UMBC didn't win, but we had two 7-seeds and two 9-seeds reach the Sweet 16 today instead.

You expect the 1-4 seeds to make the sweet 16 right? Only one of the eight teams to advance today was a 1-4 seed. Good stuff. :beer:

Here's a cool article by 538 where they empirically show that this year's Sweet 16 is even stranger than the average March Madness. :nicenod:

Little Caesars is giving away free lunch combos today. They promised free pizza if a #16 seed knocked out a #1 seed in the men's tournament this year. You have to place your order and pick up between 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. local time.

I bet their insurance company hates them right now.

I didn't watch any of the tournament after UB was eliminated until the championship game tonight. It was exciting, overtime always is. I was rooting for Texas Tech so I could at least say my school lost to the eventual champion.

Their last possession in regulation was kind of botched, and that opened the door for Virginia to dominate overtime.
