This makes me think that if dunya is bad, sig likely is too and this was an attempt to save a teammate as sig was overtaking Mac. (At least I think that's how it worked, but apparently polls aren't being saved in this game. Can someone either point me to it or confirm?) However, it actually makes me feel slightly better about dunya. Calling this seems weird when there was a decent chance (at the time) she'd be proven wrong. I'd still lean scum on her, but less so, and now leaning scum on sig, particularly if I'm right on dunya.

i agree on sloonei now, and probably nutella. i don't know why epi voted for mac, maybe he did and i didn't see why. i'll check. but his switch from sig to mac put them tied, which is ok in my books. and it was gman who tipped the scale then sloonei came on board at some point.
Epi said he wouldn't vote for Mac, took a simple answer from Sig to get off Sig, voted for Mac (I think) without comment. It's not a complicated case, but I'm willing to run with it.
There are one or two points in Epi's favor.

As far as Sloonei goes, I have no way to judge how he's playing. He's based his play on a strategic element I disagree with the philosophy on. I think he's presenting it as a preemptive defense, but it's unclear.
The case on Epi as presented here doesn't look great. I also don't really love that dunya just says "i don't know why epi voted for mac, maybe he did and i didn't see why. i'll check. but his switch from sig to mac put them tied, which is ok in my books." It sounds to me like saying yes, there's a case on Epi, but then ignoring it because reasons.

I had a strong town gut reading on Epi before, and I think it's too optimistic to think that everyone who voted Mac was saving sig - no baddie team would give themselves all away like that so early. Maybe that's WIFOM, but oh well. So I'd say coming out of the vote, G-Man actually looks the worst to me. His vote was the one that put Mac ahead. I'd follow that with dunya, then Epi. All of that is predicated on sig being bad, though, and other than the lynch results I haven't seen anything on him that felt particularly alignment-indicative.

Here's my GTH:

Dragon D. Luffy: town
dunya: scum
Epignosis: town
G-Man: scum
M Plus 7: town
NANOOKTHEGREATANDFEARSOME: town
nutella: town
Russtifinko: town
sig: scum
Sloonei: town
speedchuck: town
TonyStarkPrime: town
Turnip Head: scum

NANOOK was the hardest one here for me. Can anyone tell me if he plays a Vompatti style? It seems like it so far. I get the same sort of....lack of concern? if that's the right term, from TH, but really didn't like TH's posts about sheeping, which is why he ended up on the scum side.

Linki: RIP Epi. That NK makes me feel better about TSP - it doesn't make a lot of sense for a baddie to start casebuilding on a guy they're planning to NK.

Vompatti is what we'd call a dadaist mafia player.

There is no obvious meaning to his posts. No direction or inherent logic.

You don't understand Vompatti, you experience Vompatti.

Nanook is fucking JaggedJimmyJay compared to Vompatti.

I mean you literally hide from your wife to play mafia.

If that's not liking it I don't know what it is.
Pretty good these days at hiding the fact that I’m playing from her. I don’t hide from her in order to play. She understands that I consider this community to be part of my social life and that I consider several people here to be good friends. Thanks for making it sound like I go cower in a closet or something. If that’s something else to add to the list of things that people don’t like about me around here, then maybe I should just hang it up altogether. GoC sure made me consider it. Time changes people and forums.
Wow I hope that didn't come accross as negative, it was just a joke. I love playing with you or playing your games and I definitely enjoy having you around.

Sorry, dude.
Also my sentence was not very clear maybe, but I saying I feel you do like playing mafia.
Poor reading comprehension on my part then. Sorry for the misreading and the lashing out in general. I’ve been living inside my head too much since the start of 2019, and Corona this year has only amplified it. I perceived a slight and I was wrong. I will do better.

G-Man knows how to make a scene
And come across as kind of mean.
Ignore his temperamental fits
And any nastiness that he spits.

