i think spacedaisy is scum and here's why: she's defending every post she makes with really wordy and thought-out explanations. it just feels like someone trying to justify every move and show people why she is doing what she's doing and why she's civ, like she has to. i do that sometimes when i'm scum (justifying my actions before i have to or immediately when someone asks me something about it). i don't do it as a civ because my thoughts don't need justification.

I am troubled by kites asking to be NKed. If Kites were civ, this seems less likely to be a civ power. Most civs who need to die are a village idiot type role where they need to get lynched to activate some ability or win con or whatever.

If I were civ, I would town it up if I were Kites and try to draw the baddie kill that way, instead of asking for it. Asking for it makes the baddies less likely to kill them, because why make a civ (or even a possible opposing mafia team member) more powerful?

@Kites can you tell me why you went about it this way please?

i need to die n1 and i am just incapable of posting solid content and being a threat to mafia in the early game + the odds of me being nightkilled next night in a game this big are so small Im simply just asking for it. and yeah i gain sort of an ability, it’s not a win con cos im a civ. However, when you checked the thread content against what your gut was telling you, you produced something that doesn't cut it (your expansion on your suspicion of Daisy). I did the exact same thing you did and came to a very different conclusion.

1. i thought about it, and i decided the guy with the townie town role who speculates about roles going to alignments that suit them and making a ton of noise about it and arguing with me for pages on it isn't scum.
2. he has been tunneling me like stupid. sorry, golden. i think golden is a pretty smart player, his civ play in ancient greece was great. his intuition really spot on most times (sorry sig). the game just ended and i was revealed scum...lingering suspicion transferred onto me here was expected.
3. do i believe a scum golden would literally focus on me and only me for all of day 0 and day 1? scum golden knows there's 2 scum teams, 3ps, 2 civ factions even...but he wants to get into a fist fight with me, looking like complete omgussing because his case all revolved around what you came in with. he didn't have a case on me before that. the whole "projecting" and "narrating" the thread came after i voiced suspicion on him, and you voiced suspicion on me. it's so fake and bad, i sincerely believe now it's tinfoil.
4. golden could be 3p. i'm not ruling that out, but i'm not bothered by them because i don't know their win cons and having 3ps is also a threat to scum teams...so let them be there.

again, it's just intuition. if golden is a notoriously bad scum player, i could be swayed out of my town read on him.

Golden is civ tinfoiling cos I flipped scum and he doesn't deal with people giving him emotion to his robotic voice well. actually, the reason I discredit Golden from being scum is that he's playing a pretty lousy scumgame to not ping me if he was scum. he's just so focused on me, it's uncanny. does he usually tunnel like this? he says i want him off my back to get rid of the heat: nah. idc. I'd feel differently if I was scum, but since this is a case of omgussing that turned into "she said he said", i'm gonna give him a civ-read or at the most he's s/a.

Not caught up but as I read, I agree with the bolded/underlined part. In fact, I was going to post this myself. I think being defensive is a sign of being mafia.

and i still think eloh is bad. if scotty is going to lynch non-contributors, i'd like to see a lynch eloh movement too cos she self-admits she won't read the thread. she's done this several times as a baddie and while i love eloh like the stars love the moon, i don't wanna be outplayed by a lurky eloh who makes the same self-justification of not knowing what's happening and that we post too much and she can't keep up.

First of all, I only said I wasn't reading all of Day 0. Second, I talk about how crazy long the thread is as a civ or a baddie. You are just afraid of me because I am a good baddie. My record of winning as a baddie proves that. This doesn't make it right for people to automatically assume I am bad. Give me the benefit of the doubt, man. The game just began. my initial gut read was she's adding on something like a disclaimer or extra superfluous reasoning to her opinions.

her reply was: "I have not once defended myself being civ except for laughing at the post regarding a wording I used."

I didn't say that she explicitely defended herself, I said she's defending herself through extra words basically without being triggered for a defence. she clearly misunderstood me since she cites her 1 example of defending herself for being civ (when nutella noticed the irony in something she posted). that wasn't what i was referencing, and I told her that it wasn't and her next reply is a more aggressive debunking of my thoughts without really asking me what I was seeing.

"dunya don't try to bullshit semantics with me, that is what you were saying. You can couch it as if you were just saying I'm defending my posts, but you went right on to say that I was doing it like I had to have thought out reasons to defend what I was saying like I was trying show why I was civ. Same ducking thing and still bullsuit. Anyone can look at my ISO and see there isn't truth to it."

that seems defensive to me without taking the time to address my issues or even respond in a way that could sway me. quin mentioned the argument reminded him of another game where someone else made a similar argument on daisy, and i'm waiting to see that too.

Dear Diary,

Last night went well. Even though I was only successful once, it was a success that had people scrambling for a keepsake, and it was enough to buy us some much needed insurance at a critical point. Hopefully we keep the momentum going today.

I've been meaning to write about this, but I've been so busy here in San Francisco. People have asked me what I think about DJ being in the lead for a time before he went down, and of course I smile and give them the platitudes I'm expected to give, that it was a group decision and what have you. The truth is, it wasn't, and I don't think things went as well during that shift.

The thing is, I believe in sitting back and letting everyone have their say before I jump in with my perspective. The problem with that is people tend to get so worked up in the debate that they don't listen to what I have to say, and I end up being an afterthought. It's frustrating, but I guess I'm not very assertive and tend to goof off and not be taken seriously. What can I say? I guess I'm on like a third-grade personality level. What I should have said was- and I'm going to underline this for emphasis- I should be in the lead today.

I hope this isn't coming across as prideful, but we're just a much more effective unit when I'm in the lead at the start. This is not to say anything against DJ- I love him. He's great. I hope he recovers soon. But I should be in the lead. Good things happen.

Look as dunya was talking about Golden and Jay and assigning purpose and emotions to their posts, I was thinking, I don't play that way as mafia. I doubt many of us actually do. When I am mafia, I play to emulate my town meta as much as possible. If I see something suspect, I won't ignore it. I killed it in Lost Again: Season 2, and in that game Sorsha's early play was super baddie looking imo, and I coudln't ignore it. I was one of the few that called her on it early. Not because I was trying to bus a teammate but because, when my gut says something about someone's play I say what I'm thinking. It's what killed me in Fiddler, I came in hard playing my gut, without realizing the team I came onto set Jay up to look bad. I wasnt even told until late in the day. So here I was playing like my town self and it got me killed later. I don't phrase things with the purpose of framing someone's intent in a certain light, or with a certain emotion attached or to get a certain emotional response. So when I say town tit up, I mean that I would post like crazy and scum hunt hard for better or worse. Call out shit that I see. That is how I play, regardless of alignment. And I would turn that up a notch even if I was looking to get NKed to activate a power on N1. I would be shaking every tree I could think of and generating as much discussion as I could. Maybe it is a light switch, I don't know. I feel like I rarely get lynched as a abddie for any real baddie tell, usually it's something people interpret badly that I would have said either as a civ or as a baddie. Or else it's PoE.
