so wolves will just kill people who are trying to go for an endgame of a bunch of people who don't care, and most people won't care since this game seems random and everyone is going to be faking wolf?

No. We still want to appear town, we just also want to eliminate people who we think are town. I would propose that we don’t chop the most overt or strongest town reads in this game, which does go against my usual philosophy of voting for the player most likely to produce the desired result.
We should still be solving the game by process of elimination. Chops should take place in the middle tier of town reads.

WELCOME TO HELL

The trainees cast their votes and the jars disappeared.

“VERY WELL,” THE GAME said. “LET’S GET YOU DRONGOS DOWN TO THE WOOP WOOP SO YOU CAN PUT SOME SHRIMP ON THE BARBIE, MATES. GOOD ON YA!”

The all-encompassing white became more like a tunnel. The trainees could see something far below their feet, though it quickly grew larger as they moved closer to it. It was a confusing sensation- almost like falling but without the weightless feeling that makes your insides turn all asunder.

At last, the trainees all touched down on a dusty road just outside of a small town. Steppe scrub grew more prevalent off in the distance, beyond town. The buildings themselves looked to be at the beginning stages of disrepair. In the distance, the trainees could hear a variety of disconcerting sounds- screams, gunshots, and motorcycle engines.

“ENJOY YOUR STAY! SKULL A FEW STUBBIES, BUT KEEP IN MIND YOU’VE GOT SOME HARD YAKKA AHEAD OF YOU. SHE’LL BE APPLES IN THE END. AFTERALL, THIS IS JUST A SIMULATION. HA-HA! HA! HA!”

The trainees ventured forth into this strange town that would be there home for the next few days. They had to find a place that would afford them the kind of space they needed to take care of the task at hand. It was eerie to say the least, but they would make the best of it.

Well I’m either going to be the lynch day 1 or I’m not getting lynched.

We will make it to Day 6 with 5 people alive (after 5 chops and 5 NKs). There is the possibility that mafia wins before Day 6, but I'll ignore that scenario for now, since that's not what town is playing for.


Additionally, according to the extra mafia mechanic, there will be a single mafia member left in that group of 5. So our goal is to eliminate two town on Days 6 and 7 in order to win (after first making it to Day 6).


I don't think we have to be too picky Day 1 and 2. Odds are in our favor of chopping town, and even if we miss once, the game balances it out by not allowing mafia to take one of their own Night 3. It's if we miss twice that things start getting hairy.

But I'd encourage people to talk to give everyone who makes F5 more info to work with and the game doesn't turn into a rand.

I like sloon’s suggestion of keeping a strong town voice or two, but might it also be a good move to try and kill obvious town when we see it?

Mafia still has to kill at night, and they might as well kill the towniest like usual, decreasing our odds of finding towniest. So each day will start anew finding our towniest voices. Is that a viable strategy? Hmm
