Kthx
if i ask why you’re so sure tony is town, would that be a fruitful endeavor or nah?
Probably not tbh
He just...he seems the same as past games we’ve played together, including ones where I very quickly and correctly called him town. Idk. He just has a feel, idk how to explain it

Who else. Tutuu maybe wolfy. Still no take on Ted, but do I ever have a take on ted? No vibes from poison. I think Vul and Nanook are both bleeding town, then hally probably.
why is tutuu wolfy?
I dunno. Feels different? Maybe I’m wrong, Tutuu was doing math and that’s cool.
different how?
too early to tell Id say
but you just said she’s different, so clearly it’s not too early for you to say

have you seen him as mafia ever?
I’ve done my research yeah
Also not sure why the “have you seen him mafia?” caveat applies to TSP but not tutu?

I feel like I talk about myself way more than necessary, sorry for that.
Can someone with Hally paranoia explain to me why Hally could be mafia? They are quickly approaching the town leader position and their reads/votes are openly being sheeped now with nearly no hesitation, so I'd like to address these concerns with Hally scumreaders before we allow Hally to run amok.
in the finale I read their posts on D1 and I was like 'this is incredibly townie, Hally is just town'
in fact, Hally was not a member of the town
this makes me think that 'Hally is super townie' is not indicative of Hally actually being town
given that you were expressing a similar sentiment I'm not sure why you're confused?

on page 8, going to take a break and catch up later
could vulgard be any more obviously scum?
112 is probably town for how they expressed this take + their general willingness to go against one of the most widely TR'd players as if it were self-evident
this read is definitely not a product of my own doubts about Vul
what are your doubts about vul?
when Vul is a villager, he's usually a shining beacon of towniness such that I can basically just open his posts and start scrolling them like 'this post was written by a villager, this post was written by a villager, this post was written by a villager...' and I can't really do that here
also his posts are excessively formal in a way that's not consistent with how he normally writes, which makes me think they might be fabricated and he's trying to make them sound more ?legitimate? or something. not weighting this one nearly as much as the 'his posts were not written by a villager' thing because I know English isn't his first language, and also he's an English major, which could maybe explain it
So, @Arete, I had asked Vulgard if he is a leader as town or not, he said he would not want to be one this game. What do you think he has done in regards of that so far and does he take the leading position as both town and scum?
I'd say that he tends to end up leader-ish on our homesite regardless of his alignment
although a lot of that is that he's better than most people on our homesite and I think that's less applicable here

dunno. why is that important?
Cause you’re using it to discredit my TSP read, but don’t care about it wrt my tutu read. If I can read tutu town with less information about her mafia play, there’s no particular reason to think I wouldn’t be able to read TSP town with more information about his mafia play
Besides anything else, Hally has clearly stated she thinks tutuu is just being her regular town self. So not only is Tony deflecting, he's deflecting with a question he should already know the answer to.

tell me more
His tone is incredibly forced/stilted and he keeps repeating his cases in a way that makes me think he's trying to mimic a proper progression on people.
re: tone i think he just writes like that
i don’t understand what you mean by the bolded
By the bolded I mean that he keeps bringing things up that he's already said before, such as that he doesn't like the posters who claimed maf. It seems like he's trying to write every read he has out to such a detailed extent that nobody can question the work he's put in/the quality of his thoughts, but it just comes out looking like he's trying very hard to remember the reasons he's scumread peope--something that town don't have to do because they've already internalized their opinions.
this feels chainsaw-y.
how?
112 is going after Vulgard for his cases, particularly parts where it's claimed that he's repeated ideas that others have stated. But generally I think this is inaccurate. Vulgard seems to be in some ways the least conventional person in the game, he's playing it differently. Stilted, maybe. But not repetitive. Hypothesis then, there's a common case that Vulgard has picked up on that implicates a partner of 112. 112 seeks to discredit this general case by discrediting Vulgard.
Feels weak tbh but it's something. If like Tutuu is scum I think that'd be a strong association
this read feels weird to me
I'm pretty sure it's a misstatement of 112's case (like, 112's case revolved mostly around Vul repeating his own posts) and separately I feel like rushing to conclude it's a chainsaw is a bit of a stretch, like, what you're saying as far as I can tell is '112 is attacking Vul for making reads in a wolfy way, therefore she's chainsawing' but ... making reads based on how other people make their reads is a common and normal thing ...
like it feels weird to call something a chainsaw when you can't even say who the partner being defended is, just, 'someone he scumread'

tbh my personality isn’t really suited to being in a leadership role because im too changeable and not strong enough in my reads. i do better when i have a player like mac itg and can be in more of a robin role as opposed to batman

i do see what some people are saying about poison (dunya and vul i think) that she maybe isn’t giving many concrete takes? but i know she absolutely hates being mafia so i find her engagement here to be town indicative. i think she’d come off flatter and post less as scum. not gonna lock it in because concerns are noted but i feel good about her
lc seems like town!lc to me. caveat us he said he would play differently from last game if he randed scum again. w/e. still a town lean
vul/arete is pending further interactions and stuff from them but i can’t help but tr vul’s posts here even if arete says he can do them as scum. the solving and moments of doubt and everything just read very genuine to me. if arete feels strongly at EoD that vul is just mafia, i’ll have to consider that though. and for arete, i think how they’ve approached vul seems pretty natural. i don’t get the sense they’re forcing themselves to read him one way or another. i also think vul reading arete town makes them more likely town regardless of vul’s alignment. would like more content from arete though
im keeping 112/ash where they are because i cant decide what i think of them. i need to iso them and try to get more clarity. atm idk if i actually have any issues with either of them or if im just scared of not being able to read them well and sponging people who sr them. tbd

I don’t know what to make of the fact that we’re seeing the game so similarly in some ways but your strongest townreads are my scumreads. But it’s a thing.
your strongest sr’s are tutuu/nook right? i get why you could read them like you do if you don’t know them but like, idk

well i’ve never seen tutuu as scum. she hasn’t randed scum in years. but everything she’s done this game is in line with what i think of as her town self
for nook, i saw him as mafia one game. not sure i could adequately explain the difference without going back to check his iso there but basically, i think he actually cares about solving in his own nanook way. like his takes on things don’t feel fake given what i know of him idk
