Also not a fan of Mac’s play on this – inconsistent and never landed on the wagon or, conversely, showed progression away from it. Just blew on the sparks a bit.
I dunno, I was suspicious of Sig for a reason I think. Let me look back.

Ah, yes, it was his crappity crap reasons for still wanting to lynch nutella after Jack recanted. He overcompenisated for his position by throwing a bunch of bad reasons in with the good.
1. Reason wasnt crappy
2. Was laying out my thought process.

It would be imo so much worse to instantly switch off since Jack changed his mind, especially since I didnt base my vote solely off his read and two she wasn't a civ?

Not to mention I stated a few times she wasnt my top lynch which Is why I switched off once things evened our a bit.

Some of your reasons were crappy. And you had some perfectly good reasons. Overcompensating to justify staying on nutella. Meh. Minor sus.

Of the poll choices, I’m going with Blair Waldorf, because Waldorf was one of the two old guys heckling from the balcony on The Muppet Show. I’ll check in again at breakfast and lunch to see how this post lynch content develops.

Ive explained that I thought her playstyle was similar to what I've been seeing when she was mafia before. I'm also not the only one who suspected her. I also thought I had time to delve further into it before end of day.
Why does this matter?

I'm with Radish that Nut wagon probably has scum. I mean, scum is like half the game anyway. Lol this game. But also, he should also consider that the same would apply to him if he is ALLEGEDLY town. Yeah, I saw him mentioned this in a later post.

Anyway. It depends on who got scum rules and all, but the more non descriptive quiet folks are the ones I want to see more from. Scum be hiding there often. Also scum likes to be off wagons too, so..

Good night, all.
I'm trying to find Radish mentioning that he could apply the same method to his own wagon and I don't see it. Do I understand you correctly?

Anyway the point is valid. It's goofy to focus on the nutella wagon as the competing wagon.

ColinIsCool wrote: Thu Feb 27, 2020 7:13 pm Although before I caught up I misinterpreted nutella as scum and read the thread as such, so some of my thoughts are useless.

I feel best about sig, his NANOOK suspicion and case felt really genuine. I also really like just about everything I’ve seen from ted. I like Jay so far, and Epi.

The Michelle post I quoted earlier bugged me out, I’m not sure what it meant/if it makes any sense. I agree with Epi’s concerne toward juliets.

Radishes isn’t giving me the same exact vibe as he did when I sniffed him out as 3P in Inception, but it’s similar ...
Consecutive Colin posts. I highlight two things yellow, one from Michelle and one from Colin, that follow similar themes. They discuss Radish as a third party in the Inception game with some kind of implied impact upon present reads. Michelle declares her read with a vote. Colin declares nothing and leaves the ellipsis. That's not inspired.

The non-read aside, I don't know why you'd be confused (orange) by what Michelle said, Colin, given that you talked about the same thing immediately thereafter.

Master Radishes wrote: Thu Feb 27, 2020 7:37 pm But the baddies don't know who the civs are either. (There, I said 'civs'.)

So we say Scum Team A knows nutella is not one of them. Therefore they have no issue seeing her go. There were only three proper wagons - nute, Jack, me - and Jack's went stale and died off. Members of Scum Team A, doing the usual thing, will 'spread out' a bit. They won't coordinate exactly, but the odds of at least one of them slipping into an easy vote are high. (And, equally likely, at least one of my voters is from Scum Team A as well, regardless of what you consider my own alignment to be.)

Basically, I'm playing the odds/going off many years' experience. Nutella had at least one scum voter on her somewhere.
Obviously I recognise the same applies to my wagon.

Equally obviously you all think I'm scum and would not credit my opinions on the validity of votes against myself, especially considering the reasons generally came down to 'bad impression' and 'feeling forced' and such. (You're all going to say 'of course we would' but everything I'd say about my own voters would be countered with 'but if you're scum, then...')

Also, the wagon on me had a different flow to it. Nutella's was mainly in a sudden burst; mine was a more gradual build-up, and so is harder to properly analyse, in my opinion.

I have thoughts about my voters, but they stay in my head for now.

Edit to my previous vote count, now that I've seen the poll:

Mac voted for Nutella in the poll but didn't call it in thread. So I'm not sure where his vote fits in chronologically, but that lessens my suspicion at thinking he sussed without voting.

