to his alignment either way. He could still be bad who was just trying to be funny.G-Man wrote:So do you think it was a joke or he, as a baddie, posted that to make it look like a slip?
Maybe they're trying to vote while on a smart phone? If that's not it, thenEpignosis wrote:Damn, how hard is it to vote the right person?

How hard is it to...you know...LOOK at where your vote is before tapping submit? I do that even on a computer.G-Man wrote:Maybe they're trying to vote while on a smart phone? If that's not it, thenEpignosis wrote:Damn, how hard is it to vote the right person?
I'm with you all the way. I was just trying to come up with an explanation. There's no excuse for not double checking your vote before hitting submit.Epignosis wrote:How hard is it to...you know...LOOK at where your vote is before tapping submit? Well, even I screwed it up one time...Epignosis wrote:How hard is it to...you know...LOOK at where your vote is before tapping submit? As a host, I find myself rooting for everyone. You can't help it, even though you know everyone can't win. All you really want is people to play hard and try to win, and for each individual person I hope for them that they happen to use their ability perfectly. Great cases are part of that.Enrique wrote:I know I'm supposed to stay neutral, but damn that's a good case.
I start out neutral, but root for those that put forth effort.Golden wrote:As a host, I find myself rooting for everyone. You can't help it, even though you know everyone can't win. This is exactly how I am as a host as well.Epignosis wrote:I start out neutral, but root for those that put forth effort.Golden wrote:As a host, I find myself rooting for everyone. This is where I sit. As a host, it sucks to see good roles ruined by either poor play or bad luck. You can't prevent bad luck, so I try not to get too emotionally attached to roles I create. Sometimes that can be difficult.Ricochet wrote:A third path would probably be rooting for each player to use their assigned roles to their best capabilities.

Yeah that was a tricky situation. In typical Scotty fashion I felt like talking too much D1 and as a sacrifice to helping Porc win, he's been MIA for a few days. Oh well.Enrique wrote:Yeahh that mechanic didn't quite pay off
