I can't guarantee I'm right, but what I have is 'might happen'.

This.

I hadn't thought of this before. If Dom isn't randomly sending out roles, then maybe he's sending out ones that fit together?
There were 4 unique PMs for Day 1, right? Well, there are 4 independents. 1 was seemingly obviously pertaining to one of the independents. Maybe the other 3 are as well?
Yes, this has been my theory since we established that there were four unique PMs Day 1. I think our next step should be putting them together and trying to match PMs with their specific roles, as best we can.
And the book reading PM (we can say it's about Wildhorn, just can't copy and paste) was a baddie.

Maybe Dom is systematically revealing the abilities of bad roles.

As for corruption, I'm still uncertain, but I would assume every night LC had a chance to pick a player he thought was one of the 3 plays, and if he guesses right they're corrupted in whatever capacity that means.
I admit that I've hardly looked into the Wildhorn/Book PM at all because others (you, for one) have been doing a much better job than I would at piecing that thing together. Are we certain about that role's ability? "Corruption" is a vague word, and do we even know for certain that it appears in the message?

I'm not sold on the idea that its the four independents. The main reason is that my instinct says Rogers and Hammerstein would have something to do with btsc in their role description and we haven't seen that at all yet in the four messages. My theory is it's one from each faction.

Also, because I suspect my one is on Wildhorn's team.

I feel that one of LC's teammates 'stopped time' at the end of day 2 to save his bacon.

I wonder if its Jekyll and Hyde... you can give your team (effectively) a spare day by stopping the lynch, but if you get lynched you take away a night. I dunno, though, if any of the other musicals makes more sense with a 'stop time' aspect to their role. I just don't know wildhorn's stuff at all.

Ok I agree with your points Golden. Could be Jekyll and Hyde. I've acted in that show and it sucks btw lol. The song 'Confrontation' makes sense for this, because he's basically attempting to end his long "night" but Hyde won't let him.
On the flip side, I feel like Dom would miss an opportunity to make Jekyll and Hyde like a bomb type character, a la 'one can't live without the other.' The stop time angle makes sense with that video, which has me wondering who is behind those messages. You guys think it's Dom or a civ role??

Woo hoo! Two for two!

I'm going Les Mis. It has less votes, and while I really like the storyline of Les Mis, Russell Crowe's horrid singing in its most recent adaptation cannot be forgotten. Also, I've never seen Miss Saigon, so I have no opinion of it, but since both musicals are apparently sung-through, it would probably annoy me, too :P

I have a strange feeling about Wildhorn's team.

Maybe...maybe the fact that there wasn't a lynch tonight was that the whole team is MIA?

Should this corruption be a thing, we must assume that they have no say in the voting process. So do their goals change to winning if team Wildhorn wins, but with no say in the matter? That's a pretty shitty way to be forced to play the game.

Scotty's point is that if no-one is around to put in the kill, it seems unlikely LC would have targetted an absentee.

I'm not so confident no-one is around. I would think a block is the more likely explanation. Doctor saves an individual, blocker simply stops any kill attempt.

As far as I know yes. I'm assuming it is a form of recruitment, and that the targeted player does not have a choice in the matter.

I'm with you. Mine is also civ role, and from what I've got so far, it's important, sounding. I'm sure Sloonei can back me up.

linki- and not the WHOLE team, but since there's only 2 left, it shouldn't be a unlikely possibility that a couple could be bad.
Should I feel as optimistic as you. There is approximately a 13.89328% chance that Long Con "corrupted" someone.
Scotty's point is that if no-one is around to put in the kill, it seems unlikely LC would have targetted an absentee.

I'm not so confident no-one is around. I would think a block is the more likely explanation. Doctor saves an individual, blocker simply stops any kill attempt.
Epignosis put a tinfoil hat theory forward a little bit ago that lines up with your theory somewhat.

By that theory, I don't think Turnip Head would be on Long Con's team. Bullzeye I could see killing Epignosis, Gumshoe is new around here, and Devin is a sporadic player.