This is my vibe/read list after re-reading with Mac as civ. Epi was low on my good reads, but now he is confirmed civ. That doesn’t change much about my re-read, but now I want to run ISOs and see how people responded to Epi’s prodding and anybody sussing him.

Interesting kill/flip, guess that explains
why Epi's behavior was totally zanes.
He wanted to get a vote or two
and thus he acted a bit cuckoo.

I think I need to re-skim a bit
with the new knowledge that Epi was legit.
I remember he prodded both dunya and me
and then said he wouldn't lynch either, actually.

@sig, I'm not asking you to not play the game. I would never ask anyone to do that. Ever. That would be unreasonable of me, and completely mean. I appreciate that everyone has different approaches to this game. I like playing with people who have different approaches to the game; it makes it more fun. Nonetheless, it can lead to crossed wires, especially given that this game is based around deception.

I play this game primarily to have fun. Winning is incredibly important to me, and I am a fairly competitive person, but the moment a game switches over into something personal, I am no longer having fun, and even worse that anguish somehow becomes game relevant.

In the last 10 years of playing I've barely had any moments where, despite how upset I was in-game, it actually affected me in a way that tarnishes my desire to play with someone outside of game. I would never want that to happen with anyone.

Again, this is not game relevant. I'm not overreacting because it's AI. I'm genuinely upset that I am trying to better understand you, and in doing so I am PLAYING THE GAME IN MY WAY, and yet I feel like every time in my memory that I've ever done that, not only do you suspect me in-game, but I feel like I get insulted (which goes beyond the game) for being emotional. I'm sour about this going into this game already because I feel like I have to walk around eggshells around you in-game every time we play because it's built up over time.

I'm an emotional person. That's NAI. It is what it is. I'm not going to be guilted into feeling bad for it in a game where I'm supposed to be having fun. I've felt guilty about it in many games in the past, and in my life in general. It's a demon of mine. I'm not blaming you or anyone else for that demon. It is my own, and I own it.

I have nothing against you as a person, and I am not blaming you. It's why I'm that much more upset about this.

I understand that you don't realize how what you've said is outside the realm of the game. But it was for me.

I'm not asking for an apology even. I'm just asking for us to drop this please, so we can actually play a game together as friends. If we can't do that, then this game has crossed into something else for me.
[/spoi
Sorry I'm taking emotional response into account. Has nothing to do with you as a person and frankly Imma have some things to say on this post-game since I really don't appreciate how sketchily you're playing.

1) How do you define over-rhyming?

2) Who among us is guilty of such over-rhyming and does that lead you still toward suspecting them?

3) The first three players to post were Nanook, Nutella, and Speedchuck. If one of them, as you said, ‘is def mafia,’ which of those three is our villain?

Re-reading the game with the context of Mac being civ. It’s possible in a game that prohibits diarrhea of the mouth. Me likey.
1) I get rhyming to get more posts, but the risk we run is mafia will only rhyming or over-rhyming.
2) It was a general maybe comment, nobody has really done it that much so far. If I had to pick someone I'd say nanook though.

Epi is actually mindmelding with me a lot which is rare. His big read post in D1 was very agreeable. He said some weird shit but coming from him it's okay.

G-Man's lists also make kind of sense and is giving me an okay feel. Light green.

Sig is being a jerk but that actually makes it less likely he is bad. I'm not sure if baddie Sig would do that kind of gratuitous bullying on MP for in-game reasons. Basically what speed said about him.

Speed is very hard to read but the stuff he said about Sig I really agree it so he earns a light green.

SO a combination of factors effected my mafia read of MP.

Last game, which just ended with a mafia victory, the team included MP who had flipped civ, but was actually mafia. He reacted the same way there when I poked him as he did here and said I just hound him for no reason. I'm seeing the same game-play here and have the same gut feel.

Which is the main reason why I'm sticking to my guns here with my MP read.

Mac, rip was wrong there, not the end of the world. I do plan to reread some things, but overall alot of people are still just leans.

Sig he was town, died, and subbed back into a mafia slot. When you poked him he had a town PM.

