Re: Lost Again Mafia (Season 2) - Day 1
Could be a useful way to limit the baddies' options. If only three people are on the beach and one of them is a baddie, it would take a bold baddie team to have their Beach Body baddie take out one of the other two and make it easier to figure him or her out. I admit that it doesn't help much but it could make one of the two locations a safe house of sorts.Quin wrote:What is the advantage of that?G-Man wrote:Circling back to this prior thought:
What do you all (everybody) think about piling the rest of us in the hatch, leaving three people on the beach to pressure any beach-dwelling killers into abstention?G-Man wrote:Converse strategy being we get everyone to claim a location and load up one location each night and only leave two people at the other (the Beach tonight, for instance). That way the baddies will try to flock to the fuller place to hide themselves in or abstain from killing if they're one of the two at the other site.
Reading this does give me an idea of something to look out for, though. I'll elaborate another day.
As the game progresses, we could also coordinate the location calls and stick any super-civvies in the small spot. One part bait in case we're wrong about any seeming super-civs and two parts keeping those players out of harm's way.
There are potential drawbacks (bold baddies, an indy killer unafraid to draw attention, misreading players, abstentions, etc.) and the game may be too small to try it effectively. Then there's the human element. "Don't tell me what I can't do!" and whatnot (I'm looking at you Locke).
Just thinking out loud here, really.

Crick in your neck after that sudden turnabout? Damn near gave me whiplash. Still, might be abit too obvious for a baddie to try. I'll look past this comment for now.Spacedaisy wrote:G-Man losing a little of his standing with me already, that was quick. I wouldn't go as far to say as that I think this is a valid strategy, but at the same time I'm leaning towards thinking that this comes from a civilian mindset than a scum one.G-Man wrote:Could be a useful way to limit the baddies' options. I also had a thought that we could put our top scum reads together and sit everyone else in the other location, but abstaining from a NK would make that pretty ineffective. The mafia abstaining from the kill may work in our favour, though. And like you said, people just might not cooperate.

lol, what can I say, I play by my gut. And my gut says I don't like a plan that encourages one site where more people will intentionally gather, effectively making it harder to narrow down who might be the killer.G-Man wrote:Crick in your neck after that sudden turnabout? Hi all.
I am feeling ill. I will need to rest by the beach for a day or two.
But for real-- I am ill. Please excuse my crabby-ness or subdued play.
How do we feel about G-Man?

As for G. I cannot decide if he is trying to be a helpful civ or if he's being deceptive. His plan sounds like it could be a good idea except for the fact that we can't just put people here and there. They are going to choose where they want to go. And from my experience, I say most civs won't go along with a plan or agree to work together. There's too much skepticism/ego for that.

G-Man's proposal didn't seem too wonky to me. I don't think it'd work, cause everyone just does whatever they bloody well please around here, but I don't think he's shady for suggesting it.

Mornin. Back to pushing the button. Nice job whoever did it, you can go rest now.
So here's something I don't quite fancy.
Elohcin not buying Soneji's thoughts on G-Man, which were that G-Man might be forcing it with the tone.
Then Elohcin isn't buying G-Man and his thoughts.
This might be our usual shade throwing baddie Eloh. Starting with a vote here.

I'd say you're wrong. Singling me out for roleclaiming when a bunch of other people did it as well just doesn't make sense to me, dude. I, like, didn't try to force anyone else to roleclaim or do anything like that. I dunno about you guys, but I think Ana, I mean, G-Man's plan could help us out, especially in order to protect guys who say they have, like, power roles that could benefit the civ cause.
I'm willing to give it a shot, and I'm gonna head over to the Hatch tonight. Jack told me to inventory the food, so I'm gonna try and get started on that. Plus, there's a record player.
Anyone seen Jack around? He's been kinda silent lately. Probably just went marching off into the jungle to go save our lives again.

Why him? You want to know people's thoughts. Tell us your own thoughts on INH.Quin wrote:I want to know where people's thoughts are, so I'm breaking the '1st to vote' stigma with a vote for INH.
Funny, I knew someone would bring that up. As I was writing it, I thought in my head, someone was gonna say, "ahhwwaa, Eho's being wishywashy". Boo on you!Ricochet wrote:maake your own kind of music... mmmm hh hh hhhh hh mm*
Mornin. Back to pushing the button. Nice job whoever did it, you can go rest now.
Wha?Elohcin wrote:Did y'all all have a Lost marathon without me to refresh your memories about the show? I am kind of lost by some of these postsRicochet wrote:I am contributing, brotha. So here's something I don't quite fancy.
Elohcin not buying Soneji's thoughts on G-Man, which were that G-Man might be forcing it with the tone.
Then Elohcin isn't buying G-Man and his thoughts.
What was the trouble, then, to dismiss Soneji's skepticism, if you're just going to bring your own?Elohcin wrote: As for G.
This might be our usual shade throwing baddie Eloh. Starting with a vote here.

G-man seems very helpful. I don't think Soneji was correct in his thoughts on G. But Spacedaisy's comments on G had me thinking.
Sorsha, I don't knwo where your son is. I am too busy wondering around the island for hours leaving my own to be babysat by others and starve.
I'm not totally caught up, but posting anyway.
Banners are cool, but a pain to scroll through so...
I've won a lot of games. I've hosted some games. The end.

So, I'm Hugo Reyes, and I'm a vanilla civ. Dudes.
Also, the numbers are bad.

I don't like anyone who's withheld their location for tonight until the last minute.

I'm just gonna put my vote on you until you either give another explanation for why you suspect me, or you remove your vote.

Re: Lost Again Mafia (Season 2) - Day 1
Crazy Theory #1: Charlie, Kate, and Sun were all cover identities for baddies in Season 1. Both Charlie and Kate are roles that have been claimed. I trust these two roles out of the sheer unlikelihood that either one is bad again. That would clear both DFaraday and Epignosis for me. I'd prefer to see more (any?) substantive content from Epi but I find I'm suspicious of him far too often (like I am with S~V~S).

Were those cover roles randomized the first time?G-Man wrote:Crazy Theory #1: Charlie, Kate, and Sun were all cover identities for baddies in Season 1. If yes, then here's a not so crazy theory for ye:
Three roles are cover identities for baddies in Season 2 as well.
That's it.
