I'm trying but unlike you I don't share his perspective since I didn't like his initial post (sig's). It felt forced so I understand where MP is coming from and why he asked him that. I'd like to know why he found MP's post bad.

First I think we played a few games here and there on TS, but we weren't active in them at the same time.

I found it bad that MP called me out for giving meta information on a player that nobody else knew anything about. Like why wouldn't I offer this information unprompted? Especially when it might not be common knowledge that we're from the same site.

Well, it looked more like a 'no you' post after he called you out. About your initial post, it was more the tone of it than the information shared that rubbed me wrong. I appreciate the info given but it felt like you were over excited to talk about it. Forced. A premeditated post. Something baddies often do to appear helpful.

so first 2 real scum-hunting posts from nova were D1 accusations on sig with the general theme of "feeling forced". He literally used the word forced 3 times, once in each post, on 3 different occasions and different days. I don't know if I see what he saw, considering I initially took sig's side of the argument here, but I feel like nova sincerely felt that nova felt that, and he was consistent in his suspicion so I'm going to say +1 for this look (going down his posts, he's used the forced argument even more later on sig).


he gave some uninspiring reads on 3 people who were voting for him (TH, MacDougall, sig) after being promoted by Sloonei to give reads on people who had votes on him. He called NIA on TH because he doesn't know them or recall their posts, but read Town on Mac and scum on sig, without really having any focus itt on anyone but sig at that point. He gave reasons on why he read Mac as town, so I can't hold it against him.

One thing that bothers me about sig is all that conflict with dom and he's voting Nova and I don't really understand why.

He gave reasons. Mostly a meta-read on me, that I usually coast as scum on another forum, and him not liking the other (Dunya and Epi iirc) wagons.

However, he admitted to his vote being a forced one. He earlier also had an opposite meta-read on me, that I'm adhering to my Town meta by being quiet.

He answers Golden's post on sig with some clarification that sig did give reasons.
What I find funny in all this is that I have a completely different meta on nova than sig. Town nova is far more engaged itt than scum nova. I've seen it on NF and here. I've even been on a scum team with him in Image Mafia. He lays very, very low. All this noise from nova on D1 doesn't add up to the scum nova I know tbh. It's more in tune with town nova I've seen on NF. He was an inactive scum on another game on here (I don't recall which). The only time I've played with Town nova on NF, he was vocal. I hate doing activity based metas because they can be misrepresented (a low laying scum meta can be switched by an active scum). I just wouldn't say I agreed with sig's reasons either, so I'm not surprised nova got worked up about it.

Read Golden's case against me on the last page, and his posts that followed the lynch, and ask yourself, "Does this [the case against Colin] make any sense?"

I quite like this. This is a pretty hard push against Colin on D2. We're saying nova and Colin are teammates. Colin had a pretty important scum role, so I feel like if they were going to bus someone on D2, it wouldn't have been Colin. They could have gone in another direction. I mean he has 5 shots and it was Day 2. He had 3 roleblocking and 1 killing shot and 1 demipower shot. That's significant. Scum team would have done more to protect him.

Later in the game if I use my ability, I message JimJammyJay about it, correct?

I don't love this. But I don't hate it completely either because I can see why someone would be suspicious of being taken on a ride. I think wolbre is new here and was asking a genuine question. It could be he was town and trying to appear town intentionally by playing this "I don't have BTSC to be schooled", but yea, I've also seen new players play the dumb card a lot. I've seen old players play the dumb card w/r/t game mechanics and rules before too. I will say wolbre's question is NAI to me at all, but I can't help feel a bit weary of nova's tone here. Whatever his intentions were they weren't to paint wolbre in a good light. I'd have called this NAI and moved on and asked people not to pay attention to little quips like that because they could flip either way without any real basis.

It's not more likely to get scrutinized since the consequences are less important. You weren't trying to hold someone different up to a light since at the time of your vote that lynch wasn't going anywhere. You completely avoided participating in who gets lynched even though you had a choice between 3 people. Or did you read the 3 of us as Town ?

Also, what is your post trying to do here ? Are you using hypotheticals of what is scummier to defend yourself ?

there's a ton more posts against colin. nova was really all up in his face. There's still no way I think scum nova decided early on that a day 2 lynch of Colin was their best option. He was way more valuable alive than a buss target.

(ref: Choutas). to quote nova, at this point, I feel both those namedrops were "forced" here and he looked around for justification.

I cant say I can call him bad based on his suspicions, but I think it's weak reasoning that was amplified with Marmot's push. You ask me why you would kill players who scumread you and why you would kill players who townread you. Um, you have to kill someone right? And you wouldn't kill players for the same reason every single night. And you also have teammates who would factor in to all of these decisions, so any team nightkill would not be unilateral.

Epignosis was killed Night 1. He was almost lynched Day 1, while another civilian was lynched in his stead. The best reason I can think of for that happening is someone wanting to eliminate Epignosis's voice from the game.

That's the basis of it yes. but I view Epignosis differently than most players because of his generally strong townie intuition, and anyway there's more to the situation than that. He seemingly did next to jack shit Day 1, and was almost lynched for it. Then he was nightkilled. That chain of events is what strikes me as uncanny.

I know it's only a small part of this whole game, and it's not really something you can defend against. But it's something I noticed, and I'm going to talk about it.

I was just talking about my meta. I think killing Epi was a dumb move. Then again, I rarely understand why the mafia kills who they do. Last time I asked a scum team after the fact, Epi said his kill choices were basically to mess with me.

See, I like this for two reasons.

1) Scum covers up this plan under the "Epi is scary" clause.

2) Wolbre isn't standard Syndicate and Speedchuck thinks like me in a lot of ways.

If those two were mafia together, the scum kill on N1 makes a lot of sense.

I also GTH scum read him. when we played GTH and we all scum read him (except TH...he managed to put him in the 3p category LOL ), I said we're probably all wrong and he's actually 3p since no one can town read him, but we all feel something bad about him.

honestly, I came in and found I had 2 votes on me (Quin and you), Jack had 2 on him iirc, and then all of a sudden marmot had a lot and then marmot became a stub and me and Jack were 1 vote each to be lynched with like 10 mins left and no one was moving off Marmot who couldn't be lynched anymore. I wasn't really thinking about likelihood of Quin being 3p instead of scum at that point, and nor did I have time to weigh pros and cons of him being lynched yesterday: I was thinking of likelihood I'm town (100%) and I want to save my ass by lynching someone in my bottom 3 at the time and someone who everyone who participated in GTH read him as anti-town. That's significant. That was enough for me. Quin was uninspiring and unhelpful all game. I'm surprised he only chose Persia last phase, he's been playing mostly anti-town since the beginning by being evasive and holding back. When he was getting lynched, he reminded me exactly of FE Quin too with the snark and carelessness towards the matter. I felt good about my vote. I don't regret it. I wish we had more time after your revelation, maybe, but I think we made the best lynch in the time available with the people present.
