I have only been outside of the U.S. once (Mexico City) thus far, but it was a good trip. I really, really want to travel globally so much more, and I plan on utilizing summers thanks to my shiny professor position (when I'm finally done with schooling to get me there) to do so.Dragon D. Incredibly true.thellama73 wrote:Not all Americans are Baptists. In fact, I would venture to say that most of us are not. What MP says s true. It is a huge country, with many very different cultures. You will not get the same experience in the Deep South, Southern California, New England, the Midwest, the Pacific Northwest, Texas, New York, or Flyover Country.
That'd be badass.G-Man wrote:It would be cool if we could get together on a cruise. Then we could play the party game version of mafia.
A bunch of us on a boat drifting around the ocean for weeks, constantly suspecting and accusing one another... Sounds awesome and also like the beginning of a horror story I may have to write.MovingPictures07 wrote:That'd be badass.G-Man wrote:It would be cool if we could get together on a cruise. And we're definitely going to play the party game version in any meetup. Required.

We didn't play, though.

What are you doing on August 8th?MovingPictures07 wrote:I plan on arranging Syndicate meetups in the future, so whatever I can do to help get some of you non-USAers in for any of those, I'll consider it.

The answer: all of them, if you are a marmot.

Nowadays, I'd see it coming in the previous day, do it anyway and plan my posts in preparation for the inevitable WIFOM defense I'd have to use.

Haha I hadn't noticed that when framing the shot. The DVDs on that shelf pretty much sum me up- Lord of the Rings, Lost, MacGyver. The only thing missing is one of my 5 copies of the original Star Wars trilogy. My wife's Harry Potter DVDs are on the second shelf down, right under LotR.Golden wrote:Well-positioned Lost DVD collection, G-Man!
Hahaha! For real, tho, now peeps know why they should never take me seriously. I'm thinking of cropping that pic, and making that face my avatar.MovingPictures07 wrote:Nice pictures, Matt!![]()
Your expression in the last one accompanied with your description cracks me up; I just pictured you fervently typing on your keyboard looking like that.
