Are you new to The Syndicate's mafia crime family? If so, introduce yourself here! For all Syndicateers, this is the place to get to know your fellow family members.
Yesssssss and The Americans. Love those crazy spies. I can't wait for both those shows.
Dom, I seriously cannot believe you and LA are graduating this year. Seriously, how is that even physically possible??? You have both grown up into such great, great humans.
Illy - where are you currently at? Still across the pond? I approve of your debauchery.
Ok, this is my new favorite thread.
I am US based with 3 major UK trips this year coming up. One for graduation, a second potential one to present, and a third to go and see HARRY POTTER AND THE CURSED CHILD WITH MY BESTIE!

Also, hello, Illyria, you seem popular, which is nice, I guess?
We have way to many animals here. Bears, llamas, marmonts, and now a bird psh.
Either way welcome to TS.

I really like the game, so when I learned about the Mafia Universe website, I started playing there as well. Through that, I found this site and decided to stop by and say hi
Looking forward to meeting more of you!
Hello zexy! Have we crossed paths on MU before? I can't recall.
indiglo wrote:Hey Psitta, nice to meet you. I assume you are also owned by a parrot? Nice to meet a fellow masochist.
Hi~ Hm? I am a parrot. Does that mean I own you? I may or may not be something of a sadomasochist regardless.
Hmmm... well, you don't look like a 12 year old, female blue-fronted amazon to me. But perhaps you are her wearing a disguise. She is rather wicked at times.

Really, this is all just a glamorous game- nothing more.

Oh, interesting. What has she learned, any poetry perhaps?
EDIT: ...My late replies are not intentional, I assure you.

Heh, thanks. I can see that!

Birds are superior however. What even is a marmont? :P

Only if you define poetry very, very loosely.
She's more of a slapstick kind of gal, tbh. You know, bullying the cat and laughing about it, buzzing my father's head whenever he comes over and laughing about that, watching the Backyardigans while she squawks and dances... that kind of stuff. Super, super classy.

RYM had a Mafia board in their Off Topic forum. With them shutting their OT board down, some people who want to play Mafia will be looking for a new place to go, and *here* is one potential destination.
Skip softly, my moonbeams, for I have heard tell
That the stairs up to heaven lead straight down to hell
I go by a few different handles over the internet, I stuck to an old Character name for my profile here, you can Call me Sokoth for short, Vidiot, Crazy Klingon, I go by a lot of names. The one my mother gave me is Daniel but that's not as fun. LOL
I came here at the suggestion of SpaceDaisy, we have known each other for a long time now. We originally met through a mutual interest called Simming. This is essentially a chat room based Role Playing game if your not familiar. The genre was Star Trek. I did this for a long time starting back in 1997 on AOL, and somewhat retired around 2008 I believe it was. I've been poking around in that community still here and there, still doing things like Bulletin Board games. I've Captained my own ship, ran a few clubs, had a lot fun, met many and exciting people, and some not so much. LOL. SpaceDaisy was one of the people I really enjoyed working with the most out of all those I played with. (Not sucking up... I promise. LOL). She was a great Chief Medical Officer and an amazing Captain herself. Watching her grow in that community was a great experience.
I'm an avid gamer, build my own computers, and enjoy movies a lot. I worked in the movie theater industry for 13 years managing with United Artist Theaters, Regal Entertainment Group, and Spotlight Theaters. I came to enjoy movies far more than I did before.
I love to write, I have a very vivid and active imagination so there's always something going on up in my head. But to be honest most of what i've actually put on electronic paper has been Star Trek based. A few fantasies but generally Star Trek.
Yes. If you cannot tell I'm a Trekkie. I'm excited to be a part of your community, once I get a chance to get a grasp on what kind of activities you have here you'll likely see more of me. If you have questions I do my best to be an open and honest person within the realm of reason so your welcome to ask.
Thank you for letting me a part of what you've built.
SokothQultuq, we do have big movie aficionados. Too bad Mongoose is around so infrequently, she is really into movies if you run across her. There is also a Movie category Tinsel Town - oops, i see you've already discovered it. You're quick! There are plenty of trekkies around. I hope you have a good time here!
Hey Sokoth (Imma call you that, Vidiot sounds more like a nickname meant for me), nice to meet you.
As Daisy said, we have a fanbase and a sub-forum dedicated to movies, although in one particular thread it's mostly just me posting about obscure stuff (and zebra, when she remembers to). I do miss movietalks with Mongoose, sniff. I can't say I'm a Trekkie, although TNG was one of the main shows I used to watch on TV every Saturday with my family, when I was young.
I'm not a trekkie but have seen all of the Star Trek movies. I also grew up watching an episode of TNG here and there. Welcome Klingon! What does your name translate to?
Actually Vidiot was my first AOL Screen Name back in the day to be more precise it was VidotGod. It was a name my father made up for me. It was essentially an acronym for Videogame idiot god because he hated video games. Though my mom and I loved them. So when I got my own AOL account and started Simming I eventually adopted CptVidiot and several iterations of the same after. So i've been "Vidiot" forever. Kind of took to it to sort of get my dads goat.
Actually the name does not really translate to anyting in particular. Sokoth was the name, and Qul'tuq was the house name. Though the character was only half Klingon, but had a traditional Klingon name.
When I joined a gaming group called Tactical Zen back in the day they made that signature for me. Its fitting, as was the gamer tag. I fought like a klingon. Head strong, running head first into combat, not expected to survive (Sometimes I didnt) but I used to pull of some amazing things. So the name stuck. Was wicked with a pump shotgun in Counter Strike, and a knife in Battlefield.
Yes, I spotted the movie reviews section you guys have and I may very well contribute to that as I do see movies frequently. I used to do movie reviews for TacZen and some of the other groups I was in.
Welcome Sokoth! Nice to meet you. I've always been a fan of Klingons as well. I'm not officially a Trekkie, but am a BIG TIME TNG fan.
What did you think of their makeover in the "Into Darkness" movie? (If this gets us too far off topic, I will happily jump forums to further the discussion.)

Into Darkness.... I have a love hate relationship with that movie. I like it as a movie and when you come to grips with the timing it was nice to see that they included Kahn, just a few 10 or 15 years earlier that the TOS not to mention TWOK. I like that they stuck with the original theme but made some changes. It was just a complete rehashing. I'm still not sure why they did it though. I will say this...
Now this is my Treknology coming out.... In regards to that black beasty of a ship... Even for the time period they did not have sufficient technology for a vessel of that size and design to fall into the gravity well of a planet, crash, and not suffer from a Warp Core or Antimatter release upon impact. Out of everything in that entire movie that was the one thing that I will most certainly call BS on. However... it is possible that with Kahn's great intellect that he ejected said items before re-entry off screen while the enterprise was falling.
I'm not so sure the Enterprise would have survived that fall either truth be told. In the state she was in, her structural integrity was already compromised, low energy reserves even for having their Warp drive back online. Maybe enough power to drop her in the ocean or even the Bay and avoid a massive catastrophe, save the ship and make the ship salvageable but not just arrest a fall like that. But more believable than the crashing of that other vessel into a city.

Eh. Now I'm nitpicking. LOL
What's a Klingon?
