You didn't say he was wrong.
I've a concern.dunya wrote: ↑Sat May 19, 2018 4:34 am i think spacedaisy is scum and here's why: she's defending every post she makes with really wordy and thought-out explanations. it just feels like someone trying to justify every move and show people why she is doing what she's doing and why she's civ, like she has to. i do that sometimes when i'm scum (justifying my actions before i have to or immediately when someone asks me something about it). i don't do it as a civ because my thoughts don't need justification.
Surely there's a vig out there that can help you out.Kites wrote: ↑Sat May 19, 2018 12:45 ami need to die n1 and i am just incapable of posting solid content and being a threat to mafia in the early game + the odds of me being nightkilled next night in a game this big are so small Im simply just asking for it. and yeah i gain sort of an ability, it’s not a win con cos im a civ. It doesn’t harm my attacker either because i would keep this whole thing a secret thenSpacedaisy wrote: ↑Fri May 18, 2018 8:00 pm I am troubled by kites asking to be NKed. If Kites were civ, this seems less likely to be a civ power. Most civs who need to die are a village idiot type role where they need to get lynched to activate some ability or win con or whatever.
If I were civ, I would town it up if I were Kites and try to draw the baddie kill that way, instead of asking for it. Asking for it makes the baddies less likely to kill them, because why make a civ (or even a possible opposing mafia team member) more powerful?
@Kites can you tell me why you went about it this way please?
What do you think of doing Kites? That request doesn't strike me as something that would come from a baddie.Jackofhearts2005 wrote: ↑Thu May 17, 2018 10:57 amIn a heartbeat. Do you doubt me?

At first glance, I thought this observation was agreeable. The reason why: Spacedaisy's previous post at this point had been a large paragraph which may have overstayed its welcome. However, given Daisy's staunch opposition to this assertion, I went back and looked at her posts.
I don't see any other examples of this before you made this accusation. I see the one post. It appears you went back and dug too, and you came up with two entirely different posts which to my eye do not measure up to the accusation you originally leveled. You had to stretch it to get those red-colored words to fit the narrative.
This looks like an attempt by you to justify your accusation rather than to qualify or critically examine it -- not ideal.
I believe that you listen to your gut.
1. i thought about it, and i decided the guy with the townie town role who speculates about roles going to alignments that suit them and making a ton of noise about it and arguing with me for pages on it isn't scum.JaggedJimmyJay wrote: ↑Sat May 19, 2018 9:48 am dunya, it's unclear to me why your read on Golden has reversed. Not caught up but as I read, I agree with the bolded/underlined part. In fact, I was going to post this myself. I think being defensive is a sign of being mafia.dunya wrote: ↑Sat May 19, 2018 4:34 am so i read up. here's where my new head is at:
Golden is civ tinfoiling cos I flipped scum and he doesn't deal with people giving him emotion to his robotic voice well. actually, the reason I discredit Golden from being scum is that he's playing a pretty lousy scumgame to not ping me if he was scum. he's just so focused on me, it's uncanny. does he usually tunnel like this? he says i want him off my back to get rid of the heat: nah. idc. I'd feel differently if I was scum, but since this is a case of omgussing that turned into "she said he said", i'm gonna give him a civ-read or at the most he's s/a.

First of all, I only said I wasn't reading all of Day 0. Second, I talk about how crazy long the thread is as a civ or a baddie. You are just afraid of me because I am a good baddie. My record of winning as a baddie proves that. This doesn't make it right for people to automatically assume I am bad. Give me the benefit of the doubt, man. The game just began. What specifically have I done that makes you think I am bad already? (Oh, and I don't lurk. I leave up the tab to the thread at all times.)dunya wrote: ↑Sat May 19, 2018 4:41 am and i still think eloh is bad. if scotty is going to lynch non-contributors, i'd like to see a lynch eloh movement too cos she self-admits she won't read the thread. she's done this several times as a baddie and while i love eloh like the stars love the moon, i don't wanna be outplayed by a lurky eloh who makes the same self-justification of not knowing what's happening and that we post too much and she can't keep up.![]()
but the difference is that i didn't like her reaction to my read. it was again too defensive and slightly aggressive i believe.JaggedJimmyJay wrote: ↑Sat May 19, 2018 9:51 amI believe that you listen to your gut.
However, when you checked the thread content against what your gut was telling you, you produced something that doesn't cut it (your expansion on your suspicion of Daisy). I did the exact same thing you did and came to a very different conclusion.

so? her reaction made me dig deeper. i made some observations to make it clear what i was seeing and asked her questions. i didn't reach the same conclusion as you after my observations, clearly and that's fine with me.JaggedJimmyJay wrote: ↑Sat May 19, 2018 10:02 amWhen you expanded on your original suspicion you weren’t talking about her reaction.dunya wrote: ↑Sat May 19, 2018 9:57 ambut the difference is that i didn't like her reaction to my read. it was again too defensive and slightly aggressive i believe.JaggedJimmyJay wrote: ↑Sat May 19, 2018 9:51 amI believe that you listen to your gut.

You think a baddie would be more likely to be passionate and call people out?Lunalee wrote: ↑Fri May 18, 2018 9:10 pmJust the passionate responses, and calling people out. But maybe she's being dunya.

she misrepresented what i said because she misunderstood my read on her. i don't think an intentional misrepresentation even from scum daisy would be smart, or even necessary, at this point. but i felt like a civ daisy wouldn't react the way she did after someone just voices suspicion of her.JaggedJimmyJay wrote: ↑Sat May 19, 2018 10:16 am dunya, did Daisy misrepresent you or misunderstand you?

That sounds like my scum meta tbh.Spacedaisy wrote: ↑Sat May 19, 2018 12:56 amLook as dunya was talking about Golden and Jay and assigning purpose and emotions to their posts, I was thinking, I don't play that way as mafia. I doubt many of us actually do. When I am mafia, I play to emulate my town meta as much as possible. If I see something suspect, I won't ignore it. I killed it in Lost Again: Season 2, and in that game Sorsha's early play was super baddie looking imo, and I coudln't ignore it. I was one of the few that called her on it early. Not because I was trying to bus a teammate but because, when my gut says something about someone's play I say what I'm thinking. It's what killed me in Fiddler, I came in hard playing my gut, without realizing the team I came onto set Jay up to look bad. I wasnt even told until late in the day. So here I was playing like my town self and it got me killed later. I don't phrase things with the purpose of framing someone's intent in a certain light, or with a certain emotion attached or to get a certain emotional response. So when I say town tit up, I mean that I would post like crazy and scum hunt hard for better or worse. Call out shit that I see. That is how I play, regardless of alignment. And I would turn that up a notch even if I was looking to get NKed to activate a power on N1. I would be shaking every tree I could think of and generating as much discussion as I could. Maybe it is a light switch, I don't know. I feel like I rarely get lynched as a abddie for any real baddie tell, usually it's something people interpret badly that I would have said either as a civ or as a baddie. Or else it's PoE.![]()
