what does dunya.exe mean?

how do you know these things about me?
Didn't you have the highest winrate in the site for a bit?

Dunya.exe meant like sorta falling back onto basic playing mafia stuff. Like look at this conflict. eval this thing and say results. eval that thing and say results. say input into this conflict. dump reads here. without having the sort of typical random tangents and little pokings.
will note that you stopped doing dunya.exe like around eod1

 you bet your ass i did. i don't like to lose. not at all.

and okay, that's fair. i was in three games at once, both of which started before this one, so my priorities were elsewhere tbh.

Hi, I don't think this is a fair categorization at all, and I've tried to address the "No" thing earlier and just want to make sure you've seen that. I do not know where else you feel that I've been uncooperative. As for me not explaining my read on Marcher, well I don't think that's true at all. For starters, here's an early ISO. The posts I've made about solving marcher since that point are too numerous to cite here. Some of them are on this very page.

I need to leave for work soon.

I'm not opposed to voting for wilgy and that's where I'm currently sitting. I am open to a Marcher vote at this point and have laid out several concerns I have about them. I'd like them to respond, though I don't know if I'll be able to properly read and assess anything that happens later today. outed wolf is also still on the table for me but (stop me if you've heard this one before) that doesn't seem to be going anywhere.

when I was talking about soneji, you brought up a few points of contention you had about it then mentioned you'd missed his posts. I suggested you read his iso since it was only 3 posts long, potentially wolfy, and we were discussing the slot. You were pretty dismissive and refused for reasons i don't understand at all if you're trying to solve the game.

you've re-evaluated on marcher now, on day 3. after i've been shouting into the wind, being mostly ignored, for how long.

those are just examples off the top of my head, but it has been a very clear impression that I've gotten from you. It is especially annoying because you ask a bazillion questions about every little thing and I've politely obliged for the most part, from what I remember. But when I make the smallest question or request, it's like you can't be arsed to respond to a mere mortal such as i

But when I make the smallest question or request, it's like you can't be arsed to respond to a mere mortal such as i
The early interaction was me being difficult on purpose. I was trying to get reactions. I apologize for that. It was a game thing, definitely not a personal thing.

I brought up one point about soneji's meta, not "a few points of contention." I felt like your tone was demanding when you told me to ISO him, so I responded in turn. I was reciprocating the energy you seemed to be giving off to me. I was probably cranky and apologize again.

I've been evaluating Marcher all game long. Just because we've had different reads doesn't mean I was ignoring you.

Being told repeatedly that I'm annoying and having you chastise people for not seeing the game the way that you do is also not particularly encouraging. I say these things from a gameplay perspective, not meaning to get personal again. But if you want more positive responses to your mere mortal requests, perhaps try stating them more nicely.

This post suggests that Turnup was an established wagon at the time Marcher decided they were the scummiest player in the game.
Sloonei wrote: Thu Jul 02, 2020 2:40 pm Even factoring in that Marcher allegedly ISO'd turnip head, I struggle to just accept this pattern of events.

Turnip Head is an established wagon midday. Marcher ISOs them, comes to the conclusion that they are "underwhelming" and places them at the far bottom of their reads list. Said reads list is predominantly null (18 reads total. 9 are "null". That's exactly half, for those scoring at home). Turnip Head is one of two "wolfleans" because they are "hella underwhelming." In a game where Marcher perceives half the player list as "null", how on earth does "hella underwhelming" qualify as a firm suspicion? Why are players like Mac, nanook, and soneji not also "wolfleans" if that's all it takes?
Yeah, this makes me feel pretty good about just yeeting jovian today.

bronana wrote: Thu Jul 02, 2020 2:53 pm Despite how the game has gone so far, I think we may actually be reasonably close to a solve. Starting to feel like one of those games where the village implodes for a few days then turns it around.

Ordering is just alphabetical unless otherwise noted. Excluding myself.

I think these are villagers, though I don't feel super confident about it:
Spoiler: show
Lissa - constant mindmelding, villagy sass. can understand ow's concerns to some degree.

KZA - part radishes sheep, part think he's just been comfortable doing his thing in his corner.