Morning!
First thing is that posts I've read from Epi quoted or direct posted are rubbing me the wrong way. (I don't want to dive into the Colinis short Iso without saying this)

I have a thing to say, but I'll let @Michelle have at it first. Colin being bugged out
Well, first was to google what bugged out means and I don't think I get it :p
Spoiler: show
Definition of bug out. intransitive verb. 1 : to retreat during a military action especially : to flee in panic. 2 : to depart especially in a hurry.
From what I read in the whole post he said he didn't understand my post and that is concerning because I usually post plain and simple. Horrible as grammar and phrasing maybe :pout: but usually understandable.

I'd put Colinis in scum pile for unexplained TMIstic reads i've coloured in cyan and maybe the mention of Epi as the last, when Epi is usually a wild town force no matter how many posts he has. I think this post looks the worst for Colinis.

Colinis says he sniffed out Radishes in the start of Inception game and this may be true but I won't go dig for it. Is this game we have to search if the guy is scum and the simple fact he was counterwagon to a harmless 3rd part who could be a town mislynch easy makes me want to reread Radishes' posts.
ColinIsCool wrote: Thu Feb 27, 2020 6:51 pm
Epignosis wrote: Wed Feb 26, 2020 11:54 pm juliets bothers me.

She has 18 total posts. Very few of those posts are interactive questions. Rather, she's done two investigative style posts, one on Jack and half a one on nutella.

That is unnerving, because I'm used to seeing an engaged civilian juliets peppering people with questions and trying to piece things together. All of this feels like busy work. Even the conclusion on Jack is a weasel:

"Jack is very good at being scum. I need to think about and/or get feedback about my points above or other points about Jack but he is a possibility for my vote today."
Good post here, something was bothering me about juliets up to this point and I couldn’t put my finger on it but Epi did.
Epi's concern towards Jules is a shade imo.
So Colinis agrees with Epi in a wolfy way. I don't know if Epi is scum, maybe I just disliked the posts, but I can see Colinis being scum

Ive explained that I thought her playstyle was similar to what I've been seeing when she was mafia before. I'm also not the only one who suspected her. I also thought I had time to delve further into it before end of day.
Why does this matter?
Was wondering why you asked me about it when others were voting her as well. I mentioned a few times why I was voting her.
Voted a random character since I know nothing about the show.

Google shows that Dan Humphrey looks good. I agree with who voted Blair too.
That without any knowledge about the characters and scenario. I could equally RNG the poll but searching was funnier ^^

I think we would have learned more from today if we had had a normal lynch, that went to the end. So I think vote analysis is of less value than it may have been.

We had 18 votes cast out of 24 player (8 are baddies). So 6 had not even voted yet. I think it would be a conservative estimate to say, let's say 3, half of the not yet voters, could have been bad. That could leave only 5 mixed in in the people who already voted.

One of the non voters was also Dragomir, who has not posted at all.

When I am bad, I tend to try to make a big case and a big splash early to distract from lurking teammates, but I am an outlier. Most people don't do this. Of the people making big splashy cases, I found Mac the most suspish. He is also an outlier in general, and I saw him do something like it when he was bad when I hosted the Champs game with TH several years ago; make a big splashy play. Turnip Head,do you recall this? It was end game, though, so not exactly the same, I was thinking more of his thread play.

When I think back to my baddie games (and it's been a while, the last game I played I was civ), what I recall seeing the most on Day One in games with multiple baddie groups was lots of tangent voting unless you were like 99% sure one of the forming wagons was an opposing baddie. I tend to look hardest at tangent voters on Day One, people who were the only vote for a person. It's an easy way to skirt responsibility and have to answer for your vote if a civ is lynched, to be involved without actually being involved.

The singleton voters were TSP, sprityo, Radishes (lol @ whoever called him "Badishes") and sig. Of those four, sig had been making the case for Nanook pretty consistently, and was actively trying to form a wagon. The other three did not look much like they were trying to form wagons.

Of the three, TSP and sprit also voted for "Vanilla" in the Zero poll, and I am positive there were poll rewards. I think it is probable that some folks may have had info about what might benefit them. As an aside, it is notable that the Vanilla voters, with the exception of G Man, probably did not have much if any experience with Zero polls like this.

