we here at the Syndicate are all a bunch of extremely responsible and mature adults with vivid, dynamic social lives and certainly do not spend too much time looking at pixels on a big, black rectangle.

Re: MAD MAX [sign-ups]
I still can't believe you hold SM2 as one of your all-time favorites. The first third of that game was a design train wreck. But you didn't play the first one, so you wouldn't know how much better that one was (in my opinion). Heck, there are only a few people on The Syndicate that played in the first installment. Maybe I'll just shut up and take the praise for my legacy games while people still remember them.MovingPictures07 wrote:As I just noted in signing up for zebra's Jessica Jones game, I'm going to be pretty busy for the next month or so, but what the heck, I'm ready to re-enter the mafia arena.
And I didn't get to properly play G-Man's Red vs Blue, so this will be my first G-Man game since Secret Mafia 2, which is still one of my all-time favorite games I've ever played, so it has been a long time coming.

Roles will go out tomorrow at some point. Day 0 will officially begin around 9:00 pm (EST) on Friday.

Re: MAD MAX [sign-ups]
Ha, and I just remembered that MP was one of two winners of SM2. They were a baddie team that pulled off an unlikely win as the other mafia team was overpowered but imploded in spectacular fashion. Winning in such a stunning upset would certainly be memorable, even if it is through rose-colored glasses. :P

That's exactly why. Especially since I manipulated my way to victory.G-Man wrote:Ha, and I just remembered that MP was one of two winners of SM2. Plus my teammates were a decoding and analytic MACHINE, with Tranq, Typhoony, Shinny, and Bree, if I remember correctly. Tranq and Typhoony were insane. Awesome stuff.

Re: MAD MAX [sign-ups]
I just realized I'm set to be the MoD for this game, meaning I can't play unless I solve that. Don't worry, just gimme Thursday to deal with it.

Yeah, this shouldn't be a problem. Either juliets or Daisy can take over the MoD spot.JaggedJimmyJay wrote:I just realized I'm set to be the MoD for this game, meaning I can't play unless I solve that. Don't worry, just gimme Thursday to deal with it.

Re: MAD MAX [sign-ups]
Here's the second half of my pre-game write-up while we await confirmation of the MOD situation.
“Wake up, bronze!” a voice roared, startling Gerald “G-Man” Mansfield from his slumber. In lurching awake, he lost his balance, falling backwards to the floor in his chair with a thud. Howls of laughter came from across the room. Gerald stood up and glared at the prisoners.
“Think you’re funny, do you?” he sneered. “Well I got news for you, skag. All your joy-riding and destruction is over. Once the judge takes a look at what we have on you, he won’t care what we do you either of you.”
“No bars can hold the Nightrider!” the man screamed.
“Yeah, yeah,” Gerald teased, “I’ve heard that already. Is your brain fried or are you just so dumb that you keep repeating yourself?”
“I am the chosen one!” the man howled. “Selected by the Toecutter to be a one-man demolition squad against the bronze and all the tyranny they stand for! Tearing up the asphalt and leaving nothing but bodies behind me. That’s who I am!”
“No,” Gerald said, crossing the room. “You are a junked-out piece of gutter trash tricked into following a lunatic around the desert. Do you really think this Toecutter cares about you? Right now I bet he’s just glad to have fewer mouths to feed now that you’re locked up.”
“You’re wrong, bronze! Toecutter cares for his followers. We either find a way back to him or he finds a way to us. Wait and see! The Toecutter is not merciful for those who mock him. No! You’ll be dragged through town to pay for your sins. And then, he’ll take your life with-“
“Shut up, you brainwashed idiot!” Gerald shouted. He had lost his cool. He knew he should rise above this goon’s rabble-rousing but he decided it would feel better to shout him down and put him in his place. “You’re nothing! Nothing to me, nothing to your Toecutter, and nothing to anyone else.”
The prisoner walked closer to the cell door with a defiant look on his face. “No, bronze. You don’t understand the-“
“I understand everything perfectly well!” Gerald fumed. He pulled out his billy club and beat it on the cell bars. “You see these bars, skag? The only reason that these aren’t the last surroundings you’ll ever see is because I believe in upholding the law. The law says you have to see the judge. Then we’ll get to kill you.” He pressed his face against the bars. “You might as well kiss you little slut here goodbye because-“
Pain exploded around Gerald’s head. What little of his mind that wasn’t focused on the pain realized he made a grave mistake. The prisoner had lunged at him and was now pulling his head through the narrow bars with all his might. His woman reached through the cell door, grabbed Gerald’s keys, and unlocked the cell. The prisoner pushed Gerald free from the cell door and beat him with the club.
“Believe me now, bronze!” the man laughed as he and his woman ran for the stairwell.
Gerald tried to get up but collapsed in a heap. Death was coming for him. The last sound he heard before losing consciousness was the Nightrider and his woman peeling out of the station in the V8 Pursuit Special.