NANOOKTHEGREATANDFEARSOME - kinda similar to kza read. also the n1 triumvirate thing.

The above three have also fairly consistently pushed some of my strongest wolfreads. If those are wrong, I'd want to re-evaluate these people.
----

This next group are some of the most active. I'm a little skeptical, but it could just be paranoia and most are likely villagers:
Spoiler: show
Carotenoid - disliked their d1. d2 was villagy. not crazy about d3.

dunya - at some points i've felt they were tonally pure, but she's also a bit underwhelming imo. also the n1 triumvirate thing.

moth - he probably does not go so out of his way to be a dick to me for no reason as wolf. i liked the TSP thing even if it was clearly fake. been pretty UTR the last few days though.

nutella - top poster, most people seem to townread her, apparently is some sort of (somewhat) verifiable PR. still didn't die n2 and tbh her posts still just look wolfy to me but shrug.

outed wolf - liked his recent postings while i was asleep. it's hard to give a firm townread here with how he's played, but I think it would be a bit strange if he played like this as a wolf. and some of the votes/pushes for him have felt opportunistic, and ffs don't ask me to pull up a bunch of specific examples.

Sloonei - seems to be solving, sometimes his tone seems a bit off and i disagree with a lot of what he's saying and he's been pretty dismissive a lot of the time. could be powerwolfing, could be a villager with a difference of opinion.
----

Null, essentially:
Spoiler: show
Long Con - some weird posts, have no real thoughts on him tho

MacDougall - don't understand why he became so townread. him repping the same static lissa read the entire game is sketchy and a lot of his posts just seem like random crap. not much solving here.

motobot - how am i supposed to read an 8 year old who barely posts lol. maybe not a wolf if wilgy or OW are?
----

Possibly a wolf not getting enough attention:
Spoiler: show
Soneji / cayvie - didn't care for soneji's few posts. cayvie's posts are meh.
----

I think these are wolves:
Spoiler: show
DrWilgy - for the first few days he only cared about the game at eod which is >rand wolf in my experience. hollow questions. counter-wagon to two misyeets. wolves for some reason seem largely uninterested in voting him.

TonyStarkPrime - had bad vibes here on d1, and backed off mostly out of respect to radishes, but also because some of the pushes on TSP skeeved me out a bit (I remember feeling like he was being propped up as a way to avoid yeeting marcher or wilgy). That said, his posts aren't villagy - wolfy, even! - and now multiple people have chimed in that he is lacking compared to previous towngames.

Marcher Jovian - consistently posts with a wolfy pov. d0+d1 was very similar to recent wolf game and different to recent town game. posts d2 on have been straight up wolfy. i have made plenty of posts about this already, tired of repeating myself. Marcher's placement is not alphabetical.
oh hey we are.... largely on the same page now I think

Carotenoid wrote: Mon Jun 29, 2020 10:54 am @Marcher Jovian what are your thoughts on nutella, Turnip Head, Sloonei and Soneji?
nutella—her pushes have felt kinda sketch, like opportunistic and ill-founded. but pushing on the maybe they’re masons thing shows like that extra degree of thinking and uncertainty about the game. Need to think whether it’s good enough to give her space and not vote her today
Turnip Head—I remember not enough about this person. They confidently pushed MR yesterday based on meta reads. People with meta on TH, how confident/brazen are they as a wolf? A bit of a wagon earlier today, tedxtr liked the iso. I ought to check this iso
Sloonei—this post summed up my thoughts, http://www.mafiathesyndicate.com/viewto ... ya#p620996 . Wagon comp looks kinda weird. Probably falls under “player good enough they ought to get another day to give them a chance to clear themselves”
Soneji—Posted very little. The few posts they’ve made have been underwhelming. [insert thoughts that are illegal in MU but I don’t know the exact etiquette about on Syndicate]
A couple hours later, Marcher provides this list:
Marcher Jovian wrote: Mon Jun 29, 2020 2:22 pm town

townlean
bronana
kza
moth
nanook
nutella
tedxtr

null
drwilgy
dunya
Long Con
MacDougall
motobot
outed wolf
Sloonei
Soneji
TonyStarkPrime