OK, I think I solved it. Theory time - Into the Woods appeared in the thread because someone correctly solved Wildhorn's role by PM. If I solved this correctly, I think a second role description might appear.

Is that true? I figured it appeared around the time Epi was lynched, and since there haven't been any night kills in a few days, that's the only one that was revealed. So I maybe thought Epi was Into the Woods, and they're revealed as night kills happen? Eh?
Though maybe not. I seem to be wrong in my speculation of late.

I'm still missing a few words in mine, but know the general gist. It's about Jason Robert Brown, so I'm a little hesitant to post too much info.

I have that working theory too Scotty, but that seems a little more unusual. But both of them do, in a way, so I dunno. My response from Dom didn't feel as encouraging as his response on the first one. Makes me feel like maybe I have something wrong.

nutella is an interesting case to watch. I'm not gonna get into my analysis now nor will I have time to (nor do I feel like I have that gut feeling on her as of yet), but she pinged me slightly after the Sloonei [almost] kill. Sloonei seems to be on to her as well, which is what is making me evaluate her more closely. If Sloonei could talk, I'm sure he'd fill in the thread more.

But this singer has been oddly specific the past few nights. Could be a red herring, could just be flavor text. But I think if it's a civ, they know something.
nutella wrote:^wait, what? I just see that he died... and is on the poll, but that's probably an error unless Dom posts again that he's alive?
but as for now, RIP Sloonei. That's a loss for the thread, he's been really helpful.

Singer, whoever you are, you're very wrong about me.
General disbelief that her team didn't kill this time? 'No, I refuse to believe Sloonei could be so lucky. He's dead. Oh well. rest in peace, blah blah' is how this post comes off to me.

Could you be getting framed, nutella? Eh, anything is possible. Do I like my eggs sunny side up? Eh, sometimes.

There's that seemingly frustrated, "...again"

I'm probably not gonna touch on this again for a while, but I do want to bring it to attention now, to maybe vouch for Sloonei's current vote for nutella.

I was quite suspicious of Nutella when I joined the game, but nobody seemed to see what I was seeing. Funnily, lately she seems less suspicious to me. I usually have good initial instincts (I started out with LC and Sig being on my suspect list) and then people seem to find a way to ease my suspicions and make me trust them more. It might be the case here. That said, I've had my share of really bad first instincts, so who knows.

Scotty, I genuinely misread the post about Sloonei (I thought his "exit" meant he died). And I'm of course glad nobody died, it's just surprising to me that it keeps happening. We're getting quite lucky both on that and the lynching baddies front.

From a civilian point of view, you could say we've had a rather successful game (as you can probably tell from the front page).

Out of the four lynches we've had, 2 of them have been mafia, 1 of them an independent role, and 1 survived.

We've only had one successful nightkill happen on Night 1.

So we're looking at only 1 civilian dead at this point, or possibly even 0.

Yay for no death! Even though I'm probably still going to vote G-Man, his vote chart is helpful. My initial takeaway from it is that the later LC voters from Day 1 are unlikely to be Mafia 2, since the vote was fairly tight all the way up to the end. And given the way MM has played, I very much doubt if he's on that team, so I think basically all of the LC voters on Day 1 are not Mafia 2.

Similarly, I'd think the early Sig voters on Day 3 are probably not Mafia 1, but once it started to turn into a runaway, I'm thinking one or two teammates slipped in. So I'd say Sloonei, Scotty, FZ, and Bubbles look pretty good in that regard, but MM, Ninja, or FS (or more than one of them) could have been a bandwagon vote for a teammate.

I agree. And I think all of G-Man's "Oh noes! How will I make my spreadsheets with all this DASTARDLY VOTE CHANGING! I am so shocked that VOTE CHANGING EXISTS! I am unexpetedly inconvenienced by this VOTE CHANGING!" is an attempt to do some pre-distancing for when we inevitably figured it out.

My vote is on G-Man for today.

I had figured out that the vote thing alternated so that they're changeable every other day, but I hadn't considered that it could be linked to one of the mafia teams. Interesting.