So I am going to focus on reading those 2 people, and also add in G Man, a Vanilla Voter, who was also a non voter. I think Badishes has enough people looking at him

Again, this is all less valid than it may have been had the poll gone to the end, they may have been placeholder votes, I may be silly fixating on the zero poll, etc. While I get Nanooks "use it or lose it" approach, I wish he had waited until Day Two (although he quite possibly would have taken me, given his "kill SVS with fire" remark, lol) so meh.

In looking back over the night, two things got my attention.

Someone had said Epi was not looking like the powerful force for good he can be; but, for me, like Nutella, I am not seeing bad Epi either. I think civ play is more role based, sometimes you are aggressive, sometimes you are not for whatever reason. I think baddie play (except SKs and rogues who have no chat partners) is more consistent.

And I heard a few mentions of "too much TMI" being a baddie tell. And I heartily disagree. Where I came from the civ queen was a woman who wrote posts that took you ten minutes to read. For me, "not enough *I*" is more of a baddie tell. KK, work xo xo happy Mafia Players

Good morning everyone, here we go with another day.

I have to work most of the day today, hopefully I'll be back between 2:00 and 4:30. I plan to look at a few things today: first, I need to look at JJJ's case on Radish and explore what Sloonei posted about him. Also, I want to look at G-Man because I share the concern some of you have about his participation. I want to look at Michelle because I have good feels about her but I don't know why - I'd like to move her from null to leaning civ if I can. To round things out I'll look at Colin and sabie. Sabie is so tricky because as I and others have mentioned she starts slow but as scum she's hard to catch. If anyone thinks there is someone else I should look at today instead of those above please make that suggestion.

I'll be around for a bit before I have to go to work if anyone has anything to direct at me.

S~V~S who was the civ queen you are talking about from the past?

Juliets Shinny, remember her giant multi quote posts?

Turnip Head As I recall, his team had been doing great, then they had a run of bad luck at the end, and he made a great and manic thread push to ... either push an alternate wagon to his teammate or something of that nature. He was a force of nature and amazing. He took a little thing and turned it into an elegant symphony of baddieness. His spinning that little gut read of Jacks into this huge push put me in mind of that game. I have to go find it and read it.

Master Radishes, I know you said it is hard to pick the most suspicious vote for nutella but in your opinion it is sabie. Is there something specific you saw there that causes you to pick her? I have trouble reading her at this point in a game so would like to know what you saw. My apologies if you've answered this somewhere and I missed it.

linki S~V~S: OMG Shinny. Yes I remember her giant multi quotes posts. That name brings back a lot of memories.

Blair Waldorf is obviously the correct choice in the poll. I'll allow Georgina Sparks as well.

He's actually also ok. I'll admit it.

But hey, do we not have the vote poll as a reference? Isn't that custom here? Alternatively, does anyone know what the vote count was when day ended?

It's the host's discretion to record copies of the poll; LC and BR are notoriously bad at keeping it consistently XD

We might have to snapshot it ourselves in the future.

Vote was 6-6 nutella and Master Radishes; speedchuck had a couple votes and I think Jack had one.

Good news is I think most votes were recorded in-thread with the vote tag.

I'm kind of puzzled by this analysis tbh. If you are town, which you would assume that you are, then I don't see why scum would care either way whether you or Nut was lynched. In fact, I would think scum would either a) vote off wagons to not make waves and not make themselves targets (which they could be no matter what the lynched players flip) or b) vote because they sincerely believe the player to be scum. I don't know why scum would need to look for especially "opportunistic" reasons to vote someone. I mean, sure, anyone but their team. But if you are town, then why care among the two of you?

This is not to say that there's probably scum on Nut's wagon though, and your's as well. This thread is filled with dirty scumbums.

Although, I could argue with myself here, cause maybe scum don't want to scum hunt to enthusiastically in danger of hitting the nail on the head and then get nailed themselves. But that is cowardly scum play and they should be ashamed. But yeah, maybe they could be "opportunistic", but I would still think more so off wagon or on a wagon that's not as popular.

In a vacuum, I'd say that defending Nut looks pretty good though.