wolflean
lissa
TurnipHead
Exactly half of Marcher's reads fall under the "null" heading, but Turnip Head is not one of them; instead, TH is at the very bottom of this list as a "wolflean" along with lissa and nobody else. I do not know what exactly the wagon composition was at this moment (that's my next assignment), but this is, at best, a puzzling look for Marcher.
Someone blatantly pushed a misyeet, then shut up and stayed under-the-radar posting essentially nothing of consequence the whole next day. I know that they might have been a bit deflated after the last day, but in my experience those sorts of people tend to eventually bounce back and engage with the thread pretty soon, especially with a bit of pressure. The person who does the wolfy thing is often a wolf.

TH didn't claim doctor. They made a weird, ambiguous statement that if you look at it and think about it for a while, you could eventually realize it's a doctor claim. Why that ambiguity. Why make such a weird soft when you're 10 minutes from being banished and just hard claiming "I'm a doctor" would work much better at actually doing what you presumably want and getting people off of your wagon?

Give him time to sort himself; if he's scum I think it'll become more apparent as the game goes on.
These are the final words I see from Radishes on KZA. I do not read this as a ringing endorsement and would absolutely not clear KZA based on this.

not that i anticipate any sort of KZA push today. But for future reference.

the fact that wilgy was not on TH's wagon can either be because TH claimed doctor (duh) or tmi. i feel like scum who don't vote in selfpres often get some kind of emotional pass subconsciously we think, a scum would always self pres.

it's a lot of wifom but yea

i felt a lot more emotion in dr wilgy's posts than usual fwiw. i'm not sure if it's alignment indicative for him tbh.. i don't think in all my time here i've actually played with an active wilgy lmao.

from the people actually on turnips wagon, i feel least great about KZA and marcher i guess.

DrWilgy is probably being defended by mafia. No one's really defending him and no one outwardly cares whether he lives or dies. It's all been circumstancial. If we just wanted to turn around and go "Let's yeet Wilgy today" and enough people agree it's gonna happen. The one qualm I have is looking at the wagons, it's Wilgy vs. Radishes (vs. Carote) d1, and it's Wilgy vs. Turnip d2. If you're mafia and you get to pick the winner, it still doesn't rule out Wilgy LHF because mafia wants Radishes dead before he can ramp up and if they're behind yeet Turnip they probably believed the claim.

Maybe I'm just overthinking things and should just sheep Ted's thoughts and vote Wilgy.

Because if someone is a doctor, then they know they have a get-out-of-banishment-free card. TH perspective slipped when they said that we were going to be surprised when we flipped because if they were a doctor, they would have known they could have gotten out of it.

TH literally claimed doctor and people were still on their wagon. what does that tell you about people on TH's wagon?
TH didn't claim doctor. They made a weird, ambiguous statement that if you look at it and think about it for a while, you could eventually realize it's a doctor claim. Why that ambiguity. Why make such a weird soft when you're 10 minutes from being banished and just hard claiming "I'm a doctor" would work much better at actually doing what you presumably want and getting people off of your wagon?
I didn't think it was ambiguous. There's no way "90% similar to radishes' role" doesn't mean doctor in some form.

tbh when I was evaling I'd thought it might have been your role, stopping the day banish as a counterpart to stopping the night banish

its entirely possible to have different threads of thoughts going about the same player that don't always add up to a pretty picture

the real answer is what exactly is my agenda surrounding MJ, because it is very simple: I disliked their posting, i then encountered/realised possible reasons why i was wrong, i haven't been able to make up my mind about them so i just push them to the side. i haven't interacted seriously with MJ for days, i don't really know how to solve that slot and am simply trusting Zack's wolf read on them

i'm not trying to save or condemn MJ with my posting, i'm just being hands off
not inherently, no

suppose it was more implied than explicit that it was the more specific nature of the disconnect that bothered me

but yes, i've also had thoughts to the effect of "but what are you actually doing there if you are a wolf" which i believe i have talked about and i think am more so starting to lean that way
