I said I thought malin was good because I'd realized maret's death had snuffed put any chance of victory I had so all my decisions from that point on were pretty much arbitrary. It was fun while it lasted though.

Anne went after Malin fairly consistently until the resurrection event, and now no longer considers Malin a threat (something I find strange since Malin had no positive opinion about Redferne). Not sure what to make of that.

Anne Redferne has never received a vote.

Anne's thread presence strikes me as student, though less so than Jane's did.

A few things bother me about Anne.

She jumped on the Karin case eagerly, but then retracted her support of the case after realizing it was based on faulty and misleading claims. However, she voted Karin anyway, also voicing support of a (supposedly) telling Jennet lynch.

Despite what Redferne said to Whittle, lynching Jennet would (I believe) be a wasted lynch. If I'm right about the resurrected ones being in the service of evil, and Anne is bad, then lynching Jennet would be the perfect crime. Waste a lynch that sets up someone else.

I'm exhausted and mentally dead atm, but I actually enjoyed reading this.

I didn't really see the idea of lynching Jennet as being completely wasteful. Jennet had said that her sacrifice would result in somehow revealing proof and that just kinda excited me I guess. I get excited when things that have never happened before happen. Can you imagine? Later on we could have been all "Hey remember that time when we lynched a guy who was already dead and then it led to discovering a baddie? Damn that was crazy."

As for briefly my retracting my support on the Karin thing... I'd adopted a very dangerous tendency to take people at their word and I hadn't realized it until then. It hadn't occurred to me that a once dead civvie would just rise up from the grave and use incorrect facts to support things. :0

My preference today is a Karin lynch. What I was saying is that a Jennet lynch would work almost as well. Jennet seems to be saying that her lynch reveal would provide evidence of some kind which would lead to Malin's lynch the next day, making the two options analogous. The only differences being that one is slower but more assured, and the other is riskier but possibly more efficient.

Suggesting we lynch Jennet or Barbara only proves NOTHING except that you prefer to waste lynches. Why would you want to waste another day of no lynch Anne Redferne? Why would any sane civ want to lynch someone who is dead? They are not rezz'ed and are not here permanently this makes no sense to lynch them.

Excuse me? :\ I was literally just talking about how i didn't want to waste another lynch on Malin, and Alizon. I've been in moderate agreement with the case on Malin basically from the start, but there are many who aren't. Jennet suggested allowing herself to be lynched in order to prove why her get those particular people on board and I saw the logic in it. It's a compromise with very little risk involved. The fact that they aren't here permanently is exactly what makes Jennet's plan logical.

If Karin comes back bad I think her partners are Jane Southworth and Anne Redferne and ofc Alizon.

Completely wrong about me, I am in agreement with you about Jane however.

the idea of lynching jennet to verify her intentions does sound maybe worth doing. if Jennet is going to return to being dead anyways then maybe it would be better to do that? her undead status does afford us that unique opportunity after all

the idea of failing to lynch alizon or malin again doesn't really sound that great, and the responses to the karin case today have been very interesting, so i think i'd be okay placing my vote there

The Sorcerer's Stone gives an Elixir of Life that means you live forever. It does not mean that you cannot die or bring people back from the dead.
The Resurrection stone really just gives ghastly copies of people. In the seventh book, before confronting Voldemort, Harry uses it to hear his parents and family talk to him. I don't remember if any other people who used it got bad results.

There was an instance of "came back wrong" in the creation myth of the resurrection stone.

The three brothers who encountered death each asked for their own item, the second brother asked for a stone to cheat death. "Cadmus" used the stone to bring back a girl he'd loved and wanted to marry before she died, but the version of her that he brought back was merely a shell of her former self. He felt separated from her by a veil. Once he realized the limitations of the stone he killed himself out of grief so he could truly be with her.

So not really the happiest of stories.

well it definitely seems like a trap to me or some kind of gambit, a player doesn't just suddenly say something like "yo imma resurrect this confirmed baddie" unless they've got an angle, unfortunately, that there is a trap may in fact be exactly what she intends us to think, hence the "might"

as someone pointed out earlier, there's only 12 players left and up to 3 of those are baddies, so if alizon is Voldemort for example and can't die until horcrux shenanigans take place or something like that, then she could be trying to absorb the votes and quash potential discussion of her teammates

that alternating thread presence thing is an interesting idea :0 i hadn't really noticed it. maybe one of them survives odd lynches and the other survives even lynches or something?

i guess my counsel would be that we should definitely do the list thing and discuss our other suspects, if we think malin is the best option then yeah i think we should lynch her because i think she's a teammate of alizons
