The answer: all of them, if you are a marmot.
The whole cordyceps thing is wearing out faster than the revival of zombies as an antagonistic story device did.Heiots wrote:Watching Quarantine 2 with my sister (quit after the first fifteen minutes), and proceeding to read up on rabies and parasites that alter behaviour.

I wish I had planned it, haha, but it does make the date even better than it already was.Ricochet wrote:Trivia: 8 August is Federer's birthday. Please tell me you planned this. It has to be.

Seriously like the last 10 years, everything has had fucking zombies in it.
Since I got Hulu again I started watching Metalocalypse for the first time since I was in junior high. The dark humor isnt as lost on me as it used to be. It's actually pretty funny so far, in very fucked up ways.
I'm not as familiar with the cordyceps idea as with zombies (though I tend to avoid stories with both incorporated in them). My sister was watching Wayward Pines the other day and I asked her if that wasn't similar to The Walking Dead. I suppose when you get down to the details, they're different, but it's all about the affected feeding on humans so...A Person wrote:Cordyceps is crazy as heck but I don't want to watch any more zombie films no matter how the idea is spun.
Most media get cordyceps victims wrong anyway. Like in the game The Last of Us. Those fucking infected stay alive forever and just get progressively stronger. Where in actuality, the fungus overrides the nervous system and takes the host to a very elevated area, and then when the host dies, the fungus grows an distributes more spores to start the cycle again. Infected in that game never die as a result of time or fungus growth like that. They just lose rational though and basic human instinct, and just hang out and eat stuff. They dont even need to eat people. They bent over backwards to make a zombie game without having to call them zombies and it annoys the hell out of me.Heiots wrote:

ETA: I've now moved on from reading about parasites to watching YT videos about the influence of the Illuminati in society. Fun stuff.

I think if you might of had to much citrus. I woulld have left out the lemon.Epignosis wrote:Made up a cocktail based on what we have, since I bought tequila today but we don't go grocery shopping until tomorrow.
I juiced a nectarine and shook it with tequila, lemon juice, and simple syrup. Poured it into a salt-rimmed martini glass.
It isn't very good.

My first year of PhD didn't require shit. I just went, like, once a month for conferences and dropping by my supervisor. I can't tell if "fucked up" or "why would I care". I've been busy with other stuff, anyway.MovingPictures07 wrote:FIRST YEAR OF ACCOUNTING PHD PROGRAM DONE.

It's slightly more than a whole month's wage for an assistant teacher (which I'll very likely start being this autumn), so I guess it's ok - even though that doesn't speak well of how low the teaching wages are.S~V~S wrote:Was it fair recompense?
