Out of all the NAA posts I've read in my quick ISO, this one is the most interesting.

Quite honestly it's fascinating that NAA went out of their way to @ me here. All of NAA's direct interaction with me had been for the most part unhelpful and full of attitude, this however is an attempt to be genuine with me in tow. I think this post quite heavily implies that Luck, Dolby, DoO and Ruri are not NAA's teammates. I could be reading incorrectly.

PENULTIMATE

The trainees had wandered back into town. Bored and frustrated with the simulation, they gave in to temptation and started wrecking the place. They smashed windows, broke furniture, and vandalized cars and buildings.

As Norman Bates said in Psycho, we all go a little mad sometimes. And General Jarvis was light years beyond mad at his soldiers’ behavior.

“ALRIGHT YOU COCKAMAMIE CHAOTICIANS,” THE GAME SIGHED, “EVERYONE REPORT TO THE ROOF OF THE HALLS OF JUSTICE. IT’S QUITTING TIME FOR ONE OF YOU.”

The trainees didn’t understand why the day’s elimination needed to be carried out on the roof of a tall building, but they did as they were instructed. Along the way, the continued leaving a mess in their wake.

On the roof of the Halls of Justice, the trainees found the crystal jars. They cast their votes and the jars disappeared. They were all instructed to stand on the ledge of the roof.

As they peered down, they saw the street vanish as a white hole formed several feet below them.

“TRAINEES 12 AND 13, STAY WHERE YOU ARE,” THE GAME said. “THE REST OF YOU MAY BACK AWAY FROM THE LEDGE.”

Everyone did as they were told. A breeze kicked up and a crow cawed overhead.

“SOMETHING SOMETHING VOTES,” THE GAME droned. “SOMETHING SOMETHING LET'S SORT THIS OUT.”

With that, the ledge that Trainee #12 and 13 were standing on collapsed and they both fell into the void. The remaining trainees rushed to the ledge. Below them, they saw the white void closing up but they couldn't make out who was inside it.

When the void had dissipated and the street was visible once more, they saw Trainee #13 lying awkwardly on the ground but still alive.

"Ow," they moaned.

"HA-HA! HA! HA!" chortled THE GAME.

THE GAME woke the trainees up at dawn and ordered them back onto the roof of the Halls of Justice. Once again, it commanded them all to line up on the ledge of the roof.

"TRAINEE #13," it snickered, "STAY WHERE YOU ARE. THE REST OF YOU MAY STEP AWAY FROM THE LEDGE."

"Again?" Trainee #13 cried.

"WHY NOT?" THE GAME said. With that, the ledge collapsed under Trainee 13's feet much like the evening before. Once again, the other trainees ran forward to see their fellow soldier's fate.

To their surprise, however, they saw saw Trainee #13 once again lying awkwardly on the street below.

"Ow," they moaned.

"HA-HA! HA! HA!" laughed THE GAME as the street opened up and Trainee #13 descended into the white oblivion.