That reminds me, I'm notorious for getting my fellow townies lynched day 1. I got golden lynched day 1 in economics mafia and sloonei day 1 in arrested development. They both replaced back into the same game as scum roles. So if Mac comes back in this game my recommendation is to lynch him on sight.

Yeah, this. I was indeed town when I got lynched Day 2. Unfortunately Epi and Mac were unable to find any replacements at all, so they offered it to me, and I subbed into a completely unrelated role, which happened to be scum.

Funnily enough, I also think the difference in my town and scum game was relatively evident in the same game there, and so yeah. I won't say more though.

You do realize MP replaced someone else in that game and the one you poked was town, right?

You never interacted with scum MP that game.

Hello again, it's me, Dragon
I'm gonna list the players so we can build a wagon
Someone just slayed our friend Epi
Poor dude didn't deserve to be killed for free

I also wish we could still listen to MacDougall
Who, unfortunatelly, is also dead
He had some interesting things to say about Turnip Head
Which we can't just find by using Google

You will find there are a lot of places to look
If you sit down and just take your time
We could lynch, for example, TonyStarkPrime
Or try to figure out what the deal is with Nanook

Also, what exactly is going on with Sig
And his strange beef with our friend, The Sock
I suppose reading the later can be a challenge that is big
Since here he can't just make posts all around the clock

But maybe you want to lynch a gal, instead of a fella
In which case I recommend you look at nutella
Or perhaps, you can suspect the other girl, dunya
Who, apparently, only rhymes with petunia

Just make sure you pick a wagon, don't be a sitting duck
You may find that out to be a bad plan
You could end up in the bottom of the list of G-Man
Or find yourself being questioned by Speedchuck

What about we instead lynch Russtifinko
But maybe you'd say that is a load of baloney
Instead, we could try to read our buddy Sloonei
This game is getting hard, I think I'll just go play bingo

TonyStarkPrime wrote: Sun May 03, 2020 6:27 pm Someone should be tracking jiggies
but that someone can't be me
if no one wants to, that's no biggie
it poses no benefit I can see
I'm curious enough to explore this avenue

DDL - 1
dunya - 0
G-Man - 1
MP7 - 0
Nanook - 2
nutella - 1
Russtifinko - 0
Sig - 1
Sloonei - ???
Speed - 0
Tony - 1
Turnip - ???

Sloonei has a 22 post cap. And he actually made the rhymes yesterday, so it should be 30.

TH has a 26 post cap. He also made the rhymes, so it should also be 30.

Are there any mistakes with counting, JaggedJimmyJay ?

G-Man only made 18 lines of rhyme yesterday, so I dunno if he was actually given a jiggy for it or through other means.

Sig did not rhyme Day 1, but got a jiggy by some other means.

Nanook did rhyme Day 1, and got a second jig somewhere else.

The rest checks out.

Turnip Head should be at a 58 cap and Sloonei at a 70 cap. I fixed a couple others too. I figured I'd goof these; as it's super easy to jumble maximums with currents and add the wrong stuff. Anyway, I'll correct the ceilings.

Please ask me questions privately gang.

Doesn't Sig's treatment of MP make anyone else think sig is town because of it? Like why, as a scum accusing someone he would have to KNOW is town, would sig go after a guy using false logic about a different game and also run the risk of making it so heated and emotional and personal for both parties? Sig believes what he's saying or else he just simply wouldn't have bothered (as scum).

Nanook's red peek on sig, therefore and for other nanook-seems-sketchy related reasons, looks fake to me. Especially how he chose to present it with such a soft push. Using terms like "pretty likely" to be a red check gives him some breathing room if it turns out he's wrong.

TL;DR Sig's push on MP looks genuine. Nanook's push on sig looks fake.

He is obviously implying he used an investigation on Sig that gave him a guilty result.

Also explains where he got the extra jiggy from. I assume he only gets the jiggy if he hits a mafioso, or something like that.
