Bass_the_Clever, what are your thoughts or reads on the six new players in this game? I have not seen you mention any of them yet. The same question stands for Black Rock and fingersplints.

Re: Death and Taxes: An Economics Mafia [DAY 7]
So I'm trying to look at kills. Some of them make sense for both Gman or sanmateo (MP for possible info role). I think TH's death could be more connected with sanmateo. I did find this which was interesting. I forgot MM was on to bass early, but specifically he didn't like bass not mentioning the 6 new players.

this guy knew he looked bad after the Roxy lynch. he didn't hide from it and he didn't feed anyone any WIFOMburgers.

The MP kill implicates G-Man more than any kill implicates sanmateo imo.

I'm trying to look at TB and sloonei now. I think with all the TB role speculation it could be argued for both as well. mafia always want to take out dangerous roles first. info and role stealing definitely are civvie powerful.

if G-Man is mafia, MP had both of the remaining baddies in his top 3 suspects. and i honestly found the MP kill choice a little bit surprising. he was playing well definitely, but he didn't seem to be attracting quite the same trust as some other high-posters.

if sanmateo is mafia then he knew who the other mafia were the entire game. and he didn't vote for any of them once even when he had opportunities to do so. even when their lynches were safely secured.

Yea it does seem easier. I have to look at the times of all his votes again. I have been bad in games before and deemed it too late to be able to safely vote my teammate anymore. I don't think either have great votes.JaggedJimmyJay wrote:if sanmateo is mafia then he knew who the other mafia were the entire game. and he didn't vote for any of them once even when he had opportunities to do so. even when their lynches were safely secured.

Day 7: The Fleetingness of Time
DDL's death had put a tiny crack in the sense of indestructibility experienced by the civs. They realized that now there was a chance that their capitalist utopia could still be torn down before it was even built. To compound the problem, the sun seemed to be moving much faster across the sky, leaving them less time to discuss how to put their ideas into practice.
As the sun was dipping below the horizon, they rounded squarely on sanmateo. "You were friends with those dirty Communists!" they said. He protested, but couldn't convince the others.
"I'm wearing a bulletproof vest!" he shouted at them. "You can''t kill me; this is a waste of time!" The group huddled up, and asked themselves what to do about his conundrum. Someone astutely observed that he wasn't wearing a bulletproof vest on his head, and so they shot him there. They had no more time to waste; there was work to be done.
sanmateo has been lynched. He was Joseph Schumpeter.
It is now Night 7. You have 24 hours to send in your PMs.

Sorry sanmateo. RIP. That one is definitely on me.
JJ, I firmly agree on splints. I haven't been able to follow where your brain is at, given yesterday you thought sanmateo's case on splints had merit, but I agree anyway.
I'm not sure why you trust vomps, but lets see how that plays out and if you still think so if vomps does or does not do what you expect him to. Fair enough with no details.
I feel bad that JJ felt I forced their hand. I had no choice but to vote when I did. I wish I could have waited but I couldn't

nah. all three of us voted for him and so we share the blame. and sanmateo himself to a lesser degree.Golden wrote:Sorry sanmateo. RIP. That one is definitely on me.
remember when i said the discussion during that heated portion of the day would be very telling come LyLo if we get it wrong? this is what i was referring to. splints was gushing town-tells during those proceedings (earnestly trying to work out who is really more deserving of a vote, communicating her feelings thoroughly). a mafia player doesn't care who gets lynched as long as it's not him/herself.Golden wrote:JJ, I firmly agree on splints. I haven't been able to follow where your brain is at, given yesterday you thought sanmateo's case on splints had merit, but I agree anyway.
yeah we'll have to see. i hope he comes through. it doesn't have to be with me though. as long as he has a good idea of who is a townie in the Day phase he should be okay. if i am right about him of course.Golden wrote:I'm not sure why you trust vomps, but lets see how that plays out and if you still think so if vomps does or does not do what you expect him to. sanmateo forced our hand more than anyone else. the lynch stop thing was hanging over our heads and it could have genuinely ruined the entire game. if he'd stopped the lynch on Day 7 and then gotten lynched anyway on Day 8, game over town loses. that's why it's a relief to me that he didn't use it. now we can shift our focus collectively to the real problem. ahem.Golden wrote:I feel bad that JJ felt I forced their hand. And I now think that maybe what you are thinking about vomps is what I was thinking about g-man, but I'm not sure if I'm on the right track with that (with us seeing the same role, I mean).

And I now think that maybe what you are thinking about vomps is what I was thinking about g-man, but I'm not sure if I'm on the right track with that (with us seeing the same role, I mean).
any player who wanted Roxy lynched on Day 4 cannot fit the bill.
